I live in gated community, received violation notice of tree with mistletoe needed to be taken care of within two weeks. Contacted Santa Rita, Thomas came checked it and unfortunately the whole tree was infested and needed to be removed. Worked with excellent timing with the association, came with his wonderful team took care of the removal, replaced the tree with approved one of Associotion list. Thomas and his crew are excellent, professional, hard working and passionate about their work. They are truly remarkable impressive team.

Joel and T
The prominent reason I choose WSR was because Joël answered his phone it was not an answering machine with a “We will get back to you” message.
On top of that service was excellent Joel helped pick to optimum bin size for the project out of the available inventory, delivery and pickup were prompt and the driver "T" and the driver that picked up are friendly, pleasant and helpful.
We will call you again.
Thank you very much

Had such a wonderful experience with Thomas and Santa Rita Landscaping. Thomas is a certified arborist and is clearly very passionate about what he does! It was a sad day when my work office realized a large, beautiful pine needed to be taken down in the parking lot given it was leaning heavily and at risk of snapping. Thomas and his team did a fantastic job with this task, but the coolest and most impressive thing came after. You see, employees at the company I work at loved this tree, and were curious to see if we could ask the team for a tree round to keep in our office. When asked, Thomas immediately said he'd be happy to not only make sure a nice round was cut, but he offered to take it home with him, process and treat it so that it was flat and wouldn't crack, and then bring it BACK to our office! That was more that we could've ever hoped for, and Thomas offered to do it free of charge (clearly, he is a passionate arborist!) Throughout this time, Thomas communicated with us regularly, shared with us the age of the tree, and was just an all-around awesome person to work with. Thanks to the SR team and especially Thomas for taking the time to provide us a with a beautiful memory of our beloved tree!

Thomas and his crew did an amazing job. He thoroughly answered all of my questions. They cut down a huge, sick tree and cleaned up more than the tree remains. My yard is super clean.
All three crew members delivered excellent customer service. They did not take any shortcuts; instead, they went the extra mile. My neighbors were impressed to see how quickly they completed the job. I will look no further for future landscaping needs. -
I can’t express how happy and excited I am that Jose Valles and Manuel Garcia over a few days ACTUALLY cleaned the park behind my house. I’ve lived in my home going on 7 years , NEVER has the park behind me been actually fully cleaned and trimmed. I usually do my best to keep the overgrowth from the park out of my yard . So excited they went above and beyond to make sure and clean the park properly.

Amateur plumbers, even worse customer service. New home drip irrigation set up leaking from every joint. I have been stood up on a repair appointment and ignored on having my calls returned even after the Operations director Gene swore "we're known for our customer service". My fault for assuming he meant good customer service. Stay away from Santa Rita.
UPDATE: After this posting Chris was out at 8 a.m. the following day and completed the repairs. Thank you -
My driveway was over 25 yrs old and the asphalt was coming apart. Not only was it unsightly but dirt was regularly tracked into the house. There was also an issue of drainage after rains which often backed up on my carport and drained into my neighbors yard. After consulting with several contractors considering both concrete and paver options, we chose Santa Rita Landscaping. The price for the pavers was only about $2000 more than concrete and provided a much more aesthetic look that matched our adobe block house. In addition, Ryan was the only one who offered a solution to the drainage problem which was to install a small drain in the tree swale and route the water via a 4 inch pipe to a lower point in my backyard which could water trees with the excess water. The workers did a great job in all stages of removal of the old asphalt, configuring the elevation so water would drain gently to a particular point, and carefully installing AB sand/gravel underlayment, then sand, then the pavers and finally a coat of fine sand between the pavers. I am very pleased with both the appearance of the finished product and its functionality. Many people have commented on how attractive and well done it is. the Crew was great to work with and kept me informed of progress and any issues along the way. I would highly recommend them for this type of work.

Thank you so much to the Arbor crew from Santa Rita Landscaping; Thomas, Certified Arborist, Alejandra, Arborist in-Training and Sasha, Crew Member. It is obvious that the entire crew really enjoys and takes pride in the work they do. I would most definitely recommend the Arbor Services of Santa Rita Landscaping. Pricing was reasonable and the job was completed beyond my expectations. This past Saturday the Arbor Crew removed a much-loved Palo Verde that was unfortunately riddled with mistletoe, planted a beautiful tree in its place and also planted two other trees on my property. The crew were very professional and courteous. They made sure they knew exactly what I wanted before the work began. The job was completed quicker than I expected and they left the work areas cleaner than when they arrived. Thomas even left the stump evenly cut so that I could put my St. Francis statue back in its place in the garden. If I have any tree work required in the future on my property I will without hesitation be calling back the Santa Rita Landscaping Arbor crew. I'm extremely happy with the work they performed. Thank you for a job well done.

Had a massive 100 year old salt cedar that lost an 18" limb in a wind storm. I called their certified Arborist, Thomas McDermott and he was on site within 2 hours to assess the tree. Thomas communicated to me that the tree was in very poor shape due to the previous owners toping the tree. He provided photos and even cut the branch that fell off and into segments so we could see where and how the rot was making it way through the tree.
After accepting their very reasonable bid, Thomas showed up with a team of absolute professionals, Sasha who is learning the trade under Thomas (Great teacher for her) Eric and Ian, the 2 tree climbers were absolutely mesmerizing to watch. Their speed and knowledge was very impressive to see. Then there was the absolute savage ground guy Benjamin. Every single branch that came out of that tree he'd move out of the way and make piles to make the chipping process go much faster. Everything about our experience with Santa Rita was flawless from start to finish! Huge thank you to Thomas and his entire team, you all deserve a raise! -
Santa Rita Landscaping, Irrigation Section, has a tech named Juan who came to our house to "repair" an irrigation leak. What was supposed to be a repair wound up being a complete install of a new irrigation system. He arrived early (around 6:30 am) with a young helper and began the whole uninstall/reinstall process. I asked him how long it would take, approximately, and he said he would be done by noon. However, he had everything done and back working by 10:30! He is amazing and never left a sign that he was even here. He does incredible work and he knows his stuff, too! Great job!

Thomas came out to look at mesquite tree that had been neglected for many years. The tree had plenty mistletoe and other problems. His recommendation was to cut down the tree and replace. His team came out, cut down and replaced the tree quickly. My yard has not looked this good since we moved in 32 years ago. His team is very courteous and professional.

I recently had a full backyard landscape project completed by Santa Rita landscaping. I can't say enough about this company. They did an amazing job! From my very first call into the office to sitting with the designer to working with the people on site everything was perfect. They are professional and quick to take care of your every need. My designer, Rosalie, was amazing. She immediately made me feel like she really saw my vision for my backyard and helped me to make it come to fruition. The supervisor in charge of the on site project, Jaime, was incredible. Every detail was important to him. The head supervisor, Lalo, checked in on the project every day. He made sure that it was making my dream come true and that everyone was doing what was necessary. The crew cleaned up after their work every single day and made sure that I was happy with what was going on. Numerous times it was said to me that nothing was more important than making me happy with the project. How often can we all say that about companies today? Again, I cannot recommend this company strongly enough. They truly do make dreams come true. Thank you!!

After meeting with landscaping companies, we hired SRL for our courtyard project and we are completely happy with our decision. SRL transformed an empty space and built a custom water feature, created a wall of plants and had specially-designed wall trellises installed. Coming from CA, we did not know if a living wall was practical in the AZ weather but Jeremy listened to what we wanted and incorporated everything into the design while staying cohesive to the style of our home. Keone (our project manager) checked in regularly, kept us well-informed and made sure our courtyard was ready in time for family who was visiting. Alex handled the day-to-day and he is very detailed-oriented. The entire team was professional from beginning to end, and they worked with our budget without compromising our vision.

We had our dirt backyard converted to a warm and inviting oasis with turf, pavers and an area set up for a fountain (To be delivered from Zona Fountains)
In the end, everything turned out beautifully and we couldn't be happier with the results. The crew was hard-working and showed up consistently. The main guy, Fausto, was a gem and a hard-worker. The quality of work is superb. The negatives were that communication was sometimes poor or lacking. We had to keep pestering people for status and updates... The job that was originally estimated for one week was later estimated at 2 weeks and then, in the end, took a month. The other communication issue was a language barrier with the crew but my husband used a google translator app that ended up being a God-send. It was a stressful time but, in the end, they made good on everything and fixed things we weren't happy with (there weren't many) and did right by us. I wanted to give 3-1/2 stars but I couldn't add a half. We solicited bids from 5 different places. 2 came out but never provided quotes. One quoted very low which concerned us that he didn't understand the job, and the other was extraordinarily high which indicated he didn't really want/need the job. Santa Rita was high but we knew that going in. We got high quality turf and pavers and a stunning backyard.
One of the highlights was working with Lori Powell on the design. She was amazing and the design is better than what we ever even imagined. -
The storm knocked down my mesquite and the guys were really kind. They saw me outside and asked if I wanted it removed as they were doing a neighbors house and I mentioned it wasn’t in my budget. They came the very next day out of the willingness of their heart and not only removed but also helped me plant a new one. Not only were they quick and efficient they were very professional. I recommend them 100% . If I could rate them 10 stars I would.

We used Santa Rita to design our yard and install it. Everything turned out great. It was a good experience and their crews were fantastic. You won't be disappointed.

I would like to commend the folks at Santa Rita Landscaping for a job well done installing our new landscape design — which was previously a patch of dirt that came with the house when we purchased it eighteen months ago. The design was created by their in-house design team who responded to our wish-list, along with their intimate knowledge of which plants would survive and/or thrive in our desert climate. The final design called for paved walkways and seating areas, a water feature, a turf area, and generous plantings with rich textures and colors.
The installation was led by Enrique who, along with his crew, executed the design with precision, efficiency, and thoroughness. Enrique proved to be very knowledgeable and quite skilled at laying the pavers, building the water feature, and installing the plantings and irrigation. While working in Arizona’s extreme June heat, they completed the job in a timely manner, accommodating our personal design “tweaks” and maintained a cheerful and courteous demeanor. Keone, the project manager, was also very responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the buildout and resolved all issues quickly.
We would be pleased to recommend Santa Rita Landscaping to anyone interested in a quality landscape installation project. -
We picked Santa Rita Landscaping after reviewing many photos on the internet. What attracted us to the was their overall theme, which in many cases centered around a fountain. I have a water fountain my Dad built 57 years ago for a house he designed. I always wanted to use the fountain somehow, but never had a good idea on how to implement it.
We called Santa Rita in October of 2020 and met with Jeremy. He listened to our goals, showed him our current landscape photos and outlined our budget. He had some good ideas and we agreed to move forward with a proposal from them. We met again in mid-December, which Jeremy showed us a very detailed, professional drawing of their vision for our project. After going through the plan, we made a few minor changes and signed the contract. We also signed a contract for a Pergola that is handled by one of their trusted partners.
They stay very busy, with work scheduled out several months. This is a sign of a good contractor IMO. We got a window for the work at the end of March 2021, which worked out well for us. A meeting was held at our house with Jeremy, Esteban (Foreman), myself and wife. We went over all details. One issue that came up several weeks before the work begun was our choice of pavers. With COVID-19 problems, tumbled pavers was near to impossible to be had. Jeremy and Kristy (the project administrator) were able to track down the correct pavers in Phoenix and have them delivered on site without additional cost to us! Outstanding.
On the start date, everyone converged on our house....porta John delivery, pavers, gravel, sand, dirt, and the crew. I oversaw a worldwide engineering firm for years and the start day always amazed me to see it all come together. This was no exception...these guys are professionals!
The crew lead was Jose'. This guy is amazing! He aways had our plans close to him and was able to sequence all the steps perfectly. Our job was not huge, but required 2-weeks schedule for completion. The way Jose' sequenced it, I thought it was all out of order, but by the 4th day, I saw how expertly he had it managed. I also had HVAC replacement scheduled at the same time and had wanted pavers placed for the outdoor condenser units. Jose' made sure they were installed in time for the HVAC contractor. In fact, provided a very sturdy and level base where the condensers will never have a sinking problem.
Jose' placed all the pavers, including the curvy sidewalk path he made out front. Did an outstanding job! The plumber/electrician, Juan and I discussed how to power the low voltage lights as well as connect up the fountain. I really had no clue how he was going to build the fountain. He came up with a perfect solution by drilling a 1/2" hole through a rock and placing the fountain head through the hole and allowed the rock to be the base! I would have never thought of this! It was perfect! He also fixed our irrigation supply and provided the water to the fountain by connecting into the main water supply to the irrigation system. This has worked well. I use Apple Homekit smart switches made by Meross to control the fountain and the low-voltage lights.
Jose' was always available to me to discuss how he thought certain things should be done and made sure I was in agreement before proceeding. Our communications was excellent and I never felt he pushed his idea on me, but rather was alway interested in making sure I was pleased with how every detail was done. This was refreshing to me. Usually one had conflicts with contractors, but not one conflict and all outstanding items were address immediately.
I cannot speak highly enough on Santa Rita Landscaping! It is interesting to me that I hired CertaPro Painters to paint my exterior since all my landscaping and HVAC work is complete. Joe, the owner came out to provide a quote and remarked how nice the landscaping was. He wanted to know who done it, when I told him, he got all excited as he recently signed a contract with Santa Rita Landscaping to do landscaping at his house! -
0 stars. Hacking up plants under the guise of “landscaping” and completely made a mess of bushes and native plants. Did not clean after the hacking either.
Spend your hard earned money elsewhere with landscapers who know what they are doing and who know how to care for native plants. -
Just completed comprehensive landscaping of our backyard and we're extremely pleased with the results. Rosealee, Chris, Enrique and the entire team were great. From design to project completion, the Santa Rita team was involved daily and responded to all our inquiries promptly and professionally.
