Worked with Maks for over 10 years on various projects, if you have a home improvement project and are looking for value, quality and trusting your contractor, then Maks is that contractor.

I asked for a quote to install 160 ft of baseboards. I was quoted $1850 by Mak at primespec. When I told Mak that the highest of quotes I had gotten where $450; his response was that he had plenty of business and didn’t need me. I guess he thought that I inquired about a quote and that implied that I needed him. I think that was unprofessional and just because I asked him for a quote doesn’t mean I was out of options. He is an opportunist and tried to jack his price up because he apparently thought I was desperate. I would not recommend this business.
In response to primespecs response: I was not upset that the quote was so high. I simply stated the facts and and he told me that he had plenty of business and did not need me (Mak needs to read his text messages. I have them for anybody that would like to see them) I’m upset about his pompous attitude and unprofessional nature. I had several bids from Licensed and bonded contractors and the highest one was $450 just as I told him. Shop around before you deal with this hot head. His quotes were 4 times more than my highest bid.

The shiplap ceiling that Max put in my (Joyce's) kitchen is exceptional work. Also, Max installed crown molding in the bedrooms that turned out perfect. Max is talented and very professional and just overall great to work with.

I am a retired management professional. During the past few decades I’ve handled my fair share of construction projects, big and small, both personally and professionally.
I must admit only a handful of these projects stands out in my memory. Unfortunately, mostly they stand out because they were horribly botched by the contractors. Then came Primespec as a shining EXCEPTION!
I contacted more than half a dozen contractors for my home’s relatively massive project. It involved building entryway casings (width-wise two 12 footers and two 6 footers), wainscoting for a 30 feet hallway and coffered ceiling (20’ x 20’ sitting room, and 6’ x 30’ corridor) project. Less than half of them responded but Primespec owner Maks was one of the few who would take the time to understand what needed to be done. He was the ONLY one who came back with a feasible proposal to work within my budget.
Once we concluded the agreement, a date was scheduled to commence the project. We subsequently left for an overseas trip for two weeks. Complete radio silence during this time. Then as agreed, Maks and his team showed up on the appointed day, and the transformation began.
Working with Maks and his partner Roman has been more than pleasant. Besides being punctual, respectful to our requirements, these guys are professionally well-equipped. Among other things they custom built an entryway keystone from scratch based on a photo I provided and it turned out better than the picture. During the course of the construction, they often would offer insightful suggestions. These suggestions typically resulted in higher level of esthetics that surpassed our expectation, even though, alas, these would also mean extra work on their part. They are artistically perfectionists.

If you have a challenging project, Primespec are the people for you. I needed to replace my interior doors and I ran into an issue of odd sizes for my door frame. When I went to buy doors, the people at the store told me that I would need to order custom size doors which would cost triple the price of a regular door in Home Depot. When I expressed my dilemma to Primespec they told me not to worry. They fixed all the door frames to fit a regular size door and saved me a ton of money. On top of that they replaced all of the finish trim and made all my interior doors look amazing. Thank you for being awesome in what you do.

Maks and Primespec are FABULOUS!! We just had Primespec install crown molding throughout our home, and we are so glad we went with this company! From start to finish, Primespec was the way to go. Maks got back to me almost immediately when I first inquired about crown molding and then spent half an hour on the phone with me discussing the job. His price was reasonable and, after coming out to our home, he gave me two quotes so I could choose to save money on the job by painting the crown molding myself if I wanted to do so. We chose to have him do the painting though, and he did a fine and thorough job of it. Most importantly, the work he did in installing the crown molding was flawless! My home looks so beautiful and is greatly enhanced now! Maks and his coworker were punctual, stuck to the schedule, worked hard (their lunch breaks were short and quick), and were unobtrusive. Best of all, they are perfectionists and my crown molding shows it! All cracks and nail holes were filled, all surfaces were painted, and, as a result of their dedication, the crown molding looks exceptional! We have been doing a lot of work on our home recently and, honestly, Primespec has been one of the top companies we’ve worked with. They get my highest recommendation!

We hired Maks again for a kitchen remodel, recessed lighting, and living room floor installation. Every aspect was again smooth and professional, and benefited from his sense of design and aesthetics. He and his crew even built a custom breakfast bar. Highly recommend his services!

We hired Maksim to repair some dry rot on our house and he did a wonderful job. Maksim was very responsive and made sure to do a walkthrough with us after he was done to explain exactly what he did and answer any other questions we might have had. The support beams on our high level deck had reached its use exhibiting dry rot issues. I utilized a service called Build Zoom soliciting for contractor recommendations. I had already received a bid on my own. Build Zoom had one response: Primespec. The owner was prompt responding to my bid request, surveying the issue, measuring the work area, and on-the-spot informed me on what was needed. Within three days I was presented with a bid. After researching the contractors work, this was our choice. After the set-up formality a date was arranged. Primespec arrived on time, prepared to start, and performed the job devoid of any time delay issues. What’s more, we received more area repair at a lower price compared to the first bid. The final results were perfect. My wife and I are still admiring their work. Would I hire them again? Yes we would.

Maks was professional, responsive, polite, on time, and of course did great work! It was a pleasure having him around and he was also very accommodating when we changed plans slightly/ added a project, and revised his estimates to clearly account for that. Maks also explained the scope of the projects very clearly, both when we hired him and each day on the job, and also answered all the questions we had in a professional manner.

We have worked with several other contractors in the past for renovations to our bathrooms, kitchen, and flooring, and Maks is at the top of our list for any upcoming projects. We are thrilled with the work he did for us and our family room is a beautiful new space after the work he did to remove an old gas fireplace, modify and expand an odd below-stairs storage area, change the access door to the space, and add beautiful new wainscoting.

My home needed siding removal and replacement and I had 3 contract bids but I chose Primespec Construction to do the work based on their contract proposal.
Primespec followed their proposal removing and then replacing new siding after City Inspection approval to complete the work. During the repair and replacement they were always very clean after each days works was completed and my home looks very nice. I plan to have addition siding replaced and will again hire Primespec Construction to perform this siding replacement.
Maks Apanovic was always taking me through each days works and plans for the following day until all work was completed.
If you are looking to do any king of home repair or replacement I highly recommend Primespec Construction.
