What Clovis customers say about local pros
-
Absolutely fantastic service by the technicians that came to my home, Todd and Miguel. These gentlemen were through, efficient, and educated. The carpet came out looking wonderful, I have 3 kids, a dog and a cat, the carpets were dirty! I was a carpet technician for 17 years, and they followed all the correct steps in care. Pre vacuuming, corner guards for the walls, pre spray for the traffic lanes and moving their hoses as to not bang or rub on anything. Seriously professional! I checked out the equipment in the van. Clean!!!! Well kept! Not a mess! Or leaks! Reasonable rates, almost 900 sqft cleaned for $325 is a deal! Thank you Sterling Carpet cleaners!

Ian was amazing on both accounts of having him here to fix our spa heater and our booster pump. Highly professional with great customer service. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great pool company.

I live in Oakdale and had to use this company in regards to a home warranty claim. Ian came out originally 7 months ago (he claims) for a check valve that malfunctioned that He installed as a new part 7 months ago. After filing another claim he arrived again today for another repair. While removing the cover of the valve he said the screws were loose and either vibrations or dirty filters were the cause and that he's seen it before. He cleaned the top of the valve, silicone it and gave me instructions what to do in three hours after silicone dried. That was too "turn the pump on if I still saw a leak to turn the pump off. Where I still see water leaking, turn the screws 1/4 to 1/2 turn until the leak stops". This sent up a red flag for me as I never heard a technician asking the customer to go back over their work. I didn't worry about it at this time.. Three hours later I turned the pump on and the part immediately started leaking worse than it had before so I turned the pump off and video taped the rest of his instructions I realized after attempting to turn the first screw that it was stripped, I tried the second screw and that one was stripped as well.. After explaining what I was doing on the video for a few minutes I sent Ian a message requesting he call me back ASAP.. When he called before getting into the problem I asked for his supervisor name which he says he's the supervisor. Then I asked for the CEO name and again he states he's partially the CEO and he would have to be the guy I deal with..I realized I wasn't going to get any numbers or names from him and with three previous call attempts that were not returned I explained to him what was going on..I explained that the screws were stripped. Ian imminently claimed a manufacturer defect. He would get that covered but there would be out of pocket costs. (Later I found out those cost were 200 dollars.) That's when I flipped out and told him it was either stripped today upon the repair or during the initial install.. His response was how did he know if it wasn't me that stripped it. I said well you can watch it on the video I recorded showing what I did...He then got defensive and said I was stating his company or him was to blame. I explained his company was the only ones to have their hands on it.. and if it was a defect why didn't he figure that out the first or second time. I've never heard any service person say please check my work and attempt to repair after me if it doesn't work.. Instead of saying if it still leaks please contact us and I will come out and look at it... Unless you are attempting to have a argument for you stripping the bolts. Not realizing I would record my self... Now I'm being contacted stating I have to pay 200 dollars out of pocket to get the repair done right.. Or else... Don't use this company, dont use this guy. I was not disfespectfult to Ian, I just stood up for myself as a home owner and this guy got very defensive... The ones with stuff to hide always do... Update Update...27June "Ian" claimed repair of his mess up could not be done without redirection of pipes and out of pocket costs at least 200 dollars. I had another company that did in fact fix it without moving pipes or any out of pocket costs. That leaves to possible conclusions for Ian and Aqua Brite. Either Ian lacks the knowledge and abilities to do this job and in that end up costs customers extra money they shouldn't have to pay or he and his company are crooks trying to charge the customer to get money lost by low balling the bids for the job.. either way it is all bad.. Don't use these guys our let Ian touch your equipment, it might save you some stress and hard earned money...

This contractor is one for America home warranty. Guillermo is a technician came out to check my pool pump. Without even checking it said it was burn out because we left it running without water in the pool. He recommended we get a pool leak detection technician to check out the pool. I don't understand the reason behind this request if we don't see any signs of leaks to validate his recommendations. Stay away from this company. I had to give them 1 start to post my comment. They are negative 3 stars in my book.

Zachary was great and timely with providing me information for my service needs. He even provided me information on different avenues I could take. There was no pressure to get services I didn't need for options I wanted to exercise. I appreciate his honesty and for that it helps build trust with not only Aqua Brite but also with the home warranty company.

I’ve been with my home warranty for 5 years. After assigning Aqua Brite to a service call, 3 months later service was never completed. My expensive pool motor was stolen and replaced with a cheap refurbished one. Neither me or the home warranty company could get a hold of anyone to return the original motor. Home warranty wouldn’t assign a different company so I canceled my contract.

They came out under warranty (like the guy above, even if they don't do the work they still have to charge the service fee. That was actually his warranty service fee). However, they replaced my motor with a used one and told me I needed to pay an additional $250 for the rerouting of plumbing for the new(used) pump because my current plumbing wouldn't work with the new pump. The first day the guy came out, he showed up late and didn't have anything with him to rerout the plumbing so he had to reschedule again! So I rescheduled, and now the piping that they installed is leaking and my pump is losing pressure so all the water drains out and I can't run my pump. Been trying to get them back out here all week and it's been a run around. First American Home Warranty is a joke (on a completely different bad review), and this company Aqua Brite Pools is probably the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with.

5/2023 My pool pump died and my home warranty company (FAHW) sent Aqua Brite from Fresno to Sacramento to replace the pump. Aqua Brite told FAHW that they needed to modify my water line, so I spoke with my pool builder and they said that there shouldn't need to be any modifications to my water line to replace the pool pump and suggested I get a full breakdown of what they plan to do. So even though I left several messages asking for a full breakdown and stating that I needed to know what they plan to do before I could sign off on it. I have yet to hear back from them. It was over 3 weeks ago that I found out about the mods that they stated needed to be done, and over a month ago that my pump has been down. Again, I still have not heard from them. DO NOT USE THEM!! 6/2023 So here's an update to this review. FAHW finally approved another pool company (AV Hawaiian) to come out and take a look at my pump. They came to the same conclusion about the pump needing to be replaced, but said no modifications were necessary. They replaced it with a new pump the same brand (Pentair) and model that I had before. He said it was a very simple replacement simple unhook the old pump and hook up the new pump. So bottom line...Aqua Brite was trying to screw me royally. They said my pump would be replaced with a refurbished pump and it would not be the same brand. With AV Hawaiian, I got the exact quality that I had before, with a brand new Pentair pump and no additional cost. Aqua Brite, you are unethical and I will make sure all of my pool owning friends know better than to call you!

I placed a claim with my home warranty in February to have my pool leak repaired. Aquabrite sent someone in early March with no tools to “just check it out”. That was the last time I heard or spoke to anyone. I called, I texted and nothing. I finally placed an additional claim with my warranty company because the job was still not done. They finally gave me an appt from 8-12 on April 12. Then the technician called me to tell me it would be later in the day before he could get to me. Guaranteed he would not have had what he needed to fix my pool because he didn’t know what was wrong. My time is valuable and this company provides subpar customer service. My advice would be to find another pool repair company.
