Sunlight repaired my 12-yr Enphase uInverter system after the original installer folded. Sunlight were fast and fair on their roll and labor costs and very good response time.

The crew turned up in their alloted hour. They were up on the roof straight away and isolated the problem within the hour. The tech gave me a clear explanation of the faulty components and the remedy. He had the components in his truck and replaced it their and then. My system was fully functional, and 24 panels producing full power.

Carlos, the crew lead, was very nice and clear on the problem.

Sunlight Solar is so amazing and I am satisfied with all processes and labors. The solar performance is also good.

Sunlight designed and installed our home system. They were the first to come out and examine the house for a detailed estimate, they answered a ton of questions, and they were prompt with responses throughout the process. They offered several different designs and didn't upsell.

Once we signed, it took far less time to install than competitors had quoted us.

An overall very good experience, and I'd recommend them to others.

Sunlight Electri-Cal installed our solar system quickly and according to plans we agreed to. Plan proposal and discussions convinced me of their expertise. Workmanship was excellent. Placement of solar cells demonstrated consideration of our house's position relative to the sun. Workers were polite, and disrupted or daily routines to the minimum extent possible. I heartily recommend Sunlight Electri-Cal.

After trying to deal with Tesla (they bought out the company that installed my system and were NO help at all) I turned to Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions. Carlos was great to work with and Issac and his crew did a great job of replacing bad panels with new ones. I'm glad I found these guys and couldn't be happier.

The answer to every question was thorough, the examples of their work were impressive, and their quote was solidly below all of the others. They run a tight ship, delivering what they promise when they promise it or ahead of time. They stay on top of things and follow up on every detail. They are quick, but in no way do they rush the work and the finished project is neat and clean. Also important, I feel confident that they will be there if a need arises. A few days ago, our aGate hit 'Fail-Safe' mode at midnight. I sent an email immediately, and I was blown away when they called me at 8:00 AM the very next morning. By noon, a technician was at our door. He spent an hour diagnosing the issue, drove to pick up a replacement part, and had everything back online shortly after. To go from a midnight system failure to a full repair by the following afternoon is incredible. Highly recommend them for their reliability and lightning-fast communication!

Following the California Solar Consumer Protection Guide, we vetted five different companies. Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions (SECS) immediately stood out. While three other competitors demanded a signed contract before even visiting our home, SECS was one of only two that performed in-person measurements first.

What truly set them apart was their co-owner, Juan. He met with us personally to discuss design options and warranties. He took the time to explain the technical 'why' behind their choices—specifically why micro-inverters outperform single-string inverters in terms of heat stress and reliability. This level of transparency earned our trust.

Our system has been live for a few weeks, and the results are stellar:

Performance: We are currently covering 97% of our electricity usage.

Reliability: The battery system has already saved us during a PG&E power outage.

Efficiency: The installation was completed in just two days, and they passed city inspections on the first try.

From handling the PTO (Permission to Operate) paperwork to their lightning-fast communication, SECS has been professional at every turn. If you want a team that values education over high-pressure sales, look no further.

Best customer service and definitely the company you want to install your solar panels or at least get advice on what to do. The other companies that I contacted just sent me a form to fill out and did not take the time to call me personally to see what my unique situation is. I have a $1700 true-up charge this year compared to the $250 true-up charge from last year. So after talking to PG&E they recommended that I install more solar. After talking to Juan from Sunlight for some time we came to the conclusion that my renter's EV plugged in to my home was using a lot of electricity and my panels were not sufficient for the extra load. Juan recommended that I clean my solar panels twice a year and have my renters charge their EV elsewhere until I'm financially ready to upgrade. He did recommend a whole house battery but that is beyond my budget. He did not try to sell me things I did not need and he was very transparent about his knowledge and his recommendations for me which I appreciate and you will too!

It was a true pleasure working with the team at Sunlight Electri-Cal. Their work is high quality and they delivery according to the schedule. They are also excellent at communicating and answering questions. I would recomend them to anyone looking at a new or existing solar project.

Really, a different level company. We had a one year project with many ins and outs. Juan (co-owner) is one of the most responsive and transparent contractors I’ve ever worked with. Beautiful craftsmanship in their work - advice, electrical, panels, solar install roof work - with bonded, licensed workers. I’d use Sunlight again for any service they offer.

Juan is extremely helpful and responsive. I had my solar system installed early January 2024 and had a couple of power grid related issues. Juan was there not only to there for the deal/initial sell but also helping solve maintenance issues with the same attentiveness and support 5 months after the system was up and running. I would highly recommend them since his team handles the warranty and the install. We found other quotes initially that were less but I would definitely recommend going with these guys. They are worth it!

We reached out Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions regarding solar solution to our high PG&E bill. Juan was responsive and quickly arranged a meeting to discuss our needs. Juan was awesome at answering our questions and concerns. One of the requirement is that we wanted new tech and move away from Tesla battery etc. Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions has alternative solutions to the equipment. The team at Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions took care all of the details and had the installation done quickly and efficiently. The work was excellent and we are very happy with the outcome.

Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions absolutely deserves the praise. I found them while researching solar installers certified to work with Powerwall 3 systems.

I reached out through their website in late July last year and got a reply within 24 hours. That level of responsiveness continued through the entire process. Alessandro was my initial contact -- very professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Even though I was still shopping around (including talking to Tesla and another local solar company), Sunlight gave me the best price and fastest timeline. No sales pressure, just honest communication.

Originally, I just wanted two Powerwalls added to my existing solar setup, but eventually decided to include a SPAN smart panel as well. They recommended only installing one battery but to me that wouldn't have been cost effective if later on down the line I were to add a second battery. (Looking at it now, I could have probably added a 3rd battery for the amount of storage that would generate this Summer). Their pricing remained competitive even with the upgrade, and they were very transparent when it came to costs and tradeoffs. Alessandro handled a lot of the coordination through text and email, which made things super convenient. He was available late in the evening and even some weekends.

Carlos, who leads operations, came for a second check and planned out the installation in detail -- including how to meet the city's strict code requiring a heat sensor tied to a smoke alarm near the batteries. His clever routing minimized wall damage and kept everything tidy. The full installation was completed in about 6 weeks, including city inspection. PG&E's approval was the only bottleneck, but even during that waiting period, Carlos stayed in touch with weekly updates.

Installation was handled by Isaac and his team, and they did a fantastic job -- clean wiring, attention to detail, and they even impressed the city inspector with some above-and-beyond touches like the dual outdoor shut-off boxes. True craftsmanship.

Even more impressive was the post-install support. A few weeks later, after a SPAN firmware update caused communication issues with the Powerwalls, Carlos worked directly with SPAN customer service behind the scenes to resolve the problem. It took some time, but he stayed on top of it and only looped me in when absolutely necessary. That kind of follow-through is rare.

I also had them replace my NEMA plug with a Tesla Wall Connector later on. There was a mix-up with the unit (a non-Tesla version was initially installed), but Carlos made it right immediately -- issued a refund and sent Isaac back out quickly to swap it, no delay, no excuses.

What really sets Sunlight Electri-Cal apart is how they treat you after the job is done. They don't disappear once the check clears. Their communication is fast, clear, and consistent. It truly feels like they treat you like a long-term customer -- not just a job ticket.

I've dealt with other companies that go dark once the work is done -- where getting a reply is like pulling teeth. Not here. These guys operate like a small, tight-knit team that cares about doing right by their customers.

I have panel+battery installed from Juan and other guys there for about three months and I am very happy about it. Three things I really like about them: 1. Juan gave very genuine prices at the beginning. Most of the sales people I inquired gave me a very high price first, only until they realized I know what the real cost should be, then they started to lower the price. 2. The total time from signing to finish installation is very short. 3. Even after everything is finished and all payments were made, I had a small issue and they responded very fast and resolved everything next day. Overall I'm very happy with them and I would definitely recommend them.
