The owner of this roofing company is honest, caring and you can count on him to do what he tells you he is going to do. His workers replaced a roof that was over 22 years old. I have no more roof leaks and no longer fear the rain!

I was in a situation where the house was under contract and the roof required replacement. I called Chris and a few other places for quotes. Keep in mind I live in NC and am doing this from the other side of the US. He guided me to the most efficient solution that was up to $7K less than competitors. They were professional and sent me videos of the progress on my roof as well as keeping my realtor informed. I am very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

I called in Chris after last summers monsoon hit hard and damaged shingles. Tanque Verde Companies responded much sooner than the other companies. Plus their slogan "Why replace? We repair!" is certainly a slogan they practice. Chris is trustworthy and will do his best to honestly complete only what needs to be done. I recently called him back for further repairs which he covered under the prior warranty. I will continue to contact Chris at Tanque Verde Companies for all my roofing needs. Job well done!

I don’t like to write negative reviews, but here is my experience with this roofing company. Recently, I purchased a house and the roof started to leak after the first rain. The previous owners gave me a receipt showing they paid $4500 to repair the roof with a 3-year warranty, and the leak happened in under two years. I called the roofer, and he said the warranty isn’t transferable and can repair it for $1500. After I declined, he said he could repair it for $800. I told him I’d think about it. The following day, he called me , and he said he would repair it free of charge since he repairs several houses roofs in that neighborhood. I said great. It took him a few weeks to come and see where the leak was, and he said he would come the following day to repair it. However, he didn’t show up. A week later, he messaged saying he was busy and would come the following week. Now, he ignores phone calls and text messages, and weeks have passed, and he hasn’t repaired it. if he had been honest I would have looked for another roofer, instead my roof continued to get damaged because he never replied and did not follow through.

Chris was referred to us for handyman services by a realtor. His communications via text were almost immediately rude, abrasive and aggressive. We should have not opted to move forward with the work. Ultimately, due to necessity and timelines, we did choose him even though his quote for our modest work was significantly high. He also would not provide an itemized accounting of pricing for work. His employees however provided quality work, but though there were reductions to the scope and scale of the work being done, he actually increased the amount by several hundred dollars. When we refused to pay more for less work completed and paid the nearly $3000 that was originally quoted, he continued to threaten legal action and was combative in more text messages demanding more money. His entire interaction was unprofessional, unpleasant and we will never do business with him again.

*This is a follow up to the unprofessional, dishonest response from Christopher Cilano, the owner of this disgraceful business (see below). To clarify his statements, the three tasks (which were only two tasks) which he attempted to upcharge 400+ dollars were putting batteries in a couple of smoke alarms and putting caulk around one sink. He also quoted over $400 for replacing a skylight. When that task changed to just cleaning a window, he not only did not reduce the charge, but added the abovementioned $426. We should not be surprised at his distasteful and unprofessional response. There are other very similar reviews here on Google and also on Yelp that all illustrate his foul temper within communications, dishonest practices and threatening behavior. Hope this helps other would be customers to seek out better service or to serve as notice to Mr. Cilano to address his poor professional behavior and improve his practice.

Chris provides great work and really cares about the customer. He is easy to work with and very affordable. He finished my roof on time and followed up with me to make sure I was happy.

1 by 1 Roof and Solar has been professional, tidy, well organized and their follow up has been excellent, making certain everything was completed to my satisfaction and always ready to answer any questions I had.

I shared 2 years that we had our solar installed and everything was great, 2 years later and our system has not worked since June and when I called and asked for the concern to be addressed was told I had no warranty… they are scam artist!!!
