Buyer beware:
First, I thought I was hiring Affordable Carpet Care in Encinitas to clean a carpet in one room, only to find out I was paying Air Quality Pros, minus any invoice via Venmo.

Affordable Carpet Care had previously given me a price for steam cleaning a 16' X 15' room for $79, but the Air Quality Pros technician would add $39 for "set up." I initially was surprised at the added fee but agreed. He also said it would be $245 to shampoo it, which I thought was a bit steep.

He took about a gallon of hot water from a tub, placed it in a Home Depot styled carpet cleaning machine and began the "cleaning." When I questioned if it was cleaning well, he said for another $45 he could shampoo it. With the reduced shampoo price, I agreed. (He ultimately charged me $176.80 inc. tax.)

I shampoo the carpet each year and notice it smells clean when completed. This time I noticed no clean smell and decided to wipe the wet carpet with a white towel, only to find out the carpet was still dirty (see picture).

I called back the Air Quality Pros number, explained my displeasure and the person said the technician would return to address my concern but never arrived. I contacted Affordable Carpet Care and they said someone would contact me...still waiting.

It appears I'm going to have to hire another legitimate carpet cleaning company or rent a machine. I'll definitely not use ACC or refer them.
