Subpar quality and not a general contractor he’s a scab landscaper and wouldn’t use him for anything but that.

Ricardo knows his stuff. He's honest and fair, also. I highly recommend him.

Nightmare. Liars, poor quality work, unprofessional

In April of 2019, I engaged Project Manager Marc Correll and Sundancer Pools to do a significant remodel of our pool at a cost of close to $50,000. The scope of work included new plaster, lights, tile, coping, paver decking, stone on spa wall etc. The project was supposed to take about 5 weeks, it took them 7 1/2 months to finish and there are still a number of issues which they refuse to take responsibility for. The whole idea was to have the job completed so we could use the pool during the summer months. It was finally swimmable the first week of September.
Firstly, they were supposed to start on an agreed upon date but demo began 2 weeks late. I asked Marc if we were getting the color changing LED lights for the pool and he said "Yes, although certain color plasters don't work well with the color LED's".
After the demo, nobody showed up for 2 weeks. Before demo, I walked the job with Marc and he painted an orange line where pavers were to go which was essentially the entire backyard with the exception of two areas around palm trees that were designed to have artificial turf around them. He ordered the pavers and in August my family went to Australia. The pavers were started while we were away and before we returned I got an e-mail stating they had run short of pavers and had to order more. When we got home there was a pallet of pavers waiting and I also received an invoice for the entire project even though the pool hadn't even been plastered! Very unprofessional! To top it off, he tried to charge an additional $3800 for the pavers which he didn't order enough of due to not estimating correctly! I refused to pay and they later deducted that from the invoice. He tried to claim I agreed to a larger paver area while underway. Mind you, I was in Australia at the time!
They also determined that we needed a retaining wall around the planters which would require a different design which I'm still not fond of and they tried to make the wall out of pavers including the cap which would look awful. They finally got the cap done to our liking but it will cost me more to face the wall with stone and finish it properly as I didn't want to pay them any more due to their mistake.
When the pool was finally filled with water and we turned on the pool light we quickly realized there was not nearly enough light! Marc insisted the light was defective and had the Pentair Rep come out to look. (Marc had not even looked at the light in person) The Rep immediately said the light was not defective but that that color plaster does not work well with color LED lights! He said the Blue Surf pool color would need 3-4 lights to illuminate properly. Marc later came out at night to see the lights and said he thought they looked fine. We already knew he was going to say this to avoid responsibility and his e-mail that he wrote without seeing the lights!
There's much more I could add but long story short they took 7 1/2 months and the spillway doesn't work correctly and we have a salt cell that they damaged and won't replace. Instead of them getting many more referrals and a good review I would advise go somewhere else that will take care of your pool remodel in a professional manner. Now, we will have to get another company out and probably sue Sundancer Pools.

Sundancer Pools is awesome! Building a pool and redoing your backyard is an expense second to purchasing a home....it's a BIG deal (at least it was to us). Marc Correll and Sundancer Pool crews were beyond awesome. I work from home so I was able to see the progress as it happened each day. From demolition to excavation to underground utilities to construction to hardscape to project management, EVERY team went above and beyond doing things right as if it were their own home which is so appreciated. Everyone was professional, courteous, clean, skilled, and communicative. I would HIGHLY recommend Sundancer Pools and Marc for any kind of backyard transformation. We're very happy and excited to kick off the summer.

Sundancer was a fantastic company to work with on our pool and landscaping project. Robby was incredibly responsive and his insight was truly a blessing on getting this project completed BEYOND my expectations. Staying within budget, providing a quality product, and being flexible and responsive to our changing needs as the project evolved are the exact qualities that anyone would value in a contractor. This is our 2nd pool project and we will only contact Sundancer for all of our pool needs going forward. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to at least talk to Sundancer prior to your pool build. Sundancer Pools has to be one of the most responsive and professional pool company's ever. We had a visit with Robby immediately, he showed! ( unlike others we contacted)
The plan he developed for our back yard was just what we wanted and within our budget. He did not oversell ( thank you!) and provided the best options for our family. If there were any issues, he responded immediately. We are now enjoying our pool daily. Thank you for a wonderful job! You already have received referrals from us... we will keep them coming. Without a doubt, choosing Sundancer to do our pool project was the best decision we ever made. We spoke with a few others that I shall not name first, and did not enjoy the way they handled business. Then along came Robby at Sundancer. Never any pressure from him, always happy to work to our timeline for us to pull the trigger and when we did, the work his team has put together has been exceptional. All the trades are his crew and he's in constant communication with us and them. And as for the pool, we are in love with it and can't wait to be wasting days sipping drinks in the spa!

If you're looking at any other pool company, stop, call Sundancer, you wont regret it!

We contacted many companies during the summer of 2020 to help us build our pool. The unique thing about our pool was that we wanted it on the bank (up high). A few requirements for us were 1) Company has been around for longer than 2-3 years (for any warranty issues), 2) Most of their workers are employees of the company (not 3rd party contractors), 3) Responsiveness.

Robby came out and listened to what we wanted and Sundancer came up with the best plan and an awesome idea for a vanishing edge that doubled as a water fall on the lower level. I enjoyed working with Robby throughout the whole process. He responds to texts even at odd hours when I had some ideas to bounce off him. Because of the demand, our pool didn't get started until end March of 2021 and we started filling water July 29th of 2021. I thought it was great progress considering the demand and supply shortage.

When looking for a pool company in 2022, we called a handful of pool builders. None seem to understand our vision or offer other suggestions as quickly as Sundancer did. We signed and within 30 days began construction (permitting went much quicker than we anticipated). The digging of our pool space took a week and was done by hand, as it was in a backyard with no access. Needless to say, almost a year after completion, we could not be happier with our Oasis and the experience with Sundancer Pools. Dave, Shanyn. The crew was honest, communicative, and helpful with all questions we had, and we had plenty! Included the before and after photos.

We absolutely love our pool, and would change nothing. Marc at Sundancer Pools was extremely helpful and patient with us as we navigated building our pool. We had many other contractors over to compare prices and logistics. Marc's prices were comparable, if not lower to others, but his demeanor won us over! That and the fact that he was just different than the other companies, letting us take our dream and run with it. After being told by other contractors that we had too much rock to put it where we wanted, and us not wanting to push it even further from the house, Marc came over and said we could absolutely try and move the pool around where needed. Did we hit rock, yes, we knew we would. Was it worth it? Yes! We are so happy we chose Sundancer Pools to build our pool. Marc was there every step of the way, making sure everything ran smoothly. From day one, his design ideas were great, we made some tweaks on the fly and he had no issue handling our modifications with great input on what would and would not make sense. He took the vision we had in our heads and somehow made it look even better in real life. He had solutions for things we didn’t even know were problems yet, and every recommendation he made ended up being the smarter, cleaner, long-term play. You can tell he’s been doing this for a long time and actually cares about how your space will look and function years from now, not just on photo day.

His team was awesome too. Super friendly, super professional, and shockingly efficient. They showed up when they said they would, worked hard, cleaned up, and kept the project moving. In true unicorn fashion, they even finished on time... something you don’t hear often in the world of big home projects.

But here’s the real test: how people act after they’re paid in full. That’s where Marc really separates himself from the pack. We had a couple small things pop up after completion, and instead of dragging his feet or ignoring calls like so many contractors do, Marc fixed everything quickly with zero drama. That alone made me a permanent Sundancer fan.

I recommended him to family which is always a little nerve wracking because if things go sideways, it gets awkward at the holidays but Marc and his crew delivered another home run over there too. It’s rare to find a contractor who makes you look good for referring them.

If you want a backyard that looks like a resort, a pool builder who actually communicates, and a team that does what they say they’re going to do, Sundancer Pools is a 10/10. Can’t recommend Marc and his crew enough.

UPDATE November 2025: As the season shifts from our hot SoCal summer to fall, I remain completely impressed and in awe of my pool. The heater with deep water returns keeps the pool at the perfect temperature, which is a testament to Robby and Team's design knowledge. I swim almost every day, sometimes more than once per day, and each swim is nothing less than perfection. On reflection of the process, I felt so listened to during the building of my pool, and Sundancer delivered my dream of a large, deep pool with a space to do all sorts of exercise. I couldn't be more happy! It IS perfect! Thank you so much!!

I interviewed eight or nine different pool contractors in San Diego County before calling Sundancer, and once I met Robby, I knew I had found the best pool builder match for me. Robby and his entire team delivered the pool of my dreams, and I couldn’t be happier! I especially appreciated Robby’s patience with my timeline prior to beginning the project and his detailed responses to each of my questions and concerns throughout the process. When issues did arise, as they invariably do, we had such good communication to resolve things quickly and easily (for both of us). I especially loved that my vision was honored. I am an artist, and I wanted something unique for my very first pool. Sundancer listened to me articulate my vision and helped to manage my expectations with their loads of experience. My pool design came from my desire to do laps, aerobics, and other workouts, and Sundancer helped to design every part of the pool to meet my desires – including the custom concrete diving platform installed so that I could do pull-ups from the water and the custom concrete patios with crystals, sea glass, and shell aggregate for a healing, balancing, and serene vibe. Working through the details of these specialized pool features was simply enjoyable. Communication with others can sometimes be difficult, but every ounce of communication with Robby, Shanyn, and the entire team was easy – they have the special quality of being good listeners, communicating with kindness and respect, and always keeping the goal of wanting me to be excited when my pool was done (which I am!). I have never had as good of an experience with any contractor ever. Sundancer knows pools, and working with them has been a joyful experience. Oh – and my pool was completed earlier than expected! Other vendors who do work on my property are all in awe of the pool and each have commented on how quickly the pool was completed – about three and a half months from date of signed contract until the pool was filled, which was a couple of weeks earlier than projected. Two weeks after that, I was swimming! Sundancer delivered my dream pool that I will enjoy for many years to come.

The best in the business! We hired Francisco to help with some landscaping - we needed some plants cleared to prepare for some new hedges to be planted. Francisco did such a great job that we decided to go with him for the whole project and he did an amazing job. From helping guide us in choosing the best plants for the hedge, to advising us on how to keep the cost in our budget & getting everything done quickly, professionally and with a smile, they were incredible. They did the planting, irrigation and even trimmed all of our plants for us. I will be hiring Francisco Landscaping for all of our landscaping from now on and urge you to do the same. Francisco did a great job making my walkway look beautiful. He was very professional and was able to accommodate my requirements in my budget.

Quick to respond and start project. Took the time to explain what they could offer and completed on time. Very clean and will use them again.

Green Pacific Landscaping did a great job removing a tree from my backyard. I would highly recommend them for any outside job. Cipriano Nava (and his crew) are the guys I would want to do any type of landscaping work.

Fence post replacement. Replaced two rotted posts. Then reconstructed the parts of the fence that had to be disconnected from the posts. I painted the posts before they were installed. Now the fence is straight and does not look like it had to be repaired. Excellent work.

Just hired Green Pacific Landscaping for bi-weekly yard maintenance. Today was the first day and Joel and Pablo came for the initial cleanup, which is basically a complete yard rejuvenation of sorts to get rid of a lot of the overgrowth, weeds, saplings, mowing, blowing, plant trimming, etc. They also replaced some old sprinkler valves and programmed my sprinkler timer and made sure all was in good working order. These guys are hard-working and Joel speaks perfect English, which is a huge relief. Needless to say, I recommend you give this company a shot if you're considering yard maintenance. They also do tree trimming, removal, hardscaping and more..
