The guys do a decent job in the 1.5 hrs of work,
but do not finish everything we would like done
and $225.00 seems too much paid for so little
work. So I will be looking elsewhere for landscaping help.

EcoSense worked on my backyard last summer. I wanted to replace my grass yard with desert plants. EcoSense was punctual, did the work in the time they estimated, and did a wonderful job.They installed a tank that harvests water from the roof, put in ollas (pots put into the ground) for watering, ran pipes from the tank to the ollas, planted two or three plants around each of the ollas, then sprinkled wildflower seeds all over. This spring I am enjoying the results. The tank is full and watering has been easy. Each plant lived and flourished, and for the past two months there have been flowers in bloom throughout the area. Hummingbirds, bees and butterflies are enjoying the flowers. I got a rebate from the city for the installation, and EcoSense's invoice provided information that made the application easy. I recommend them without reservation.

Ecosense installed our irrigation system 5 years ago and it works wonderfully. When I have an issue, they send someone out to repair in a day or two. I highly recommend Ecosense.

Eli and Andrew worked with us to develop a phased plan allowing us to setup rainwater harvesting, choose and install native plantings and create swales to catch and hold natural runoff in retention areas to water trees and plants naturally. They also installed an above ground garden trough and some decorative garden art. We disconnected our drip irrigation system and have put in additional native plants landscape which are thriving. This year we added ollas to help water local plantings. We have referred them to several neighbors and will continue to do so.

Eco Sense put in our gray water and Rainwater harvesting sytems and did an amazing job. Both projects were scheduled with lots of communication, completed cleanly and quickly and any little details that werent exact were fixed immediately (like really nit picky things that other contractors would have rolled their eyes at)

EcoSense Sustainable Landscape has our highest recommendation. Eli Nielsen, crew and associates transformed our backyard into a beautiful walled garden, replete with specimen succulents, fruit trees, flowering shrubs, water features, well laid out paths and garden art that doubles as a bee habitat. Everything was done with an eye toward sustainability, using Sonoran desert natives and the latest in water harvesting techniques.

Ecosense did such a nice job putting decomposed granite in our circular patio area, we love it!

For a while we have wanted to redesign our yard, and rainwater harvesting and xeriscaping was a priority. We discussed our ideas with rainwater harvesting companies and landscape designers in town. Ecosense really understood how to put the two priorities together. Eli and Andrew listened well and also recognized our desire to have a child-friendly play space and garden beds.

They created an exciting design plan and were present for nearly the entire instlallation. They not only addressed our goals and priorities but did so in a creative way.

We are really excited about the final outcome. Since the yard was completed the children have spent many hours engrossed in play. we have spent time outside with the entire family and we have planted seeds and love running out to watch them grow. We’ve enjoyed watching the passive basin fill during the recent rains and have been happy to see that the water which used to pool near our house is now directed away.

We can’t say enough about Eli, Andrew and their whole crew. We recommend them without hesitation and are excited to see them help others transform their yards while conserving resources.

Sorry to say, EcoSense will no longer be doing landscape maintenance. They will be focusing on building and planting projects. We are still enjoying the garden they installed seven years ago and the work they did to prevent flooding in our yard during heavy rains.

EcoSense converted our flat, lifeless backyard with mesquite trees to attractive, multi-dimensional area with an ephemeral stream meander with infiltration areas, boulder groupings and succulent plantings throughout. Andrew and crew was very professional and came to back to tweak boulder groups for roof runoff. My only complaints were the delay in from initial site visit to scheduled work and office manager didn't get back with me on water rebate program (however Andrew was quick to return my email).

Employees know what they're doing and how to do it. They prioritize keeping my irrigation system running properly. They emphasize the ECO in their name, and therefore don't use harsh chemicals such as Roundup. Their treatment kills weeds but less effectively. However we have been customers for 15 years and are satisfied.

Eli and crew did a great job landscaping our back yard and installing ground drains to move excess water away from the house. The plants and trees are 1 1/2 years old and are growing well. I highly recommend them, they stand behind their work. We continue to use them for maintenance.

EcoSense has installed two projects for us through our Neighborhood Scale Stormwater Harvesting Program, one in Barrio Viejo next to the Fire Station and another at Nash Elementary School. With each project they have provided competitive pricing and very high quality installation. Eli and Andrew bring a wealth of plant, water harvesting and material knowledge to their work. We also really appreciate the research and experimentation that they incorporate into their projects. Their work is long lasting and sustainable.
