Fantastic selection of native plants.
It's a bigger location than it looks from the outside. Serenely organized into little sections, many with lovely water features.
Staff were kind and helpful. They let me try one of the red figs on their massive tree out front of the building. I'd never seen figs that grew on the trunk before.

I ordered an orange tree on Wednesday and they said it would be held for me in Will Call. They called on Thursday to say it was ready for pick up. I came to get it on Friday and they'd sold it. Staff was apologetic.

They potted up the most beautiful planter and delivered it to my Dad after a recent loss. They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond for me. Thank you so much for your kindness and help!

A great selection with a feature I really like, which is guidance about size, soil and sun requirements for each of the plants. It made our job a thousand times easier, knowing what would work in our dry landscape. We had questions about an unusual tree and we were given a great amount of info and we were very impressed.

Fantastic staff, they'll help you find what you need even if you don't know what you want. I went there right before quarentine and the associate gladly helped me picking out a few roses. Now as for the roses themselves, they are absolutely beautiful! They bloomed 1st season they were planted and look/smell amazing! If you're looking for some color or something a little different, definitely check them out! You will not be disappointed 👍🏻

stopped by El Plantio Nursery to pick up some potting soil for my mom, and once again I was reminded why this place has such a great reputation. The selection is fantastic, everything is organized, and you can tell they truly care about plants and the people who come in for them.

After I checked out, he didn’t hesitate to come around and help load the soil into my car. That kind of service is rare these days, and it absolutely makes a difference.

If you are looking for a nursery in Escondido near the Safari Park, you have to stop by El Plantio! The staff here are incredibly sweet and helpful. You can tell the entire place is kept with so much love—there are so many different sections to explore, from beautiful pottery to a massive variety of trees and shrubs.
The highlight of our visit was the checkout; they gifted my daughter and me strawberry plants to plant together at home. It was such a thoughtful gesture that turned a shopping trip into a core memory. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality plants and amazing customer service!

all of their chemicals pesticides herbicides are overpriced and diluted -- they wont process your resale permits, ... just go to home depot -- dont waste your time
