Decided to fix up my house this last year starting with getting rid of the grass in the front yard in exchange for desert landscaping. Planning on staying in my home for years to come and I wanted something special but didn't know anything about outdoor design. That is when I met Sean. Not only did he deliver on an amazing design but executed it in the final product. I can't wait for the trees and plants to grow and give me my desert escape in the middle of the city. He listened to what I had to say and came up with something I never would have been able to imagine myself. Sean is truly an artist. We had been looking for someone to build a shade structure that had rustic wood logs to match our Territorial/Santa Fe Style house. When I came across Mountainscapers Landscaping website and saw the photos, I was hopeful that they could achieve the look. And they did. Sean was efficient and very communicative every step of the way. We were very particular with what we wanted and he and his crew delivered! Whenever we addressed any concerns along the way, he was always willing to do so and with such positivity. I never felt like I was "being difficult" or putting him out (like my experience with other contractors had been in the past). He always put me at ease and was willing to hear and give me exactly what I wanted. The crew was respectful and always cleaned up their mess at the end of the workday which I greatly appreciated as well. We are so happy with the results both esthetically and quality-wise. In fact, we are currently devising ways to add more shade structures because we love it so much! Will definitely be calling Sean again soon!

Today I had a zoom design consultation with Sean from MountainScapers. I was quite pleasantly surprised with this call and approach. I consider my project to be challenging, and previous design consultations with other companies have fallen flat. Sean took the time to understand my needs and desires, and then working with me using a site view of the property, walked through various options that deliver a big wow factor, bridging the discussion with photos of recent projects that illustrated his concepts for my project. If the deliverables match the design consultation, I will be exceptionally happy!

Sean and his various crews on different parts of the project did an incredible job on my back patio. He was creative in designing and agile when it came to making changes that would either create a more beautiful or functional space. His crew paid great attention to detail and cleaned up as much as possible after the day’s work, which I immensely appreciated. He built me a patio that is now my favorite place in my house to sit, read, and relax.

Sean and team did an exceptional job with our very aggressively sloped yard. They even worked a change order into the original schedule. Overall, not just a home run—but a grand slam! We would definitely recommend Sean and his team.

We were looking for a design firm that would provided us with a unique, desert landscape and Sean did just that. We will be returning for future improvements in other areas of our property.

Sean was very generous with his time of an hour free consult over zoom. I liked that he could take a picture of our backyard and draw on the screen to show his ideas. We look forward to working with Sean and his team more in the future on our project and we are excited by his ideas and creativity.

AMAZING! NO REGRETS! :) Sean was super responsive and collaborate, start to finish; never an awkward moment. Office staff and especially the onsite work crew were friendly and answered all questions. Any minor issues were promptly resolved to satisfaction. As you can see, the pictures don't lie.. just look at that custom gate! Support small businesses that actually care about artistry, craftmanship, and service.

Scope of project: enclosed backyard with block wall + that custom gate, full laser grading and mounding across a large corner lot, removed grass lawn and replaced with full xiroscape rock, gorgeous riprap border. After several heavy rains, drainage is great. Could not be more satisfied! :)

I wanted to convert my ugly yard with nothing but right angles to curves and organic shapes. Sean worked with me and converted my concepts and desires into reality. I wanted a curved bar and BBQ - and Mountainscapers came up with a unique design, recommending a shade structure and water feature along with lots of trees and desert tolerant plants (NO CACTUS). Sean was always creative and collaborative recommending improvements to the design and ultimately delivering an environment - no longer just a yard. It's my "outside office" and a space we now use 10 months out of the year.

I had Sean design my backyard and I absolutely love the results. Sean is truly an artist and his enthusiasm about the project makes it really fun and exciting. He is also a perfectionist and will make certain everything is done to your satisfaction. If you like fire and water concepts....Sean is the guy. My backyard is totally transformed and I love being out there now, where as before, I rarely hung out in my backyard unless I was in the pool. I can't wait for some cold weather so I can enjoy my fabulous firepit and tiki torches.

Sean provided a professional drawing that really allowed me to envision the end result. He also provided a proposal that laid out each individual piece of the plan individually priced which made it so much easier to work around my budget. Sean is a great listener and really cares about making his customers happy throughout the whole process...he is there when he says he will be there and his crew is courteous, friendly, and fun to have around. All of Seans recommendations that I ended up selecting were perfect and blended flawlessly into my existing landscape.

This is a preliminary review as my project is not completed yet, but this far I have been mostly happy with the work Sean and his team have accomplished. Sean is always available and is typically easily to contact so you know what is going on. His team is tidy and respectful of my neighbors, neighborhood, and property (not all contractors are). Finally, the design process has been a lot of fun. Sean provides your dream proposal and then works with your budget to make sure you get the most bang for the buck you want to spend, although watch the prices of any add-ons you get. Everyone is extremely courteous and professional.

Edit: project is finished. We did have a few snafus, but what huge project doesn't? The only major issue was a product that did not match anyone's expectations and Sean made it right. The entire Mountainscapers team does legitimately care about your happiness as a client so if customer service is important to you, you will get it here.

The end result for me is beautiful. I've posted some before and after photos. I have so much more green space, plants, pollinators, and everything I was looking for!
