I have a beautiful Chinese elm in my front yard that requires specialized maintenance. I spoke with Paul, the original owner and operator, who relayed my needs to his son, Luke. Within a week, the Tree Barber crew was on-site trimming my elm. They made sure the area was secure and took precautions to prevent any falling limbs from damaging my roof or home.

I now have Tree Barber return every six months to maintain the trees on my property. They ensure the trees grow back healthy and prevent any potential damage to my home or landscaping.

Absolutely superior service! Paul worked with me to meet around my crazy schedule, walked me though his recommendations and provide a very detailed estimate for the work with notes of our concerns and desired outcome. He and his crew showed on time and were very professional and once complete they cleaned up all trimmings, one could hardly tell they were there other than three perfectly pruned trees. The work was performed as promised and at the rate quoted. I would recommend Tree Barbers for all of your tree maintenance needs.

I've used Paul and his team at Tree Barber for over 10 years trimming my trees for my home in San Marcos. The work is high quality, and they always show up on time. We have several queen palms, pines and pepper trees and the quality of their work shows.

Paul listened to what I wanted done and made some suggestions that I had not considered. No upselling or pressure which was refreshing. He is very knowledgeable and is willing to educate his customers. His team was courteous and took care to not damage the surrounding plants. They did a great job cleaning up as well. Shout out to The Tree Barber in North County San Diego! They came by today and did a sensational job trimming our trees. The highlight of the visit was chatting with Luke Rider, an amazing arborist who shared his extensive knowledge. I learned so much about the trees in my backyard—from their care and lifespan to the best times for trimming!

Paul and his team did an excellent job! They cut down a very large Podocarpus tree and ground the stump in a very tight area between the fence and the house. They also trimmed a few other trees. Paul’s insight as a professional arborist was very helpful and their entire team was very professional. Highly recommend!

Tree Barber is the best horticulturalist that we've used for over many years (we've been here 37 years). They are so knowledgeable, informative, and take excellent care of ALL of our trees. They are very sensitive to preserving the life of a tree, its health, and how we can best take care of them. In addition, they are very nice to work with and are very kind people. Good experience. Not cheap, but it was a difficult job. Dealing with Paul Rider was enjoyable, the team showed up on time (Paul arrived earlier to make sure things were set up for the work to begin), they got to work and did an incredible amount of work and finished far sooner than seemed possible. Most of my big tree work is now taken care of, but if it were otherwise, I would certainly use this outfit again.

I’ve been using Tree Barber for years now, and Paul, Luke, and their crew are the best! They go out of their way to provide top-notch service, e.g. when I had a Monterey Pine pruned, I was told to let my neighbor know ahead of time. But on the day that the work was done, Luke went over to the neighbor’s property before he did anything else and covered their patio and plants. I also highly recommend having Paul come out for consultation service if you have ailing trees. That was how I started using Tree Barber. I was shocked one day to see that the canopy of a couple of trees were yellow and withering, so naturally, I panicked ;-) and called some tree services and arborists to come out and look at the trees. Unfortunately what I was being told and the suggestions offered were not in line with my own research. Paul was the last arborist to come out, and he nailed it! Now the trees are thriving again. He came out this week for a consultation because I had concerns about two trees. Paul checked out those trees and also walked the property looking at everything. This is a very educational experience, and I always learn a lot from Paul.

I had my mimosa tree trimmed. Paul did a fantastic job. He was very careful to trim just enough while keeping the shape in mind. He is a true tree artist!

Tree Barber trimmed and treated various trees around our house today. I am thrilled with the results! In particular two mature olive trees that had essentially become barren and lifeless due to disease had shown some promise with new shoots from the base. Paul and Luke shared that they are seeing this a lot and knew just what to do. They cut the lifeless part out and artistically shaped our olives into new trees! New life! And a new and much improved look for our landscape! I highly recommend their services.

Paul ( the Tree Barber) did an excellent job trimming and pruning our avocado trees and a bougainvillea in our yard. He left everything very neat and tidy. He gives excellent

I have been using Tree Barber for years for tree trimming and tree removal at my home and a rental property. Paul, Luke and their entire crew are so helpful and professional. The Tree Barber crew did a beautiful job taking out a 70’ + fir tree and cleaning out the remaining two. They cleaned everything up and even trimmed an overgrown hedge. We highly recommend them and would use them again.

This is the second time we've used Tree Barber for our tree trimming and removal services. They came highly recommended, and because we were happy with the work they did the first time, we called them back.

Paul came out for the quote, and Luke and his crew did the actual work. The workers were prompt, efficient, and did a wonderful job of removing 4 trees and trimming our favorite tree (pictured.) They also put in some extra work that we didn't really ask them to do and left our grounds cleaned up and neatened.
