I was on the fence at first before changing my review. But they came through and setup a service team to come out and check my roof and the install of solar panels. I can tell this company cares and wants to do best for the customer. I have given their salesman two referrals in the past. My friends said they did a good job for them. So far a great company! All of the Semper Solaris workers were professional and very hard working. Communication about the project was outstanding. My roof was completed very fast and it looks fantastic!

Angie is a great representative for Semper home. She took the time I needed to understand the Tesla app and all the features in it. Her recommendations for how I should proceed with my system were excellent. Angie’s type of call should be directed to customers after installations are complete To get the full understanding of the system.

I’ve worked with Phil Valverde at Semper Solaris for about three years now, and the experience has been excellent. Phil is always available when I need him and is very responsive to calls, emails, and texts.

Semper Solaris is high-quality company with excellent service, technical expertise, and above-and-beyond customer service. They installed our solar panels, heat pump HVAC, and roof/gutters a few years ago and have provided awesome followup support. Mark Ivory was the consultant who helped us navigate choosing the systems and options, and we found him to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. We recently contacted Semper Solaris again to add a solar battery to our system and were happy to hear we'd be meeting with Mark again. As always, he presented all the information and options clearly and answered our many questions. It's nice knowing we can trust him to "tell it like it is." This is a solid company that has been around for years and isn't going to disappear, which was important to us for warranties and ongoing service. Their level of customer service is unmatched by any other company we've ever worked with - absolutely fantastic. (We wish every company could be like them!)

This is Phil Cusumano. My experience with Roland Obana has been outstanding. He’s been at my side every minute of the time that I’ve been dealing with Semper Solaris so he’s help me understand things and also he’s very good at explaining things to older people too, anyway if it wasn’t for him, I probably would end up not getting it because it just was in someways dealing with Email and and the way they send them to you under a different type of language. It’s hard to understand what they’re trying to get across, but anyway, Roland has been there every step of the way and and he’s been outstanding and you’re very fortunate to have them on your staff. The installation crew and the Semper Solaris as a company have been outstanding. They knew exactly what to do and they explained everything thoroughly to me and so I’m very happy. Jonathan Kibler from Semper Solaris was the epitome of help. One of my main goals in upgrading my home was to support energy efficiency and take advantage of programs and enhancements before they went away. I'm extremely proud of all the men and women in my family who have served in the military, including a number of them who were career military. I strongly support and deeply appreciate anyone who serves in the military. When I found out that Semper Solaris has done so much to help service members and their families, I knew it was a sign I should do business with Semper Solaris. Jonathan was the perfect person at the perfect time! He was thorough, patient, conveyed knowledge of what my best alternatives were and yet was not aggressive or pushy. Jonathan and Semper Solaris were great to work with. Everyone exemplified professionalism and commitment to doing the best job possible. Jonathan was very responsive and vigilant about any questions or concerns I had. For example, he explained the logistics of how many panels I might want/need. I knew I could have ordered fewer panels but due to the way Jonathan explained things, I ordered more than the basic number of solar panels. Part of the reason was because the more I worked with Jonathan and Semper Solaris, the more I knew I would want to stay with Semper Solaris for future projects. So far, I plan to have Semper Solaris install new windows, sliding glass doors and an HVAC system. Having more than the basic number of solar panels gave me the foundation for any future projects we do. Jonathan demonstrated extraordinary professionalism, knowledge and talent.

We recently moved into a new home and contacted Semper Solaris for a proposal and quote. Their sales rep Paul Rampoldi was quick to respond. He assessed our needs and then provided a clear and detailed explanation of a system design that best fit our needs. I received the written proposal and quote within a couple of days. The quote was less than one from a competitor. The project which included roofing proceeded much faster than I had hoped and with no interruption to our daily routine. During the project Paul R. was quick to respond to my questions and at the completion of the project he made sure I was completely satisfied with the work and how the system was operating.

Roland came by to check on me after 3 years & everything couldn't be better.
I pay nothing for my electric bill aside from the connection fees & very happy and please and saving a lot of money. I recommend asking for Roland and having Semper Solaris do the job!

Christian was the Superintendent for my re-roof project before solar installation. Him and his team did a great job. Christian was professional, courteous and communicative. After the re-roof, he addressed all my concerns and answered all my questions which is very much appreciated. The solar and battery install went smooth. All my questions and concerns were addressed. Semper Solaris is an outstanding company. I highly recommend and endorse for anyone that is looking for a new or replacement solar system and/or roofing project. This is rather a lengthy review that I will break into two parts due to the complexity of the project. Bottom line up front, five of five stars and highly endorse this company.

When we purchased the house in 2010, the builder included a solar system using Eagle Solar Roofs with SolarBlend from Suntech. Although this was a smaller system, it worked fine until November of 2024 and stopped working. After receiving several quotes, I decided to go with Semper Solaris with the initial consultation with Rhami Hasenin, their account executive and energy consultant. Rhami is professional, friendly, super responsive and knowledgeable. With Rhami’s help during the consultation around energy needs in February, we decided to go with 16 new solar panels, a Tesla Powerwall 3 and replacing an old inverter to get the old system back online.

Semper’s project team is friendly, communicative, and ensures all aspects of the project move forward in a timely fashion including the design phase, City permits, coordinating with SDG&E, and scheduling the crews for onsite installation. Stephanie is a key member of this team and was always very pleasant during scheduling interactions. The new system was installed in April. The crew was efficient and friendly.

Unfortunately, we could not get the old solar tiles working so in the summer decided to move forward with phase 2 of the project. This entailed the removal of the old solar tiles, a complete overhaul of the back roof with Semper’s roofing team. I separately provided a review here Semper Home. Semper Solaris Roofing Field Director Christian Jimenez and his entire team are extremely professional, provide superior workmanship, and ensured the entire roofing project was completed to the highest standards. Here’s the benefit, the roofing team works hand in hand with the solar team for seamless project execution.

Fast forward, the solar team finished phase 2 with seven new additional panels tied to the new inverter in November. A standout during this phase was Alex Balbuena. His knowledge of inverters and seamlessly integrating all the systems was incredible. In addition, Semper worked closely with SDG&E on the permit applications to ensure our home was grandfathered into NEM 1 status per the original agreements in 2010. I am grateful to all parties involved as this was an important part of the overall project plan.

Due to the overall complexity of this project, there were times when senior leadership/ownership of Semper Solaris had to be looped in. I can say the ownership team is client centric and strives to “do the right thing” when issues arise. In hindsight, I think Rhami and I would both agree we would not have messed with the old panels in the original project plan. That said, Rhami’s patience and professionalism was highly appreciated over the entire project lifecycle in 2025. There were lots of unknowns and variables and Rhami delivered by helping me navigate this from start to finish. We have passed the final City inspection and the project has come to a positive conclusion. Semper Solaris is a fantastic company. A massive Thank You to everyone at Semper Solaris. This is one extremely happy customer!

We recently had Semper Solaris install our new roof and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, our project manager, Christian Jimenez, was outstanding—always reachable, attentive, and willing to explain every step of the process. When we had to postpone the work due to a family emergency, he was incredibly supportive and understanding, which made a stressful situation much easier.

The crew was equally impressive. They staffed a large team, which made the work move quickly without ever compromising on quality. They were professional, respectful, and responsive to our questions and even supported some changes along the way without hesitation.

Went with Semper Solaris to replace my roof and add solar. This review is only for the roof part since I am still waiting to hear about my solar install date. The roofing crew always arrived early and ready to work before expected which was a good sign for me. Christian Jimenez was the project manager for the roof project and he was always very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I felt very talented care of with Christian’s updates.

Now I’m just waiting to hear from the solar team on when that will start. I was promised the solar install would be complete before the end of the year, so we will see.
