The kitchen is the heart of the home, so a kitchen remodel is like having open heart surgery. We discovered FCS Cabinets in Clovis, and they helped us with a very successful new heart in our home! Professional and yet personal, they guided us through the decision making process to a new kitchen that fits who we are! Their showroom is helpful with models you can see and put your hands on. They were always available if we wanted to drop by and talk about a question or a new idea. Through these visits and visits to our home, they were able to help us come up with the kitchen that suits us. Thank you Chad and Paul, we are so happy with how it all turned out!

Had 3 contractors bid on my work and decided to go with Fine Built. Would recommend them over and over. We faced multiple challenges with design throughout and I must say we (my wife) were very picky. Chad worked with us and we are so grateful for his work. Priced well and our kitchen looks unbelievable.

I ordered counter tops, granite special for $41/sq foot. Home Depot uses Duracite for the fabrication and install, the granite comes from Daltile here in Clovis. You go to the yard and are able to pick out your own slab. I liked that!
From order date to install it took about 4 weeks. I ordered on Feb 22, template date March 8th, I could have had it sooner but we wouldn't have had old tile ones removed in time, and install was tentatively scheduled for April 1st, which Duracite met. Once we had our templating done it was 3 weeks for fabrication.
Everything went perfectly, Duracite handled the install professionally and on time. This was something that had me really concerned they could deliver on. The reviews on Yelp were bad. I was very nervous until I looked at the location of the reviewers. They're mostly SO Cal! Southern CA Duracite is separate from the one up here. The one down there has bad reviews but up here they didn't. The one in our area is great!
If you're trying to decide wether it's a good idea to use home depot for your granite install, I can say with confidence they will do great! I had changes in my order, they issued refunds right away. I added a window sill to my order & I could have paid over the phone.
The special order lady Jessica is so nice and very efficient, and she's new! I'd have never known if someone hadn't told me. The lady who helps her is also amazing!
From order day to install I had no issues. Contacting Duracite, I always got a representative, Grace. She was clear, kind and answered any questions I had.
Install crew were Jamie (pronounced Hymay) & Fidel. One spoke English and was very nice, the other was the main laborer, did all the measuring and cutting, very nice but spoke little English. They got my 45sq ft of counter top done in about 4 hours. They were scheduled for 9am, got here at 9:10 & didn't stop until it was done well after 12:30. They modified one of my cabinets to accommodate my under mount Swanstone sink and made it look amazing! It almost didn't fit! Jamie relayed any questions or options to us in English and asked before any cuts for faucets were needed. He was good to make us aware of their recommendations but left the decisions up to us.
I think because they ran late the final touches were a little rushed. I'm sure they were starving. The caulk line around my sink had a spot that didn't get filled all the way in and they left some glue spots on the granite in numerous places. But honestly, it's not a deal breaker for me. They took their time getting the job done rt, last minute details that I can touch up myself are not a big deal. The glue scraped right up and the caulk around the sink can be fixed. If that stuff bothers you just be sure to look everything over really well and have them fix it before they leave. I do wish they'd not have cleaned everything up and taken all their stuff out before I looked it over. But I think we were ready for them to be done as much as they were!
I hope my experience will help you decide. I was so nervous to go with home depot. My dad, a general contractor on So Cal, told me not to. Being in the business down there he knows how bad they are! This is the first time not following dad's advice worked out for me! Lol! I'm so happy we went with the Depot! I love my new counter tops and I have a good experience to hang onto.
