Well, it has been a year in the planning and designing-- and finally completion! Sean is creative, experienced and professional. I was involved with every stage of the project which COMPLETELY transformed my 1/2 acre property in North Central Phoenix. I wanted something original and with a modern twist. I also wanted a garden. All my wishes were beautifully put together to deliver a large functional garden and incorporate the fruit trees I wanted. Custom fountains, bridge, patios, fence/gate and garden shed all were exactly what I wanted. Designs were reviewed with me at every stage and the final products far exceeded my expectations. He uses the highest quality materials and plants. I would recommend Sean and Mountainscapers without hesitation.

Sean and his crew were amazing. They reconstructed my whole yard in October. Spring is now coming and all i have to say is amazing. I wake up to a beautiful oasis everyday and love it. Not only is my yard picture perfect they were very professional, never left my place a mess, always had things organized and picked up. My husband does underground/grading and he was very happy with their progress as well as their care of our place.

Sean did an outstanding performance in transforming our basic desert backyard and pool with an elementary water fall into a stellar green oasis with the totally amazing handcrafted waterfall that my husband loves, and now all of our friends want to spend the weekends at our resort! I am so pleased with Mountainscapers’ landscaping work, both hardscape and plantings, done this summer in my Flagstaff yard. The yard’s previous minimal landscaping was not in keeping with Flagstaff’s piney environment, and had also become overgrown. Now, after Mountainscapers’ work, the yard blends beautifully with the surrounding pine trees, as well as the house—in the selection of plant material and mulch, the addition of contours, the elimination of formal edgings and chipped granite, and the creation of a lovely boulder-edged drainage way looking just as it would in the forest.

Mountainscapers’ owner, Sean Anderson, was a delight to work with—a good listener, creative, industrious, cheerful, and kind. When I had to leave town for an extended period before the work was done, I had complete confidence that all would be completed as planned. We kept in touch via phone, text, and photos, and I was delighted with the results when I returned. Sean was also very patient in helping me understand the irrigation and lighting systems.

I was also happy with how Sean found ways to reuse materials from one part of the yard to improve something in another part, thus reducing costs and accomplishing some fixes I hadn’t contemplated getting done this year.

I plan to work with Sean and his hard-working, skilled crew in the future and recommend them highly for any yard project, big or small.

Sean with Mountainscapers Landscaping and his team are by far the best fountain company I have worked with. I currently work in the multi-housing industry and I was struggling trying to find a company that actual focuses on fountains. I stumbled across Mountainscapers Landscaping during my Google search. Sean called me back right away and came out the next day. He was able to find out the problem with my fountain so quickly and was very efficient. He is very knowledgeable. He was a lifesaver. We are just getting started but want to review our initial zoom meeting. Sean used Google Maps and other on-line tools to help us both create an exterior landscape plan to fit my needs.

Landscape architect Sean Andersen artfully elevated the whole feel of our house once surrounded by untreated ponderosa pine forest. Sean’s creativity and imagination transformed what was once a flat, rocky, unusable space around the house into a magical and romantic extension of our living space. The front of the house features a blend of Flagstaff native high desert plants that will bring colors to our views.  Mountainscapers Landscaping skillful crew curved the concrete, added a pattern and color to it so it sensitively makes part or overall design. Beautiful handmade gazebo and firepit are our gest favorites. The new flagstone walkway leads around the house and curves alongside the newly created elevations with hand-picked boulders, planted trees and shrubs to take us on the bridges made from amazing Sedona flat boulders. Design thoughtfully incorporates rain or melting snow drainage and supporting boulders walls. We are absolutely happy with this harmonious esthetics of natural elements and craftsmanship.

We re-landscaped our backyard this spring. Sean had some great ideas when we started, and added some good tweeks as we went. He selected top quality plants, trees, boulders and tile. He used a creative irrigation system that kept the grass, trees and plants looking fresh throughout the summer.
He put his plans in the hands of Oscar and Sammy. They were on the job everyday for nearly 3 months. Their work was impeccable.

Mountainscapers did a fabulous job completely redoing my backyard patio and plantings, from the design to the installation. Sean had many good ideas and was always responsive during the project. Sean Anderson of Mountainscapers gave us a very detailed and creative design. We started with an empty backyard with an elevated pool, visible pump, and with minimal decking. Sean worked very well with us to achieve a beautiful outdoor living space full of life. Everyone that sees our yard has nothing but compliments. His attention to detail was awesome, as was his communication and timeliness. I never expected to have the yard look so complete in such a short amount of time. Sean also has a great crew that executes his concepts with perfection.

My wife and I were looking to develop an outdoor space for a 14 year old house. I had three bids, talked with several contractors on options using natural organic material. Was ready to give up, but have 10 weeks we finally met Sean. He heard what we wanted, steered us to an existing design in his portfolio. Within 1 week we had an agreement including design, material, color,... The crew was very knowledgeable, started early, and handled the details. We had one moment of decision making but did not lose a step. I believe there were three material deliveries, one the crew refused because it was incorrect. Worked in the excessive heat and when they left the place was neat and clean. 👍

The end product is fantastic, awesome, ... It fits perfectly into the architecture of the house. It looks like the structure always was there. 😀 The materials captured our intentions within the project and was right on budget. It was a great pleasure for my wife and I to work with Sean and his team. The result is approximately 700 sq. ft. of patio space that we love and will continue to enjoy as it develops over the years. 👏

Sean did a great job on our backyard privacy project.

I contacted Sean, told him I did not want to see the new home that was being built behind the one side of our backyard and he took care of the rest. His passion and attention to detail allowed him to design an all natural solution that combined trees and large bushes and looks completely natural while providing full privacy between our back yard and our new neighbors home.

Sean came over to my home several times during the design phase to make sure his solution would not impact any of our existing mountain and city light views. Sean is so pleasant to work with and I felt like I was able to be involved as much I wanted in the process.

We were very, very happy with the outcome of our patio project. The patio is now our sanctuary. And I am convinced that it will be a major selling point for our home in the future.
