My original review of Desert Crest is below all of it still stands. Updating to add that we recently had Jesse's guys out to do some maintenance, replant things that we lost to wildlife eating/digging, and make a few changes in the yard. While it wasn't a huge project, Desert Crest put a bunch of resources behind it to get the job done in 3 days. They even cleaned up areas that were not within the scope of work just to make everything look great. I am sure other contractors would have taken much longer and not gone that extra mile. The design work on what plants to add and where look so good I wish I'd pulled the trigger on this update even sooner. Bottom line, repeat business is a sign that you are doing something right. And Desert Crest certainly is doing that. We'll continue to call Jesse when we need something for the yard.

Original review: Jesse and his crew are outstanding. They are meticulous about details and worked in a timely way to get the job done. We’ve had Desert Crest do two large scale projects in our yard and both of them left us certain we’d chose the exact right people for the job. Jesse is very responsive to any concerns and they made suggestions for design changes along the way that absolutely improved the end result. While some contractors are busy upselling you, Jesse made suggestions that didn’t put more money in his pocket, they just made sure the finished project looked fantastic. The efficiency of how they executed our job was impressive. We always had someone working and you could feel the constant momentum toward a transformed yard. A very, very positive experience. Would not hesitate recommending desert crest.

Desert Crest did a great job designing and constructing our outdoor fireplace with two fountains along with an outdoor kitchen and sitting area. It has been 7 years of enjoyment and time to replace the fountain pumps, etc.

Desert Crest did a wonderful job replacing what we needed done and them cleaning/sealing the fountains. In fact, one of the guys this time was part of the team that built it all in the first place so he really knew what he was doing. They are on time, very knowledgeable and helpful, and communicate very well every step of the way.

The fountains look and work like brand new again and we look forward to many more years enjoying it all. Thank you, Desert Crest team!

They did a fantastic job with a pool water feature remodel

Jesse has an amazing eye and sharp eye for detail. His crew is kind, efficient, and extremely hard working. It has been a pleasure working with Jesse and would HIGHLY recommend anyone working with him. Thank you so very much Jesse. I am thrilled and beyond!!!!!

The Project: 2,500 square feet of travertine paver, custom fire pit, custom aluminum pergola, water feature, stone facing of existing BBQ island.
Our background: I worked in residential construction from laborer to finish carpenter. 40 years in hospital work including serving as the Owner's Rep on construction projects. My wife and I have had three houses built and two extensively renovated. I would describe myself as having high expectations.
Outcome: Excellent quality. On time. Less than 2% variance in cost due to issues that came up during the project (issues nearly always occur during renovation projects). All issues/questions resolved quickly and fairly to our mutual satisfaction.
The Rating: We rate Desert Crest and Jesse Inzunza as a 10 on a 1-10 scale.

We used Desert Crest for a total renovation. Literally every part of our front and back yards were demoed and rebuilt. Chuck developed an amazing design that met all of our needs. Outdoor kitchen, putting green, firepit, pergolas, water feature - all of our wishlist was made a reality in a cohesive way that turned out so much better than we could have expected.

Jesse and all of the crews were onsite everyday - weather permitting. The demo crew, the masons, the stone workers, everyone was so professional and it was clear they knew exactly what overall the vision was going to be. Nothing had to be redone. As the project progressed, we made a few changes and additions, as can be expected. These change orders were priced up front and all the costs were very transparent.

Our friends and family love our yard. We have hosted numerous parties and gatherings, and every time people can't quit commenting on how great our yard is. We have used our backyard more in the past two years than we did in the previous 50! I would highly recommend Desert Crest - and I have on multiple occasions.

Recently the mechanical gearbox for our pergola became inoperable. A phone call to Desert Crest was all it took to set the wheels in motion for a repair. Two days later (weekend) a crew came out and replaced the gearbox in no time and had us back up and running with a full functioning pergola. (No charge).👍

I hired Desert Crest back in April 2020 to build a water fountain feature in my patio, which has been the envy of all my neighbors. I have enjoyed my early evenings relaxing in cooler weather listening to the sound of my waterfall over a glass of wine. Fast forward two years later and I observed the waterfall feature was no longer flowing as it originally did. Something was off and wasn't sure if it was under warranty. I immediately called Jesse expressing my concerns and he didn't hesitate to come over to assess what was happening. He and his team were able to identify the root-cause and without any questioning called his crew into action to fix my water fountain. I built a new home & used Desert Crest for designing & building my outdoor living spaces. They were easy to work with, had fair pricing, were honest about timelines (even finished early!), used quality products & had a great team of kind guys to do the work.
Jesse is responsive every time I need help with my landscaping, lighting or irrigation. They built a front & back patio for me with pergola & beautiful tiles. They landscaped my entire yard. Now I need to have them out again to do more as my project list keeps building. Thank you!!!

Desert Crest just completed remodeling our backyard and swimming pool. They are simply the best at what they do!
They start by using a drone to map our property. After the design team determined what we wanted, an incredible video was produced.
No shortcut was taken to complete the job. The craftsmen were talented and meticulous. Each had worked for Desert Crest for over a decade. That says something about the Company and and its leadership.
My wife and I love what they have done for us. Just about every night we're in the backyard, delighted in the decision to use Desert Crest!!

Jesse and his team did a complete demo and remodel of our backyard. Pool deck, building of raised plant beds, stucco the block wall wall, installing a pergola, complete irrigation system, built in BBQ, new pool equipment and comprehensive landscaping. They did an amazing job! Team worked six days a week from early morning to sunset with very few down days until the job was done. All workers were polite highly skilled. I would recommend them to anyone looking to bring their landscape dreams to life.

I can't say enough great things about Desert Crest. Jesse leads his teams with a very hands on, management by walking around, frequent visits to the job site, and complete attention to detail way. He and his team leaders, like Chuck, are extremely knowledgeable, and are great communicators. The culture of their teams is uniformly superb, they don't stop until everything is completely right.
