So happy with my system. My salesman, Jon was great. His tentative design was the same as the design team's and the installation went smoothly. Mine is a complex dual system - a legacy system installed more than 10 years ago and a new system with battery storage. The design was such that the legacy system could still export excess generated power to the grid at favorable rates while the new system does not export because of the different rates for available newer systems, making it a complicated job. The installation team headed by Nic was professional and got the the system installed and running on schedule. Initially, the dual system was not working as intended, but Jon helped me get Semper's technical team to get the software settings corrected (something that Enphase didn't seem able to do despite my several conversations with their technical staff.) As questions arose during the process from design, to installation, to production, Jon always responded to my questions promptly (frequently within minutes!) and got me pointed in the right direction.

Sebastian and his helper did a fantastic job. Was clear communicating the work and very clean install. Clean up all their work and was very patient with my questions.

Josh D provided me with absolute next level customer service. I had initially reached out for some technical assistance and went back-and-forth a few times trying to connect, then Josh D reached out with a call and text. Josh was available anytime I needed him, walked me through my situation and ultimately took care of me. What I appreciated the most was that he took the initiative to contact me without me having to follow up with him. I’ve not experienced this level of customer service in a long, long time thank you, Josh.

1 year to complete my solar installation - I had to work with SDGE and find out that semper submitted the wrong application more than once. When the technicians arrived they did not know how to configure my battery so they sat in my garage for 3 to 4 hours before an expert showed up. They did not prep me on the app configuring and assumed my net metering configuration. I was prepared and had that information before we began, not knowing we needed it but I knew what i had. They did not instruct me of this, it was a very shoot from the hip installation. They ignored me and had me email their net metering department via email with no phone number. After the installation it took 1 year before a quality assurance manager talked to me to "finish" the installation. They apologized and helped finish the project. The new solar setup did not tie into my existing Solaris net metering credits, I didn't know about this till after i signed the contract. My fault, for not reading the fine print. All in all I will never use semper Solaris again, I was can that was kicked down the road. I put up over 20k and still ended up paying the same amount on electricity i did last year. If i knew this would happen i never would have gone with semper.

Roland Obana was extremely helpful. He helped us get our system a few years ago, then came out now and checked in on us and confirmed our system is working as planned. He was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and a great guy to work with. We highly recommend working with him and working with Semper Solaris.

David’s assistance in reconnecting my monitoring system by installing some new parts was amazing. I have zero technical, electrical or mechanical skills, but his patient, encouraging step-by-step approach got the job done. He was so helpful and kind - he deserves a Boy Scout badge!

I was prepared to purchase solar from another company but wanted to give Semper a chance. I liked the military aspect and felt a certain level of trust.
After meeting, conferring and learning a lot from Paul, I wanted to drill further into details. Paul was continuously responsive, informative and very helpful. It was because of him that I went with Semper. And the rest of their team proved to be excellent as well.

We've had three separate solar installations over the past five years by Semper Solaris. The last one was in late 2025, and the best of the three. No matter who I called for help or information, everyone was always pleasant and tried their best to resolve any issues we might have had! A special thanks goes to Phil Valverde of sales who kept the installation on schedule, and Stephanie Richmond who I could call directly about any technical questions we had.

We chose Semper Solaris for what we thought would be a straightforward solar project. It quickly turned into one of the most complex home projects we’ve ever dealt with — and the only reason it succeeded is because of Jonathan Kibler and the depth of Semper’s team.

The first major obstacle was SDG&E. We experienced long delays with almost no communication, only to later learn that our neighborhood already had significant solar adoption. SDG&E claimed the existing transformer and service drop couldn’t support additional load and initially wanted us to pay for upgrades. That would have ended the project for many homeowners.

Jonathan didn’t accept that. He pushed for answers, coordinated across teams, escalated appropriately, and ultimately helped resolve an issue that would have stopped less experienced installers. Having someone who understood both the technical side and how to navigate the utility was invaluable.

Then we hit a second issue with the City permitting process. Our home was incorrectly flagged as a historical property, which caused permits to be held. Again, Jonathan stayed on it — working through the city, providing documentation, and keeping everything moving while keeping us informed the entire time.

Beyond overcoming those major hurdles, Semper Solaris also:

Helped us with financing options that made sense

Coordinated a roof installation alongside the solar work

Adjusted schedules so we could still qualify for the federal tax credit

Communicated clearly and consistently through a stressful, drawn-out process

What stood out most was accountability. Jonathan never treated this like “someone else’s problem.” He owned the project end-to-end and stayed engaged until it was fully completed.

Awesome service experience. David was assigned my appt (scheduled for a week away) and proactively checked out my issue remotely. He ran a scan of my system and found a bad j better which was covered under warranty by the manufacturer. He worked with me to get it replaced at no cost! Awesome help and great service.

The first crew member we met and who sold us on SEmpra's team was Jonathan K. He was very "educative" and less "salemen", which is very important to me. He patiently walk me through various weeks of questions while we waited to establish a "useage history" in our newly acquired home, and he spoke truths from experience. I appreciate his style and Sempra's professional processes/team.

Christian did well in his communications and making sure my requests for the roofing were relayed to the crew. It’s be great to help him get more notice than within 24 hours so that I could prep for any contingencies like moving a car out of a driveway. But the overall experience, as simple as it is, was satisfactory. Thank you, Christian.

I had issues with the Solar PLA. I was not getting monthly reports regarding my solar. David Fontaine was awesome; he helped figure out what was wrong and walked me through how to fix it. I am 71 yrs old and somewhat sufficient with technology, but David explained what I needed to do and how to do it. He also reset my solaredge account and said to reach out to him anytime I needed help. He is an extraordinary young man and definitely a keeper as an employee. Thank you, David for all of your help. Christian Jiminez was my roof project coordinator. He was the absolute bright spot out of all 3 of the projects I did with Semper. He was very good at communicating and setting expectations. Any issues I had during the project (which there were very few of) he took note of and fixed right away. There were a few things that needed follow up work at the end of the job and he was on top of it every step of the way. Christian stayed in touch with me till I was 100% satisfied with my project.
