Jake was awesome to work with. He kept us informed throughout the entire process. We added a 2 zone mini split to our garage and office above, and Jake designed, priced, and installed it within a week of my first call to him. The installation was carefully planned and looks clean and tidy. Overall we are very happy with the pricing and service we received, and would recommend Jake and Cantrell's AC to anyone.

It was a Monday afternoon our heater in our house stopped working. We called Cantrell's Heating & Air Conditioning. They replaced the compete HVAC system within 48 hours. Outstanding Service and very Professional!!!!!

Furnace quit working on a cold day in October. Called Jake, as we had used them before. He came out the next day. Unfortunately he had to change the control board in the furnace. As soon as the board was available. He came out and put it in. Even installed a new thermostat at no charge. The house gets warmer now than before. I would definitely recommend Cantrell for any of your heating and cooling needs. He explained why it cost what it did. As the furnace was a good one. Just expensive to repair. The control board was the main expense. Jake’s service price is very reasonable.

We had the best experience! We had a heater not working. They came out immediately, went above and beyond to make sure our guests were comfortable, quickly ordered and installed the needed parts, and repaired the unit before our next guests checked in. I didn’t price shop due to the quick turn around need but I felt the pricing was fair and will continue to call them for any future heating needs.

We experienced unacceptable and inconsistent communication from Jake of Cantrell’s during one of the coldest weeks of the year (and Christmas holiday week). For the first part of the week, our furnace heat output temperature would not raise above 65°, and after his visit, as tempertaures dropped outside, indoor temperatures dropped as low as 54°. We told him that cold air was blowing in continuously and the furnace would stop all day long. Jake came to our home and told us a specific part was needed and that he would order it. The last update we received—while nighttime temperatures were dropping into the 30s—was simply that the part had been ordered.
After that, there was nothing - for over a week and half. Time passed with no updates, no price quote for the part or installation, and no follow-up of any kind. We were left completely in the dark while living in freezing conditions. Two days ago, we finally called emergency service from ACE HVAC. They drove from Hesperia to Crestline at 8pm, diagnosed the issue, ordered the part the next day, and had it installed that next night. Meanwhile, Jake never even texted us back when we asked him what was happening with the part. Our texts were left on read.
Cantrell’s installed our furnace/HVAC system just four years ago, and as loyal customers, this level of service is unacceptable. For those of us living in the mountains, reliable HVAC service is not a luxury—it is a necessity. We have limited options due to our location, and companies that serve these areas should understand the responsibility that comes with that. Allowing customers—and their pets—to go without heat for over a week during sub-freezing nights shows a complete lack of urgency, accountability, and basic compassion.
We were left waiting with no answers, no transparency, and no courtesy during a situation that should have been treated as an emergency.

Jake was at my House in less than 20 minutes! He immediately Diagnosed my Issues, had all the Parts and in less than an hour had my Heater fixed AND installed a New Thermostat! All for under 250.00 Thank you Jake!

I totally went by great reviews regarding this company. The call back after leaving a message was very quick. Extremely pleased with the experience and knowledge Jake has. He found the root cause of the failure and had my heater furnace running immediately.

Updated my wall heater thermostat to a WiFi version. Jake came out and set that up easily and quickly. He also checked out my wall heater and cleaned it for me. Very professional and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Wow! Cantrell’s Heating and Air Conditioning did an excellent technical job evaluating the issues with my heating system ( there were many) and provided a dead on remedy plan. My existing system was sized and installed wrong. ( We just purchased the house, previous owners may have gone the super cheap route). The Navien system Cantrells installed works flawlessly. A lot of attention to detail was applied. The area they were working in was spotless when they left. All work was done on time and on budget.
