Man at the door to my home asked me to come outside saying he was with LADWP. After a long talk about my LADWP bill I realize he’s trying to sell me solar panels and is from sunrun. Super creepy and invasive scammer tactic. Scary and made me feel unsafe in my home.

Clayton was fantastic, however, Sunrun, that you won’t do ballast installations is just unacceptable. Here is a no-brainer concept: My complex has over 750 units all with TPO roofs. Imagine what your stock would do if you did ballast installations. You could get hundreds of new clients all who want solar but can’t because of the roof we have.

I think you should re-evaluate your policies and get yourself a ballast contractor on your staff. SoCal has plenty of sun and we want to drop our power bills. Please feel free to reach out.

James, the sales manager, took the best care of us from start to finish. He even came by on the day of installation to ensure everything was running according to plan (which it was). Everyone at sunrun from the sales team to the engineer to the installers were wonderful. The installers all made friends with our dog, too!

Sunrun is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. My father signed a contract with him and then got cancer and died. They won't let me out of the contract. Every other contract he had signed or business he was involved with was understanding, but not this one. They’ve made it clear that he really should have thought about his solar contract before unexpectedly dying. Dealing with them has been absolute garbage since the day I took over. And now they're insisting I either pay them $5000 to end his contract or sign a contract with them. I don't want to sign anything with such a vile, awful company. Ive been on the phone with them for 20 minutes this morning trying to figure out why I got a letter saying I'm 0 days past due on a $0 payment so they're shutting off the service and I have to pay out the rest of the contract now.

And the best part is, my electric bill is still super high!

I seriously cannot stress enough how terrible this company is.

I decided to go solar to save money. Overall the process was good, just difficult with work my schedule to be here for various home visits. Sunrun’s communication is good, it helps if you can be flexible with your time throughout the process. People can definitely benefit by saving extra money. I was initially concerned about my roof, but the installation went well and there were no issues.

Disclaimer: I have not purchased from SunRun. I have not tried their product. I have only met with their sales consultant. My review only factors my experience meeting with their sales consultant.

I thought the sales Consultant, Faith, was great! Faith was really well spoken, really great with communication, and understanding of the solar panel space and pricing.

The work was done on time. They were professional and explained to me whole the process of installing the panels and how long it was going to take. I deeply recommend Faith Woodruff as your contact. She makes sure everything is going according to procedure and it’s on time. She checks on you to see if you’re satisfied or if they are any concerns well after the project is done. 5 start to Faith! As I’m writing this review I don’t have photos of the panels. They are something I wouldn’t photograph since they are just solar panels.

Sunrun has been great from the beginning to our installation! Our salesperson, Clayton, was amazing. His communication was outstanding and he walked us through the process every step of the way. I highly recommend Sunrun and if you choose to go to Solar I would contact Clayton!

The entire process was a positive experience starting with Faith the sales rep who helped us. And I would give a 10 out of 10 to the team that came to install the solar panels arriving on time being professional and when the process was completed he walked me thru what was completed from the batteries to the shut off switch to who was coming to inspect and who to contact in case we needed help. Very happy with the installation

We had the pleasure of working with Phillip W. In what I turned out to be a very difficult and lengthy process, none of which had to do with our solar installation. We had to do our roof then gutters and also a panel upgrade before we were able to complete the solar installation. Sunrun provided sub contractors who handled their respective jobs but I needed support with so many questions and Phillip ALWAYS responded and “brokered” any issues we had resulting in positive outcomes every time. I can’t thank Phillip enough for helping us every step of the way. He sets the bar for customer service.

I've heard horror stories about solar companies. I even had my doubts about Sunrun but after getting quotes from a few other solar companies I decided to contact Sunrun via Costco. I will say that they exceeded my expectations. There's nothing hidden between the lines. Compile a list of questions and they'll answer them all. It was a relief to know that they handled all the permits with the city and the utility company. My experience overall from Day 1 has been awesome. I highly recommend.

I had Clayton and James come in for a consultation about getting Solar Panels on my house and they both were great in answering all my questions and providing me with the basics and details about Solar systems. They were very welcoming to questions and answered all of them with no hesitations no matter how many I asked. They were very kind and a pleasure to work with! Definitely would recommend their service and Sunrun to my family and friends.

My Mom & I were approached by a friendly but pushy salesperson at a Home Depot. We weren't interested until she mentioned that Sunrun might be able to help find lower prices for the roof replacement that was needed. We made an appointment for the following day. After researching Sunrun and noticing the number of BBB complaints were lodged against it (5k+ over the last 3yrs?!) I called to cancel my appointment.

The rep began by telling me it was a bit late to cancel (it was 1:05 and my appointment was at 2p). He asked me for the reason for cancelling and I told him about the volume of BBB complaints. He started arguing about 'not believing everything on the Internet' and trying to convince me they were the only option. When I insisted on cancelling he just hung up.

Horrible customer service before I even begin? Stay away from this company.

My family and I have been very happy with Sunrun thus far. Our salesperson Phillip has truly been amazing! He has done an excellent job communicating with us and guiding us every step of the way. Whenever I had questions or needed clarifications he responded quickly and nonetheless we truly appreciate his work ethic. My family and I would recommend sunrun and I would recommend anyone to Phillip!

We went solar to make the bills lower. To save money. We chose to go with Sunrun because of the partnership with Costco and because the representatives were professional, honest and trustworthy. We felt they had a good process, they were serious, and good communication. The best part of it was our rep, Faith. The way she explained the process was clear and easy to understand. When we had an issue, Faith worked to make a resolution and kept us informed through each step of the way. Sunrun did a good job working through the process and steps with the city and fire department. It’s a process that takes time, but they were on top of it. A major bonus was getting an electrical panel upgrade for free! We would 100% recommend Sunrun and Faith to anyone!

We had an outstanding experience with Sunrun, largely thanks to Philip Weston. Philip, our dedicated salesperson, truly went above and beyond to make everything happen for us. His expertise and commitment were evident as he helped us upgrade our power panel and secured additional panels to meet our energy needs. Worst mistake ever! Its's been nothing but a headache with Sunrun. It sounded great at first. They came to do the inspection (total mess). Panels were installed and once everything was turned on, that's where the trouble began. Lights started flickering, clicking noises which at night wouldn't let us sleep. We had Sunrun come out 3 times. Finally we were told by the last tech that the power from our electrical panel didn't produce enough energy that the solar panels needed. Attempted to contact the sales rep...nothing. Sunrun has not done anything to help us. A nightmare. Would not recommend.

So far is very good especially with my rep his name is Phillip Weston he following up my issues with the roof. He will do everything to help customers satisfy with the roofing company. Most all the Sanrun crews are good working and good system but not with the roofing company (Sierra roofing Inc. the sub contractor) so watch out dealing with the roofing company most of their employees are not speaking good English and you cannot go up and check on the roof. The roof took 3 weeks the solar took 3days

24 panels, 2 batteries setup - 1 day and half.

It’s scary when thinking about making a 25 year commitment, and not knowing all the facts and ins and outs at first. My service rep Tahirih, great at following up came over and stood as long as it took (5 hours) to answer all my questions and to fully inform me, even reaching out to her boss that day James several times to help elaborate on details. James was very supportive of his rep and I had a good feeling about this team which helped me solidify my decision.
Before the installation team came out Shane reached out to keep me posted on a review of what was being done, and alerts when the team would be out.
The equipment drop off guy came early in the morning before the install team.
The install team came out led by Jordan, about 4 guys. Jordan walked me through what they planned on getting done and how they were going to go about it, asked about my preference on a few things and let me know before hand it might take a second day to get this size system done.
They worked steadily and Jordan came to consult with me when he ran into something that had to be a bit modify from what we spoken to before hand. They did take a half of second day, after the work was done Jordan showed me the new system and help me get set up on the Tesla app. Answered all my questions before his team headed out. They left the area clean they way they got it.
James manager had reached out to see how the overall team performed and how was I satisfied. I let him know everything in this post and I was really glad I had gone with Sunrun the experience was a good one.
Now just waiting on my inspector from the city and electric company before turning on to enjoy a lower bill.
Good communication, common courtesy, being able to answer the technical stuff, being friendly, watching how they worked as a team. They have a winning formula and process.
