Beware of this company, Especial for “Roofing” they are doing the job not correctly then you on your own, they get the permit of my house on a difference roofing company’s License C-39 and Efficient Construction only have General contract License, something is very wrong here! And the Roofer Carlos had been told me he is employee of efficient Construction. I have to hire a difference Roofing company to finish what they "screw up" and send them the bill, they fail to respond to me on my demand letter for the amount of money I spend to fix they screw up I and up to complaint to “California State License Board” and file a small claim to recoup my loss!
Following is conversation of C-39 Contractor & Owen Corning Sale Rep & myself:
Hey, Rolando, how you doing? It's Johnny What? Johnny, with Roof Bro. Oh, hey. Hey, come here. How you doing? I'm good, I'm good. Hey, I have a question. Um, I'm over here with a client. Uh, he just had it roof install on a couple of weeks ago. They installed the Owens Corning system and uh, but, uh, I'm trying to explain to him that, uh, like the way they did it, they have the soffits for intake. But they installed a rich fan and they installed O'Higgins and then they installed a solar fan. Okay. So, what happens to the warranty when you have all those 3 systems for exhaust? Are they all for exhaust? Yeah, they're all for exhaust. There’re enough soffits for intake, but the exhaust is belonged to me originally. Yeah, that's okay. Yeah. Yeah, so if there's ever, um, anything with the shingle or any pollen with the shingle and it's due to ventilation, then that is where the warranty might be avoided. I'm not saying it is, but it might be voided. So, when you have different exhaust systems, it could complicate the ventilation system in the attic, because you would, so you're supposed to have only one intake and one exhaust. So, uh, or one type of intake which you do at the soffits, and then one type of exhaust, which you have, uh, three. at this point. So, what you would, what you could do is cancel some of them out and the exhaust? Uh, and then you should be able to have a proper airflow in the attic space. Okay. All right. Well, which one should I cancel without? It all depends on what you want. You could cancel out the solar attic van. You could, um, cancel out the O’Hagan, um, or you, that's how it's original. So, it all depends on kind of how you want to proceed. Can I have two? Can I can I have exhaust and uh... You could, you could have the attic fan and then one type of exhaust. The only situation that could occur is that when it rains or where there when there's moisture in the air, heavy moisture in the air, the attic fan could suck in some of that moisture. Um, because of uh, Because of the because of because of there being another exhaust system. nearby. So, it could suck in some of that moisture. So, you do want to be weary of that. So, and that's in times when it's about some rain or when it's raining, just make sure that the attic fan. does not turn on. They sell it so long. It's a solar. It's a solar. Yes, yes, yes. So, you just want to be cognizant of that, but at this point, just, you know, exit out, exit one of the exhaust vents out, whether that's the ridge vet or the Hagan. And you'll definitely have proper airflow at that point. So, if I, if I, if I take the O’Hagan now, that should be fine, right? Yes, yes, absolutely. Because right now, I still have the exhaust, uh, solar exhaust, and uh, Vent, and uh, Bridge vent. So, he's got the Bridge vent. The Bridge vent, Yeah, but the solar fan is like almost, it's really close to that Richmond. So that's going to trap some moisture, right? It's going to suck in some of the moisture. Yeah. Yes, that's correct. Okay. Okay. All right. So, it all depends on how you want to do it. You could cancel out the O'Hagan vents if you want to by putting a piece of ice and water inside the attic, or you could take out the whole thing and put shingles over it. So, it all depends how you want to process. -
Efficient Construction is very efficient! They had exactly what I was looking for in quality, work ethic, and fair pricing. Mike Kim and Beto kept me updated the entire time, were always available, and stopped by during the job frequently. Mike did not break any promises. All the crew members showed professionalism and were very clean. I was also worried about the rain, but they made sure things went great.

We had a fantastic experience working with Mike in our roof and window purchase in East Whittier. This was a big investment for us, and Mike really took the time to walk us through payment options that fit our personal needs. Everything he promised was delivered, the installation was smooth, and the workmanship was excellent. Customer service went above and beyond—highly recommend Mike if you’re looking for someone who truly cares and follows through.

Edward is the most responsable person we have ever worked with. He is super attentive, clean and does at amazing job. We did a couple of jobs around our house and we cannot emphasizes how satisfied we are with his company!
-
Edward "Leo" Menchu and his team did an excellent and professional job in replacing and installing laminate floors due to a massive leak toilet in the bathroom at one of my parent's rental property in Bellflower. They also removed clogged and leaking old cast iron waste water pipes and replaced it with newer PVC alternative which are cost effective and sanitary. Throughout the whole process they are always on time, efficient, organized and trustworthy. Leo was always available at the job site to answer questions or to help and direct his team if needed. He also gives honest and reasonable quotes for any construction jobs big or small. Without hesitation and undoubtedly we recommend Menchu's construction to the fullest 100% !!!

We have known Leo for over 20 years! Every job he has done or supervised has been an excellent experience! He has the skills and knowledge about everything from minor repairs to carpentry, plumbing, electricity, roofing, concrete removal and replacement... What we appreciate the most about Leo is his professionalism and his warm & friendly personality. Our family members are very pleased with the work that Leo's done at their properties as well. Thank you, Leo!

Menchu's Construction did an excellent job on the repairs and updates for my Los Angeles rental property. I do not live locally, so I needed someone who I could count on to coordinate and manage the entire process. Leo and I had good communications and the work was completed quickly. As always, unexpected stuff came up. Leo showed me what he found, and offered cost effective solutions that kept the project on track. His crew's work solved my most pressing issues and more than met my expectations. I look forward to working with Edward again.

Leo was recommended to us when we decided to remodel my husband's family home to rent out. The house had a lot of problems, including a persistent leak that previous contractors were unable to fix. Leo isolated that leak and made the repairs necessary to eliminate it. He works with professional subcontractors whose work is top notch. You get what you pay for and with Leo you get high quality work completed on a timely basis. He did such great work that we hired him to remodel a second and third house. Each time, his work was excellent and he was always on time. We highly recommend Leo for any project you may have. He is worth every penny!

Edward was wonderful. Menchu's Construction is a GSD (Get Stuff Done) operation. Projects always come with unknowns. This was clearly the case working on our kitchen project. Edward and his crew quickly came up with solution for each challenge. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.
