Exemplary Tree Service! I called CAL STATE TREE SERVICE mid-afternoon and Jesse promptly answered, providing information and advice on what I needed. Additionally, he provided a very competitive appraisal on the services I requested. The very next morning, a crew of workers arrived to remove 2 diseased 35 year old Velvet Ash trees from my front yard. The work was done quickly, professionally, and all interactions with CAL STATE TREE SERVICE employees were satisfactory and informative. I highly recommend this service and will return to them in the future with any tree trimming or removal services I may need.

I appreciate the work these guys do. I had multiple deliveries of wood chips for ground cover and they dropped it exactly where I asked and even avoided some muddy traps that could’ve been messy. Very professional and well maintained equipment.

We had Cal State Tree Service trim a 100 ft tall, overgrown Eucalyptus tree, to half it's heighth in our fairly tight back yard. They were on schedule, arrived with all the equipment needed, did a great job, and good price. They were very respectful of the existing landscape, us and our neighbors. We look forward to their return after nesting season to remeove the rest of the tree and stump, and it is huge. Highly appreciated, good job, thank you!

I had three huge pine trees fall on my neighbor's roof last Sunday, when Bakersfield experienced gale force winds and rain. The folks at Cal State Tree Services immediately sprung into action - though it was Sunday - removed the trees from my neighbor's roof and a huge amount of debris. The following days they cleaned up my property, removing wobbly trees and all the debris on my side. The had the able people to come in with large trucks, cranes, tractors, and haul everything in record time. They left the place perfectly clean and ready for landscaping. Finally, the prices were very reasonable, and the manager was honest and straightforward. I give this company and its able workers my top ranking and highly recommend them to everyone!

Read the reviews, and you'll see that the complaint I wrote below is not an anomaly. They may respond that this is not "the level of service they aspire to, but given the number of similar complaints, these would appear to be empty promises.

I would not have these guys trim my dead mother's toe nails, let alone have them trim any of mine, my family's, or my extended family's trees. I called for an appointment to bid on trimming 3 trees. I spoke to Jesse, who I assume is either the owner or at least a manager.

Jesse told me on Saturday, 11/23/2024, that he would be out before 12 pm on that day. I told him I wasn't in a hurry but that I did have a movie that day for 3:45 pm. He told me he would be out "way before that." He never showed. He never called. He never texted.

I called multiple times on Monday (11/25/2024) morning. I left messages and still. He never showed. He never called. He never texted.

I wrote earlier that, "I would not have these guys trim my dead mother's toe nails, let alone have them trim any mine, my family's, or my extended family's trees." Maybe it is just a case where Cal State Tree Service is better suited to be morticians, where they CAN trim the nails of dead people. At least then they would not have to do what is needed in most businesses, COMMUNICATE.

I recently had hired them to take care of some tree work and I'm thoroughly impressed they operated with great efficiency and care ensuring the job was done to the highest standard the crew was respectful and left everything neat and tidy I highly endorse their services

Cal State Tree Service did an amazing job on my Mom's Chinese Elm Tree. She has taken care for over 45 years of this tree and I'm sure she is looking down from Heaven right now very proud. No call, no show for a scheduled estimate. Wasted hours of our time waiting for them. Would not respond to phone calls or text messages after not showing up.
The only reason I gave 2 stars was that they did a decent job for us 4 years ago on 4 large trees, after rescheduling on us once.. It was a 2500 dollar job 4 years ago so we assumed the prices had gone up which is why we were asking for the estimate.
We won't try to use them anymore or recommend them to anyone else because it is just so rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional to just not show up at all without letting us know.

I had a tree stump removed by Cal state tree service. I was surprised with how fast and efficient they were able to get the job done. They came equipped with the right size truck to haul off remaining tree branches. They left my yard looking clean & tidy.

I have used other tree services in the past, but Cal State Tree Service is by far the absolute best! A few months ago I contacted them about removing a huge pine tree from my back yard. Jesse answered right away, came to my house and gave me a great price to do the job. Communication with him was great from start to finish. The crew was so amazing! They were punctual, professional, courteous, and so knowledgeable. Truly outstanding customer service! If you are looking for the very BEST tree service in the valley, Cal State is it!

I live in Frazier Park and called for brush removal and large pine tree removal. Jesse/Alex/Jaime and the crew are FANTASTIC! Did a fantastic job .I had eight trees and stumps removed at a very good price and very professional job done. On December 15,2023 I reused Cal State Tree Service to remove two trees. Again they were very professional, great employees and great value for what they did.

Great company to work with. Showed up on time, gave a very reasonable quote and did more then expected! Offered great advice and removed 3 bushes for free!
