Contractor reviews in Escondido, California

Great working with these guys! They do a lot of projects that the homeowners have been pleased with. Always a pleasure to work with them.

Masing Construction provided timely and quality repair works on some plumbing issues. Communication was excellent and I would highly recommend them for future use.

They redid my kitchen, which was a hassle in itself, but it does look great in the end- except the electric breakers keep going out- which is their fault. The reason they get 1 star is the way I was treated.
1- Being a female, they were very condescending to me, and treated me like I was stupid.
2- They kept adding more onto the bill.
3- I had MAJOR issues with their electrician that they used. This electrician was only supposed to wire the kitchen area and another room behind the kitchen. Also kitchens are supposed to be on a completely separate breaker from the rest of the house. He didn't install things properly, was brought back to fix some issues, and when he did- he was annoyed, rude and in a hurry. So what happened? Now my kitchen wiring that was separated- is NOT separated so when I run certain appliances and have the lights on in the family room and tv- the circuit blows. This happens all the time- very frustrating. Boyd came out to inspect it- and immediately said- "We didn't do this, it wasn't my guy," when I have documentation that shows what day his guy was there and indeed it WAS his guy. What happens when we call his electrician on the phone? Well the electrician talked over me, wouldn't hear what was going on, then hung up the call. Boyd refuses to fix this issue. We spent over $25,000 on the kitchen remodel, but of course he's already been paid and they won't fix it so the circuits are separated. REALLY?
4- They absolutely won't resolve any issues after you've paid them in full- GOOD LUCK with that.
I am absolutely HORRIFIED at the way I was treated, and their customer service is disgusting.
What kind of "Professional" comes in a house and says immediately without even looking at the circuit box- "We didn't do this?"
Then to have his electrician hang up the phone on us in mud sentence is totally unprofessional.
He never even took a look at the breaker box either. Im left to deal with this on my own- really?

Speaking for all the women out there- BEWARE of this company!

Construction can be noisy and dusty, so be prepared for that going in. Masing did a great job. They we there when scheduled and the staff was business like yet friendly and personable. Ours was a small job (bathrooms) and they got it done quickly and efficiently. A couple of changes were handled in an accommodating way. Recommend contacting them.

We had a water leak situation that was not easy to locate and Masing construction not only found the complicated leak in the first attempt but continued to show us how professional and caring for our home while we were dealing with a difficult time. From the beginning to the end, I would recommend Masing Construction. The attention to detail and the employees are amazing! Thank you so much for being the type of company that we appreciate.

We had Masing Construction Inc take out excessive ceiling lights and put in a closet in place of a built in desk. The communication was excellent and suggestions were made to make my project turn out even better than expected. From the demo and the electrical to the construction of the closet, the workers were all very professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend this company.

Masing construction was a pleasure to work with. We told them our budget and our must-haves with our kitchen remodel and they delivered. They raised the ceiling and offered me various options that I hadn't thought of. They were in and out in 11 days!! I was so impressed. We have been using our new kitchen for almost a year now and everything is still GREAT!! They were respectful and communicative. Would use them again in a heart beat.

Boyd from Masing Construction provides excellent service! His bid was very competitive with the other companies, we selected him because his bid was less than the others and he made us feel comfortable.

We had a leaking balcony over our garage that required repair. His workers and subcontractors were experts in their specialty and kept the work area clean. We are very happy with the repair.

I highly reccomend Boyd Masing.

Boyd's team completed a challenging remodel, communicating and working well with our architect, designer and all his subcontrators. He calmly approaches issues that are typical of remodel jobs, and is trustworthy in his communications and business dealings. We love the result. Thanks!

I have worked with contractors over the years and Masing Construction Inc. proved to be one of the best. They were well managed and reliable.Boyd Masing is very personable and quick to return my calls. He shared many great design ideas that helped ease the design process. I really appreciated the relationship that I had with Angela, Boyd's executive administrator.I felt that I could call Angela with any questions, even the silly ones. She and Boyd and their staff were both patient, respectful, and kind. Most importantly, Boyd's crew of skilled workers delivered quality work. I'll be sure to use Masing Construction services for my future needs.

I recently hired Masing construction for a home renovation, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Boyd and his team provided excellent service throughout the entire process. From the framing to the plumbing, woodworking, drywall installation, piecing together tile flooring (new bordering old) and painting, every detail was handled with precision and care.

The communication was clear and timely, and they kept me informed every step of the way. The craftsmanship was top-notch, and it’s evident they take pride in their work. I highly recommend Masing construction to anyone looking for a reliable general contractor. You won’t be disappointed!

He expanded our house and did an amazing job transforming the entire home

They did a great job from start to finish, they were honest professional, showed up as expected, cleaned up well and made sure everything was perfect before they left. Will definitely work with them in the future.

Very professional company, Payman takes serious interest in his customers and is at the job site every day. Great work, on time completion. Would use again for future projects.

Imperial General Contractors (IGC) did a fantastic job for me! It was at a time when it felt like the world was crashing in on me. My wife's health was a concern, my mom was going into surgery, my home was flooded in a major way!
IGC was there for me! They gave me a contract, in detail, as to the work to be performed. My insurance used every item on the list, approving all that was to be done. What a relief that was! Then they performed the work while my tenants continued to live in the home. Major construction was under way, two bathroom renovations and a kitchen remodel needed to be completed. They did this to my complete satisfaction, not to mention my wife's satisfaction also! All the while meeting my timely expectations and keeping my tenants aware and satisfied. Wow, I was impressed! They kept fantastic communication with both me and my tenants, and were responsive to all our needs.
I highly recommend IGC to anyone who's on a tight budget and needs work to be completed quickly and professionally!

I was referred to Payman by a business associate. He responded to my call immediately. We scheduled an initial meeting and he started work the following day. I am more than satisfied with the flooring he installed as well as another small project. All was completed quickly, professionally, and for a price than was less than I had expected. I have already recommended Payman to the HOA board for my condo and he will likely be completing several projects in the coming months.

We are very grateful to Imperial General Contractors for our beautifully remodeled house which was done within the schedule and budget they stated upfront. It was a large project of replacing floors, cabinets, fixtures, windows, electrical wiring, paint, and expanding our kitchen. The tile for the showers and the bathroom floors was laid in perfection. They were instrumental in designing the master shower as we did not have anything particular in mind. They also helped with the kitchen design. They were very accommodating and considerate working around us as we remained living in the house. There were no surprises, they were very open and honest, and we would recommend them for any job.

I worked with Payman at Imperial General Contractors on 2 major projects. The first was redoing the electrical in our old home, repairing some water damage, and installing a new roof. The second was redoing garage which involved some demolition, stronger framing for the ceiling, plumbing, adding some more outlets, and drywall. His company did great work in both cases. I left several of the stylistic details up to him and am really happy with the choices he made. I can tell he pays his workers a fair wage charges a fair price. Will definitely work with him again for future projects.

I’ve used Paymon and his company on a couple remodels. His employees are professional, punctual and have excellent workmanship. Most importantly, he/they are trustworthy. I have also referred IGC to elderly friends who I was reluctant to refer to “just anyone to” - I knew I could trust Paymon and his employees who installed beautiful stair wood railings in a historical, stunning home that needed to look as if they’d been installed when the home was built. He is worth every dollar he charges. I give him the highest rating possible!!

Very hard workers. I highly recommend them. Ismael is very professional and he always gets the job done. You guys are outstanding! Way to go. 👏

Amazing! Ismael topped off handling my plumbing issues for a remodel and did an amazing job. He's very experienced and ultra efficient. Three plumbing guys came in and knocked out the job of adding fixtures for a tub filler, setting tub, finishing a wall mounted toilet with bidet, setting shower fixtures and replace my main shutoff. Super detailed on figuring out what parts are needed and efficient work.
