My husband and I went with Sunlight Solar because we had done our research with about 6 other companies and even made a spreadsheet with the comparisons. Sunlight had a very professional portfolio and mock ups, the turn around time for the job was very fast and they got us the best pricing for interest rates. Overall super happy and not only we used them but my parents as well. Talk with James he is super professional and still checks in with us from time to time.

Ramon Brizo is a rock star!! He is very knowledgeable but what really impressed me is his dedication to give his absolute best in the situation. I was traveling abroad and had a problem with my existing installation done by another company. Ramon stayed with me on the phone for hours and went step by step until my system was back up and running. I can't say enough and I'm very grateful to Sunlight Solar for their great customer centric service. This level of customer orientation is rare nowadays and I will never use any other solar company again. I get that its down to the individual but its also up to the company to foster the right environment for their employees to excel in their craft. Well done, Ramon and Sunlight Solar!

The whole process was very seamless! The representative came to my house and was incredibly helpful identifying ways to provide enough wattage to meet my family's needs. While it took my HOA awhile to provide approval, and SDGE took awhile to provide authorization and activation, Sunlight was very quick to provide a sight survey, documentation, and installation. Well streamlined and seamless installation and integration.

I've had the system for over a year and haven't had a single issue. If not for gas charges, I wouldn't have a bill. Highly recommend.

We had been wanting to install solar for awhile. We met with 3 different companies and assessed each proposal. Sunlight came in the most competitive and they were also the nicest from a customer service perspective. They were available for all of our questions along the way. Once we signed the paperwork, the process was pretty quick. They kept us up to date on all of the milestones we would be having along the way. We now have had our solar running for almost two months and we're so happy we made the switch! I would recommend Sunlight Solar to everyone!

These are great people. They installed the solar panels quickly and gave me further assistance promptly when I needed it. I'm enjoying a $300.57 credit to my bill for the excess energy my solar panels produced! I LOVE not having to pay for electricity! Well worth it.

James gregory is the best from sunlight solar no pressure just informs you of your options and how solar works. If your looking for solar this is the guy. I have referred other families members as well. The process was smooth and easy

Sunlight Solar installed 13 panels onto my rooftop in Lemon Grove and did an excellent job. The process was overall easy and fast, except for the need to upgrade my current electrical lines, which was all done in house and in a timely manner. Once the the permits were complete and panels installed everything as set up and completed to a satisfactory level. Overall I give 5/5 stars for work and customer communication as I did have a minor issue but Jeff was able to rectify the issue for me. I have recommended Sunlight solar to multiple friends who have also used them and been satisfied.

If this were out of 10, they would get 9 stars.

Sunlight actually came recommended from the people that sell the panels commercially in San Diego.

Sunlight Solar did a nice job with our solar system on our historic (Mills Act) house. They were able to help us get the panels strategically placed to keep them mostly out of view.

The install crew was top notch - no complaints about them at all.

We had one error in the install and they came back to fix it promptly.

However, when we found we needed a solar electrical junction moved, we found their quote to be on the high end and ended up just using our own electrician.

We used Sunlight Solar for our solar needs and they were great. They were very responsive throughout the whole process and worked within our budget w/o compromising our needs. They didn't recommend more panels than we needed which is not the experience we had w/ some other companies. I was referred to them by my sister and I'm so glad we went w/ them. The quality has been great and we haven't had any issues in the year since we got our panels installed. The electric savings has been amazing and due to that we were also able to get A/C installed to help w/ these increasingly hot summers. I really appreciate Sunlight Solar's professionalism throughout the installation process and would recommend them to anyone looking for solar for their home.

Some friends of ours referred us to Sunlight Solar, and I am so glad that they did! We've met with other companies, but the sales representatives and customer service personnel with Sunlight Solar are beyond comparison. Very friendly, professional, courteous, and human! They were up front and honest with us from the start. Didn't try to upsell and gave us a lot of information. When install day came, they were early! They got started and had everything ready to go in a few hours. The clean up job was fantastic!! They left ZERO trash behind and even swept our driveway! We always knew when things were happening and exactly what to expect. Thank you Sunlight Solar!!

Amazing!!! I had seen some of the work Sunlight Solar had done in my neighborhood in the past couple of years and I was impressed and decided that when the time came for me to have work done on my house, that I would go to Sunlight Solar. I finally called Sunlight Solar to get an estimate on a new roof. James Gregory came out and gave me a ton of details on the roofing materials that Sunlight uses to install a top quality roof. I really appreciated all the details. So they got to work quick and removed one roof and found a second roof underneath (who knew?). The crew also repaired a couple of spots that had rotted through the years, but did Not "adjust the price" because James had already noticed the issues! So, NO SURPRISES! Because of Sunlight Solar's experience and knowledge. They installed Owen's Corning TruDef Duration Cool shingles and my house looks sharp! So great that we did the windows because I'd been wanting double-paned windows for a while. I should have had them include the front door because the house looks so crisp! And modern and sharp! Working with James and Amanda and Jeff was truly a pleasure. Always polite, friendly and prompt to respond. Their crews are very respectful and careful with the window treatments. Your home is an investment and Sunlight Solar is the only company I would trust with my property. Call them up! You'll be glad you did!

Sunlight Solar proved to be the one-stop shop for our solar and roof needs. Like many homes in the area built 50+ years ago, you want to put a first rate solar system on a roof that will last. Thankfully, Sunlight Solar installed a handsome, efficient roof that we feel confident will keep the cold/water out and keep the solar array up on the roof for decades to come!
Sunlight Solar helped us navigate some tricky junction box and permitting, as well as dealing with plug in dates with SDGE. If there were any delays, Sunlight Solar kept us readily informed and provided reasonable timelines. Ultimately, we love how the solar panels look with their all black grid and low profile mounts!

Extremely satisfied with my PV install from Sunlight Solar. Sergio provided me with a great experience throughout the entire process. My system blends in nicely with my roof, thanks to the installers going above and beyond to color match the electrical conduit, as best as possible. Definitely a company worth referring to others.

Overall Excellent Experience, Would Reccommend

I first scheduled a consultation with a Sunlight Solar representative, James, who came to my house about a week after I called. I believe they had earlier availabilities, but scheduling the consult for a week out was what was most convenient for me. The consultation lasted roughly an hour, and I really grilled James with questions in the final 20 minutes or so. He was knowledgeable and capable and was able to answer nearly all of my questions at that first meeting.

The one thing that James couldn't answer at the time, and needed to talk with the company's technicians about before getting back to me, was not a fault of his, but rather was a consequence of the odd way my electric was installed when the house was built. Despite this oddity, James discussed the situation with the techs and called me back with an answer in as little as 2 or 3 days, if I recall.

While these details were being figured out, James was able to proceed with constructing a detailed estimate, fitting the parameters I requested on an installation. After thinking it over, I moved forward and signed the paperwork agreeing to the proposal. I informed James I would call back within the week to schedule the next step in the process, in which technicians were to come to the house and get the measurements they would need to install the solar panels in the optimal configuration for my roof's layout.

Then, I decided that I actually wanted a solar system that was a bit more robust, one which provided a little more oomph, so to speak. James worked with me to determine exactly what specs the system would need in order for me to get what I wanted out of it, offered a few different choices of changes that could be made to provide the system with those specs, and once I had chosen the route I wanted to go he quickly updated the estimate to reflect the revised total cost.

Just to give you an idea of how much of a change I was asking for, and how much of a curveball I was throwing at James with this request, at the drop of a hat, after we had agreed on what the project would be, and I had signed the contract agreeing to it: these changes equated to an increase of 30% to the original total cost of the project. Despite this, James never complained and was happy to accommodate my request for these significant changes, once again, after the contracts had been signed and legally, they would've been within their rights to deny me.

Agreeing with the new and updated project, signing the updated paperwork, I scheduled the dates the installation was to occur. I was particular about the dates aligning to my schedule since I wanted to be present. Just in case anything came up during the installation, I would be able to react and respond immediately.

I don't imagine this is normal for most customers, and I'm aware this was potentially a tad unreasonable & I want to bring it up, to comment on the fact that Sunlight Solar accommodated me in this regard, despite it pushing the dates a little farther into the future than they originally suggested. Yet again, they did this without any complaints or pushback. They really bent over backward to make me happy as the customer, and I appreciate it greatly.

As it would turn out, my desire to be present for the installation was not necessary at all. It went off without a hitch. Since that time, Sunlight Solar has continued to be responsive to any requests I have made & to questions I have had. They did not disappoint me at any point, from the start, up to the current moment. Although I have not been a customer of other solar power installation companies that I could compare them to or against, I would nevertheless recommend Sunlight Solar to all others who may be considering installing solar panels, solar power storage, or any other thing made to capture sunlight and convert it into usable electricity for the customer.

Extremely happy with the results! I have an old house and recently gone through a mini-renovation of sorts, working with several contractors in various specialities. Sunlight's work stood out as the best. The crew was extremely hard working, but more importantly they showed care about doing it right and great attention to detail (yes, I checked all the nooks and crannies when they were done). They completely addressed concerns I expressed about the house during the initial walk around. I've used Sunlight for 2 major jobs now and both have gone flawlessly while also significantly increasing my peace of mind about the house.

I chose Sunlight Solar, Inc. after researching a few solar panel companies and finding them to be good in follow up and pricing in comparisons. My solar panels were operational in 45 days from signing the contract with, salesman who explained everything in detail. Ramon, Operations and Engineering helped in design modifications to get optimum efficiency and HOA approval. Now 10 months passed very satisfied with the installation and performance. Nice to have negative electric bills. Courteous and efficient one day installation after they obtained all the permits. I recommend them and have referred them to friends and 2 neighbors because of the efficient performance. Those 2 neighbors projects completed on schedule too.

I wish I could have given a better review. The first time we worked with Sunlight, for our solar, we had not issues. They were straight forward with us, provided advice for financing and have not had an issue with our solar. However, we never received instruction on how to make sure our solar is working properly. Despite that we did meet with them again to look at replacing the windows in our house. Not only did we replace the windows but we also had our house repainted. We received a good deal, but had some issues after with the communication and updates with the salesman and when the work would be getting completed. It did end up taking longer than we were told, but it looks great. Then came the real shock and disappoint. We went with the financing recommended by the salesman and we seemed in a rushed to get the paperwork completed. We were not told that once the job was complete we would have to wait 30-days to payoff the financing and it would take many phone calls between different companies to get it done. Once we waited the 30 days, we then had to call and request a "call number." The call number took until the second week into November (house was completed the first of October) and then we had to request a payoff amount. When I was told how much we owed I was so surprised and upset that I had to leave work for the rest of the day. The amount due, was of course the price we where given, and an additional 7,000 dollars for fees and interest. We did not budget for that additional cost. When I reached out to the salesman, because he recommended this financing to us, he was not sympathetic to the amount owed and said he just recommended the company and we didn't have to use them. I hung up on him and texted him to not contact me anymore. I was beside myself with that type of service. I will never use this company again and will no longer recommend them to my neighbors.
