From the very beginning, Leo worked with us in developing the finer points of our project scope to insure our satisfaction in "project complete"!
His expertise in coordinating all the trade crews (plumbing, water, gas and drainage; carpentry, structural, interior dry wall; even electrical work), permitting and knowledge of current code requirements made for really smooth inspections with no hiccups!
He helped us so much in selecting and procuring our new kitchen and laundry appliances, bathroom tile and kitchen counter tops; even helping with paint color selection.

And particularly for help in selection of our new tankless hot water heater.

Our experience with Menchu Construction was 2 years ago but when Leo asked if I could write a review for him now, I did not hesitate! In 2023, Menchu Construction completed a number of renovations for our house. (I have included some before and after photos.) Firstly, we wanted to beautify our front porch and add in safety handrails for the front steps. Leo cut and framed every piece by hand and used solid wood and metal materials. He also tiled the porch flooring and steps and really brought my vision to life. I think the results are stunning! Second, we had water damage in one of our bedroom walls and window. So, the whole window had to be removed, framing redone and re-installed with new drywall. The results not only looked perfect, but it IS perfect. Lastly, we had to redo a leaky roof and patch up the water damage in the ceiling of another bedroom. From the photos, you can see the seamless and high quality work that was done. It was been 2 years since these renovations and the results have held up 100%. The window still slides open and closed easily. There has been no rain leaking into our house at all. Additionally, Leo was courteous and conscientious throughout the construction work. I would recommend Menchu Construction to anyone, friend or stranger!

My husband and I bought our Hermosa Beach townhome in summer 2023. Over the past year, Edward Menchu was invaluable to recreating the space and making the overall renovation a success. Edward easily added the ceiling beam to my living room, built a custom shelf with storage, and turned a drab counter into a cute dry bar. He also installed difficult light fixtures and replaced my old fireplace with a slab of quartz, gas logs and mantle. Overall, we could not be more happy! Edward was always on time, professional and cost effective. He is a family man and cares greatly about his clients! We consider him a dear friend and will use him for future work.

The company's disregard for its own policies is frustrating. The employees seem to prioritize convenience over protocol, choosing to park in the main lot where customers also wait, forcing those of us paying their wages to cover more distance on foot.

We got great service from this place. Eric was super knowledgeable about all the different flooring options, and he helped us pick out what would work best for our needs. The warranty is good, and it looks like it'll last a long time. They also provided decent tools to help us install it ourselves. We're doing it on our own now, but Eric's guidance was really helpful. Overall, we're happy with the purchase and the advice we got from the staff at this location.

I'm extremely let down with my experience at Cerritos Home Depot. It seems like most people have had similarly frustrating interactions with this store. I visited Cerritos Home Depot and was assisted by Frank, who was knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. He provided an estimate for Milgard windows and scheduled someone to take measurements and confirm the price of installation. The person who came to measure me up showed up on time, but that's where good service ended.

I was told that they only install Simonton windows, not Milgard as I was quoted at the store. Unfortunately, he didn't seem familiar with Milgard windows and was even dismissive of them. He claimed Simonton is their best seller, but when I looked up Simonton windows online, customer reviews showed a rating of 1.5 stars. When I asked questions about how they would install the windows, I never got clear answers - just "trust us, we'll do a quality job." The price quote was for Simonton windows with installation, but he refused to break down costs after I asked multiple times.

After numerous requests, he eventually told me he had to leave. I spoke to Frank at Cerritos Home Depot again, who said that was incorrect and promised the supervisor Brian would call me. It's been two days and I haven't even received a courtesy call. Given all the negative reviews for Home Depot installation services, it seems like there's a significant gap between the window specialist in-store and the actual installers.

It would be surprising if Home Depot management hadn't noticed this issue by now, but maybe that's just naive thinking on my part.

They sold me a lovely flower pot and matching plant that fits perfectly in my home - a great combo. Highly recommend Home Depot!
