Top Notch took out three very large trees in my neighbors yard and trimmed my palm trees. Both of us couldn't be more satisfied. Darren's crew were right on time and did an excellent job. His prices were very competitive too!

We called Darren and he came out and gave the neighborhood a bid. We setup a time/date to come trim our trees. On the date, he never showed up. We called repeatedly and he never returned our call. We had to find another tree trimming service. I would only work with a reputable and responsible tree service company if you need the tree trimming.

Darren Delgado- Please respond to my calls that I have left for you. I sent you these pictures of my Canary Island Date Palms that you trimmed in February. They likely have the FATAL fungus disease Fusrium Wilt, which is transferred by tree cutting tools that haven't been cleaned. You said you would stop by to see them on May 5th, and I haven't heard from you since. As you can see, these were once beautiful trees, more than thirty years old. I can update this post once I hear from you.
I gave this a one star, otherwise, I would not be able to post.

Exceptional tree care service! From start to finish we were impressed. We had a variety of 10 palms, and a Bauhinia (Hong Kong Orchid Tree) trimmed. Some of the palms are over 20ft tall. We also had a Eucalyptus tree, two palm trees, and a 25-year-old, huge 10ft.x3ft Ficus hedge removed. Darren and his crew are friendly, professional, conscientious, fast and efficient. Loved working with Darren and his lead man Jr. We’ve had our tree's worked on numerous times in the last 10-years and no one has come close to the quality of work of Top Notch!

Darren and his small team did a wonderful job of removing a giant Canary Island Palm that Darren correctly diagnosed as being infested with an invasive beetle that was killing it. They also trimmed up my fence line and trimmed up 2 queen palms and two Mexican palms, all for a very reasonable price. They were quick, efficient and very careful to avoid all of my irrigation lines and other plants. All was done and cleaned up in one day. Darren was very pleasant and communicative. I would definitely recommend Top Notch Tree Care.

We have used this company for many years and have always been happy with the results. They are very organized to get the job done well, and everything is cleaned up the way it should be.

La Costa Tree Service & Maintenance hauled away some yard debris for me. They did a great job and were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent tree topping and lacing job on my pine trees, which is a difficult job at 50 feet up. Well run company, responsive, good prices, and on time. Highly recommend.

They did a great job removing a large dead tree and trimming my eucalyptus trees and palm trees and other smaller jobs. The price was very reasonable and they had a good size crew that worked very hard at it.

We paid well over $900 for them to trim my backyard, they arrived late, when I asked them to return to trim a tree that was blocking my satellite dish ( the main reason I called in the first place) they said they were busy and I should have been there for their “walk through “ .

They said they would contact me ; after one week I contacted them , after hearing nothing.(I actually referred my neighbor who also paid over $900 on the same day)
The job was just okay but beware if you find something later that wasn’t done .

Good luck with them coming back, I am tired of trying to get them back over here and told them to forget it , I will have someone else come over to finish it .

It’s not about the money, it’s about treating customers right, all of the communication after they got their money was rude and condescending.

Needless to say , I will not use this company again….

La Costa Tree Service did such a great job on my neighbors trees we asked if they could cut a few of ours and they did it the same day.

We found this company to be very professional in all aspects, through the bidding process, scheduling, timely completion of the task, care in conducting the work as contracted, and final cleanup. The work at our property was extensive, requiring specialized equipment to remove an enormous eucalyptus tree, trim a very large ficus tree and 50 feet of bamboo. The fact they are licensed and bonded was of importance to us, given the risks involved. Their bid was reasonable, below many others. They conducted themselves courteously and professionally. We plan to continue to hire them in the future.

About 6-8 months ago, Pedro installed some grass in my front yard. It's a small area, about 200 sq ft. They also had to relocate a few sprinkler heads. The next day one of the heads broke. They did come out later that week to fix. The grass looked good for about 1 month. I water regularly and used the recommended fertilizer. The real problem is my grass is now dying. After various calls/text over the last month, Pedro advised he would come out and look......nothing to date, now he will not return my calls. I decided to hire True Green to see what they can do. The tech came out today and advised that they installed the wrong grass in my front yard!! rye grass and it looks horrible. its a cold weather grass....we live in San Diego!! WTH.....Fun times!!

Hired Pedro and crew to cut down 12 Eucalyptus trees. His price was great, they got the job done the next day, and did great work. Have used him twice now - both times were great experiences.Will use him again. Highly recommend his company.

Had Pedro and the La Costa team come out once again to clean up our 60 year old overgrown trees and take out a few dead ones including grinding down the stumps. I must say that they are all business. They came and just flat out knocked the job out as promised. No hidden costs, just an honest estimate which was spot on. Our trees look great once again, and I look forward to using Pedro and His service to do more work for us in the future. They are absolute professionals that I will recommend to everyone I know.

Pedro, Andrea and team came in May to remove some live oak bushes and to cut some branches on our very old very big live oak. Pedro gave good advice on what should be done and Andrea stayed with the team to ensure exactly what we wanted was carried out. Garden was cleaned really well before they left. When a few live oaks started sprouting again. Pedro came out immediately to sort them out. I would recommend this company and will be asking them back. :-)

If there were ten stars I would give them to La Costa Tree Service! I called for an estimate through Angi's service and La Costa Tree Service called immediately. In fact, they were the first to call from Angi's service. Their estimate beat all others I received from reputable tree removal services and their professionalism and punctuality outshined the others too. They show up when they tell you they will. They removed three large Juniper trees, some deeply rooted Birds of Paradise and dramatically trimmed down some way overgrown Honeysuckle hedges. They completed the work in a few hours, grinding all the stumps and leaving everything as clean as it was when they started. They even moved an empty plastic shed for us at no extra charge. We are requesting more estimates from this wonderful, reliable, and economical service on concrete, fencing and retaining wall repair. Such an awesome family business with Pedro and Andrea working as a team along with their crew. I highly recommend them. No need to look further than La Costa Tree Service for your landscape and outdoor needs!

Just hired Pedro to do 20 queen palms, 10 Mexican palms for a very good price. I had interview other companies for estimates and Pedro gave me the best reasonable estimate I could ever get. Highly recommend. Great people, very polite and punctual. The team was very cautious with my property and the area around. La Costa Tree Service & Maintenance Inc. is licensed so I was very calm about the big work done.

I so appreciate the crew of La Costa. Fast, thorough, excellent. Had a Monday appt., they called Saturday with an opening, were there on 10 minutes, done trimming a couple of palms and cleaned up in an hour and a half. This is the third time I've used them for a variety of trees. Good pricing. Two thumbs up!!!
