It was a fast visit. They only had one person in paint department, so didn't get any help.

I went there today specifically for 1 gallon pots, and they were out. I therefore had to buy the next size larger for around a dollar more, but it also took more potting soil to fill the pots. :(

I go in regularly because they are getting new seasonal plants all the time. They are already stocking up for Spring planting before Christmas!

It is a fairly typical Home Depot garden center, but the employees here seem to be among the friendliest of the various locations. Don't forget to take a peek at the clearance rack, you never know what you might find!

Normally I love home Depot except when no one can find a toolbox they have on sale that's supposed to be in stock and can't find a single store that has it.
Then they tell you it's not even available in California even though they had one in stock last week.

From where we live in Escondido the two Home Depot’s are the same distance away - we visit this one every single time. The staff are fantastic, which makes me think the management is too. We have a positive experience every time we visit - so much so that I make a mental note of it. As a bonus, we can bring one of our dogs along.

Kowc (from the lumber department) was of -great- help for our many family home projects and took the time to listen to our needs and help us make them happen! Above customer service!

The garden center has been a positive experience for me. I find most of what I need and if I don’t it’s usually seeking something less brick and mortar and more custom.

I’m a repeat customer of Jeff Smith Landscape Assistance. I’ve had a French drain installed, paving stones to correct a patio that was installed against the weep screed and a retaining wall and new fencing. All projects were professionally addressed and supervised daily by Jeff. I would gladly recommend this company and intend to employ them again.

Let me start by saying we would not hesitate to highly recommend Landscape Assistance for your landscape needs. Everyone we interacted with including the owner Jeff, the office staff and daily crew, were professional, friendly and on top of executing our French landscape design. We are thrilled with the result!

After interviewing three other landscape contractors who wanted to change our plan/design to their ideas/design, we were delighted Jeff appreciated what we wanted to do in terms of hard and soft scapes and was enthusiastic about making it happen for us. It was enjoyable to bounce ideas around with Jeff for enhancing a few aspects of the project, as well as his wealth of experience and knowledge with plants to ensure our proposed plant selection was appropriate for our climate, soil and nibbling critters in our area.

Jeff schedules his crew with the same project Lead and basically the same crew, depending upon what work is being done each day, to arrive on site in a timely manner each morning. The crew is friendly and easy to work with and courteous to leave the job site neat at the end of each day. They provided a daily project detail/payment timeline for each week, in advance, which made it easy for us to know what to expect. Jeff stopped by the site every day to ensure details were followed or any tweaks we wanted to make were made in a timely manner.

I was referred to Jeff Smith Landscape Assistance by my business partner. She and her husband had used them for a project in their backyard, including a fire pit and built in BBQ. They loved the work that was done by Jeff and his team. We were exploring options for a large project for our side yard, which included a pool and a sloping hill, and figured we'd inquire with them on ideas for the area. We reached out to Paco Segura, who works for Jeff in a sales capacity.

Paco met with us at our home, and spent over an hour discussing our wants, and surveying the property. He had some ideas and suggestions that we had not considered, and told us he'd need couple weeks to create a landscape plan if we decided to proceed. After about 3 weeks, Paco presented an amazing plan that included multiple retaining walls, hardscape, landscape, and a swimming pool (which was subcontracted to Taylor-Made Pools). We loved the plan, but were concerned about the cost. We knew it would be expensive if we wanted to do all of the proposed work, so we worked with Paco to scale back the project to be more manageable. We were able to agree on the changes, and awarded the work to Jeff and his team.

The original scope of work was estimated at about 4.5 months. The crew started in late March, with an estimated completion date of August 15.

On the first day of the project, Jeff showed up to the job with the plans, and we walked the project to make sure we were on the same page. They started work, and I was amazed at the speed in which they worked, and the progress that was made day to day.

Throughout the construction process, Jeff and/or Paco were in direct communication with me, and updating us with any changes of scope and/ or amendments. As you can imagine, on a project of this size, there were unforeseen issues, but Jeff, Paco, and crew clearly communicated those to us, as well as how they would affect the budget (change orders), and timelines as well. The change orders came over timely when they were identified. Also, they provided me a progress payment schedule, which was helpful in budgeting for the project.

To our delight, the project was completed over a month early! Also, at the completion of the project, Jeff and I did a walk though, and I pointed out some finish items that needed to be addressed, or wasn't happy with. Jeff made detailed notes, and immediately sent his crew over to correct those issues.

Overall, we are extremely happy with our new, beautiful yard. Jeff and Paco, and their crew, exceeded our expectations.......it came out better than we imagined. We're happy to recommend these folks for your future outdoor project.............as soon as we find some more money, we'll be calling them for more work!

We reached out for a consult thinking it would be a good idea to get a quote and some ideas, but would probably do a home store job myself. The guys came by and did a live demo and frankly really surprised my wife and I. They created an economical plan that *really* transformed our front yard. It is super functional at night and looks awesome. We added a lot of value to our house. Job was completed quickly and with high standards.

Great team of tree trimmers. Very fast, friendly and did a great job of clean up. The fence under our pecan tree that was trimmed was also still in tact which was very important for us. We will be reaching out again for future tree trimming/removals.
