What locals say about Landscaping in Clovis

First, the staff is extremely nice. I really wanted to love this nursery because of their staff and convenient location, but, the plant I buy from this nursery don't seem to last. I have even purchased ones that were recommended and they don't make it. I'm not an expert, but I do garden and have alot of indoor and outdoor plants. The first few plants I purchased from them almost a year ago I thought may have died because I did something wrong. I purchased 18 plants last time I visited. About a month later 4 are doing well, 3 are trying to hold on, and the rest are dead. All were in containers and I used soil I purchased from the this nursery. I prefer to purchase plants from nurses because they often do better, but not these. That's over $100 down the drain.

Great place! By far the nicest nursery I've been to throughout California. I stopped to get my mom a crepe myrtle tree and ended up getting 2 because they were so beautiful and healthy I couldn't just get one! All the plants are healthy and well kept! The staff are amazingly helpful if you have any questions, i definitely reccomend stopping here, I know I'll be back for sure!🌾🌿🌹🌻

I have come to this nursery a few times and I want to love it but the owner and employees are not friendly at all. No one greets you and no one asks if you need help. When you go up to the register there is no customer service and the nonverbal cues are condescending. I’ve recently fallen in love with caring for plants and you’d think the owner of a plant shop would make some effort of connection with his customers who share the same passion. I don’t like to write bad reviews but customer service is a big part of owning a business and I only hope this offers a learning experience.

I recently discovered this place and their amazing house plant selection! Great looking, healthy plants and all the staff I've spoken to there was very friendly and helpful. The owner sounds like he tries very hard to please his plant loving clientele, by going out of his way to seek rare varieties and bring them to us! I will definitely continue to shop here for all of my plants!

I have spent a lot of time (and money) at many of the nurseries in Central CA. This nursery has, by far, the best staff I have ever encountered. They are very smart, and many have their own specializations for different types of plants. They are very nice and seem to enjoy working there. I like that I hear them debating politics, philosophy and sociology with each other while they are working. And there is one worker that makes the whole experience better by his infectious laugh that reverberates throughout the whole grounds. I already have a great job and don't need the money but when I retire I want to go work there. It just seems like a great place to be. I have bought thousands of dollars of plants there over the last few years. The real deal is the annual sale. But I also buy throughout the year, because prices are fair. The prices are not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive, and they are usually a large size for the price, so I feel like I'm getting a good value. Aside from a few disounted / distressed plants that I didn't do enough to save, I've never had a plant die on me. I have gotten smarter, so now I only buy drought tolerant plants in good shape, and that helps a lot. Their selection is excellent. They have a nice selection of bushes and trees that will work in this climate. They have a cactus section that beats every other nursery in the area. I am glad to have Evergreen Garden Center in our community. Thank you.

Very helpful staff! And...very knowledgeable. Prices good for the quality. And a wonderful assortment of plants to choose from.
