Home Services reviews in Escondido, California

In reference to the company reply: the acct was in my wife's name.
We were with the company for a few years. The service was as expected of any pool servicing company. The only minor annoyance was they would send email asking to pay, even though we were on auto payment.
Few weeks ago, the pool started to smell and water tasted funny. There was no interruption in the cleaning service. So, I was surprised why that would even happen.
My kids use the pool, so I was concerned for their health and safety. I called the office and I was told someone will call back. No one called back. A few days later I called again. No one answered, so I left message stating my concerns and requesting a call back. I still have not received a call back.
I was very disappointed at the neglect. Obviously, they did not care for us or our health.
I ended up calling them to cancel the service. I was surprised they did not even ask why I was leaving. I guess they do not care on losing customers.
The lady said you have paid for this month and 1 last service would be performed. Lo behold, no one came and they just left the backyard key on the side of the front door, which I happen to find 2 days later.
A pool care company has responsibility towards their customers and health, considering potential water borne diseases. Hopefully, others do not experience what we did with this company. -
I'm fully agree and warn others to stay away from their services. No Words In Dictionary to describe how disgusting experience both by office communication and service within even 3weeks. Several emails sent no response or no call. Kyle seems to be a good guy in the beginning but never bothered to response us after service started. They simply want more $$ to do unnecessary things but no service. Office manager put on hold for 13 minutes, she had no clue what she was talking to. Service tech did not show but they are so careless they even did not bother to inform us. So i expressed my concern to Kathy requesting her to pass it to the tech. I asked Bill a service manager, did Kathy inform you my concern? He said we don't have a name Kathy work in office. It's simply a Joke!!! I requested Bill; after you done please update me in few seconds before you leave..You know what he said? I'm not going to have any seconds..He also had a dirty, mean and funny look at me..Those kinds of people are there have no manner or respect at all. I know it cost us but very lucky to be out within a 3weeks before further damage...Very shameful..
Sorry, but your response is not TRUE, which can mislead to the public. The fact is: yes he found small issue, which we discussed. We talked and informed that GE Electric had fixed it. More importantly after that you had done service twice without any issues from our side, why and how?
FYI: Currently, without spending extra money our water is sparkling, pool condition is perfect no issues at all. Think why?? What you did v/s present? Sorry for you service is true... -
*******DO NOT USE SD POOL CENTER*******
Extremely disappointed with SD Pool Center. I was having problems with my pool heater, but fixed it before the appointment. I felt I should still get it serviced, however when Gavin arrived and after explaining everything I’d done (including that I was laid off in January so wasn't working right now and need to save every dollar!), he said it doesn’t need anything done as the service light was no longer coming on after I fixed it. I thought that was fantastic of him.
I went with SD Pool Center as the price was slightly cheaper than Leslie’s, however Leslie’s call-out fee was under $50. Gavin said the call-out fee used to be around $50, however I received the invoice $128.63. After going back to them, they reduced it to $102.90. I emailed them a few times about getting a further discount, however they never responded, so I had to call them today. They wouldn't reduce the fee any further.
I don't recommend them as I find it hard to believe a 5 minute call-out fee would be over $100. Feeling ripped off.... -
Tech (he seemed nice) came out on a Mon to look at my Pentair pump, which had a leak. He took it apart and said he needed some parts. I brought up that his office asked me to send pictures of my pump with make/model #/leak location, so the tech could have parts on hand. The tech said he never saw the pictures/email I was asked to send. Tech said the office will make an appt for the same week.
I waited 2 days and then I called about the repair appt (my pool water just sitting there). Tech came out same week...now its Fri. Said all done, will get bill online. I go outside hours later, pump on and still leaking. On Mon, I emailed with pics of still leaking pump. No response in 1.3 hrs. I called and was told, "oh, I see the pics". I have to wait for an additional appt. No "real" person to make appointments with, you just get an email with a random date and approx time and hope you can take time off of work or whatever you have going on. I'll update this after my third appointment.
Update : part was properly replaced. It was a rubber seal that the same tech said that when he was first here, he thought it needed to be replaced. If he thought it needed to be replaced, why didn't he just replace it? My pump has been working fine and no more leaks. In The future, I'll be sure to avoid this company. -
We originally contacted San Dieguito Pool Center to come and evaluate our actuator that wasn't functioning properly. I was able to speak with someone over the phone and they said they would email us with an appointment. We did receive an email and I confirmed on the day of the appointment that we would like them to come out. I was home that day and no one ever came to the door and I never saw anyone come (our yard is gated and not easily accessed). There was no phone call that San Dieguito was on their way. Since they didn't show, we had to spend more effort on hiring someone else to fix the actuator. Then, a few months down the road, I received a bill from San Dieguito saying they came out and the actuator was functioning correctly! Duh, because we already had it fixed. They never called this whole time. I called SDP and informed them that we were not paying the bill since they didn't come out on the day specified, never told me they were on the property, and that we had to get someone else to fix it. We keep receiving letters asking us to pay for this obsurb bill. I have called San Dieguito Pools repeatedly and no one will pick up the phone. We have also informed them by email of the situation and yet they will not stop sending their bill. This company has very bad customer service, ethics, and is very disorganized. Do not try and work with this company. Go with someone else.

We had a great experience with San Dieguito Pool Center! They were friendly and professional. We have an in-ground spa that needed to be updated and they took great care of us. We got a few quotes and found that their pricing and customer service was the best. We felt like they were honest about what we actually needed, and what items we could have covered by our home insurance policy. Very nice when you have a company that doesn't make you feel like you are getting scammed. Gavin was our technician and he was awesome. Great communication, hard working, and always showed up on time. He spent time explaining each step to us which I really appreciated. Now we can control our spa with our phones and feel so much more comfortable that everything with our spa is up to date and safe. Highly recommend.

This company is also known as discount pool supply. They are the chosen vendor for the home warranty company we have. I'll have to say I was pleasantly surprised how good they were to deal with after the nightmare we are dealing with with a plumber assigned by the home warranty company. Our spa heater went out they came out assessed the problem contacted the home warranty company and had us a new spa heater in about a week. Greatly appreciate the turnaround time. The guys that came out to install it were pleasant and informative. I would recommend this company

So grateful for Vince and this store. I brought in a broken piece to my vacuum. Vince immediatelyknew what was wrong. He did not have a new piece for the replacement part I needed but went to the back and gave me a used piece at no charge, simply because he is a good person and was able to help me however he could. I listened to his guidance and he was exactly right, the part he gave me works perfectly and we will be going back to his store because he is a good person who cares about providing help however he can.

I highly recommend SD Pool Center. After spending 2 months trying to fix my pump priming issue on my own, I gave up and called SD Pool Center. Scheduling the appointment was easy, and the Tech was on time. Gavin, now known as the best pool guy ever in my opinion, saw the issue and fixed it within 15 minutes. Plus, he had the needed parts in his truck. This guy knows his stuff. Pool is back operational like new. I will not hesitate to call them again.

I reached out to them in desperate help. Not only did I get a response ASAP , they scheduled me ASAP as well.
They are very considerate and offer military discount!
With a bundle of dogs my house was in serious need of a DEEP clean.
The girl was not only on time but a few minutes early. She was SOOOO sweet ! She loved on my pups and that meant a lot to me. She worked efficiently and fast. Watching her work BLEW ME AWAY. I mean seriously miricle workers. My house was spotless. LIKE NO HUMAN OR DOG HAS EVER BEEN IN IT. I was really debating about sitting down. Lol. She showed me all her supplies upon request . She listened to EVERY request I had. (No harsh chemicals ect. ) she even made sure all her products were off the ground. So my dogs wouldn’t get into her stuff !
This company is on a whole other level ! 10/10 ❤️ -
We employed this firm for the last 8 months. In that time, their service was fine, not great but fine. The reasons for this POOR REVIEW include:
1. NOT closing the Deadbolt when securing front and back doors before leaving an Airbnb house unprotected;
2. NOT closing blinds on an Airbnb home when no one is going to be home for a number of days;
3. Leaving bed duvets and sheets rumpled instead of crisp and neat;
4. Interior shelf or cupboard pullouts were Never consistently cleaned;
6. Guests complained about hairs on bedsheets!;
5. Laundry was left in washing machine and dryer even though it was understood that this was a responsibility which had to be fulfilled; AND
6. THEY CANCELED ALL PREVIOUSLY AGREED TO CLEANING DATES (2 MONTHS-WORTH) WITHOUT A SUPPORTABLE REASON OR ANY NOTICE.
We had worked out a lot of kinks with the variety of staff that showed up to clean our Airbnb over the last number of months but the final straw was when they just cancelled their service on the bogus explanation that a contract had not been signed. If a contract had to be signed, then this would have happened a long time ago.
In Summary: DO NOT TRUST MEGAN'S MAIDS AROUND TOWN.....YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED..LOOK ELSEWHERE! -
I have had the absolute worst experience with this company. If I could have given then no stars, I would have. I am 6 1/2 months pregnant and my husband is gone training, since he is in the Marine Corps. I decided to take the load off of the moving process and hired this company for a move out cleaning. They did not finish the job. They weren't even close to finishing the job! When I scheduled, a man named Kurt told me that it's a 3 hour job. We scheduled the cleaning for 7 am, since my move out inspection was at 10:30 am. That's is 3 and 1/2 hours and they said that's all they need to finish the job. When the military housing lady and myself went to the house for the inspection, the entire downstairs was completely dirty. She only did the upstairs, which ONLY consists of 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Housing charged us $140 for a move out clean and $25 for not cleaning the fridge. On top of that, maids around town STILL charged me the FULL amount. Unfortunately, this company requires a card on file before the job is started. I contacted them, which they have TERRIBLE customer service, and they told me they will not give me a refund. The only thing they can do is come back to finish the job. I no longer have the keys, which housing has, and was already charged from housing. There was no way I can let them back in. They said that's all they can do and they will NOT give me a refund. Not even $1 back. This whole situation would have been handled if I would have gotten a refund. And this was the 'manager' that I spoke to, who repeatedly cut me off when I was voicing my concerns. Housing was even appalled that they didn't finish and told me to not give them any money. That if it even looked like they attempted the cleaning, we wouldn't have gotten charged. They did not complete the job they were hired, even though their website says "satisfaction guaranteed", which is obviously a complete lie. I was really hoping this company would have helped by taking some stress off the moving ordeal, but instead they created more stress than I need at this time. Save your time and money and do not even bother with this company.

I have the need to travel to San Diego on a regular basis for business reasons. Because of the frequency I have a secondary residence there. Keeping the place clean and in order is essential. I really don't have much time to do this myself.
This cleaning/maid service is excellent. I don't have to worry about my place being messy or out of order. They are reliable and perform stellar work at affordable prices. The staff is friendly, trustworthy and reputable.
Finding good cleaning services was more challenging than I anticipated. This service performed beyond my expectations. -
I really like Maids Around Town, despite the fact that they recently began to offer their services. I have been looking for people to clean my house for a very long time and finally i have found and I am very pleased with the way the workers work. They clean professionally and very well, they even use organic cleaning products and i am very happy with that because I am allergic to chemicals. The cleaners of this company working without unnecessary fuss and waste of the time, they are very friendly and they all have positive energy which is very important, I think... On my recommendation, two of my friends already had Maids Around Town and were also very satisfied with their work.
I want to note that the managements of this company, especially Megan Garcia, are very friendly, nice, attentive, polite, helpful and professional. Every time when you need something she always counts with your wishes and adjusts the work of cleaners to your schedule!
Big Thanks to all my cleaners !
Well done and great job Maids Around Town !!!
We wish your company Prosperity and Success!
Thank you ! -
We have been using maids around town for a while, the scheduling is always easy. I like that I can text to skip or reschedule when we need to.. We never worry if our 'favorite cleaner' is unavailable because everyone that has come out has been great.
The best part is my wife is always happy on the days she comes home and Maids Around Town was here.
I have recommended many of my neighbors and friends, and will continue to! -
Very happy with the work . She is really good at her trade.
-
Great service and on time. I would highly recommend them since we have been using them for years. We get them right after the rain ends to clean our windows and screens. Sklyer is great.
