Paving Contractor reviews in Berkeley, California

Johnny and his team were amazing! We shopped around for hardscaping and he was the most affordable choice for placing pavers in our yard. His work went WAY beyond this though. Johnny was a fantastic consultant, helping us make decisions as we designed our backyard and helped us add touches like posts for lights and set us up for our irrigation system. We cannot recommend Smartscaping enough!
Here are some before and after photos.

We are so happy to have found Johnny and his crew! He turned our tiny old dirty backyard into something beautiful! He worked closely with all of our design ideas every step of the way. Pivots we’re needed like with any project but Johnny was really easy to communicate with to make those changes and adjustments. Thanks for helping create our dream backyard!

This is a solid small company that does very high quality work. Showed up on time and got a large paver job done- front and back yards in less than 7 days. Johnny is busy but he takes his work Seriously. Would def use him again. The high ratings are really deserved. Pricing is good.

Smartscaping exceed my expectations for sure!! They were able to make a seamless transition from my previous concrete install. Jonny was creative and able to work through my grading issue without adding steps everywhere which the other companies were suggesting. His crew was quick and left everything very clean. I am very pleased and will use Smartcaping again for my front yard!!

Johnny and his team completed our landscaping project on time, on budget, and without any drama. The project was to install drainage and pavers around the structure, a courtyard, and a pathway to the sidewalk. It also included installing new irrigation and planting several plants, and pathway lights. As you can imagine, aside from what was known about the project, there were unexpected situations too. Johnny and his team calmly and competently managed them all. My neighbors told me how considerate the crew was and they thanked me!

Smartscaping led by Johnny de Silva did a gorgeous job for our natural stone backyard patio! We are so impressed with Johnny and his crew and their attention to detail. The cuts and curves of our project are beyond compare and we witnessed the artistry and craftsmanship of the crew as they together selected the perfect stone in color and shape for each spot.

We are truly WOWED!! And all at a reasonable price! Thank you Johnny!

Had a great experience with Smartscaping for a backyard patio project. The price was reasonable, and they did the entire job very quickly (2 days from start to finish) and with a short timeline (just about a week). Johnny is a great communicator and the project was a great success overall. We are delighted with the work. Before and after photos appended.

Johnny and his crew installed corten steel edging around our sidewalk garden. It looks really good, was reasonably price, and they were responsive to feedback during the installation. It came out exactly as I envisioned it. I'd definitely recommend for your landscaping needs.
