incredible experience all the way around. We have a home in sunridge meadows near el dorado hills that fivestar landscape decked out. Our home had a swimming pool that was done in the early 2000's which was lacking some serious curb appeal around it. Our backyard was just a concrete slab and a pool... it worked but pretty boring.

We met with Fivestar and from the gates loved their ideas. We now have a super lush and vibrant front yard as well as an incredible outdoor living space. The guys put in an outdoor kitchen along with some massive planters with stunning flowers and lush greenery.

We are extremely excited to say the least.

I was excited when Stan came to look at my property and he had some great ideas. However, after multiple phone calls and texts he never followed through with an estimate. He also took my plans with him saying he would copy and return them the same day. He did not return them for 10 days and after multiple texts to do so. If I could give no stars I would. Totally undependable.

The end product and the work itself was great. We are really pleased with how our yard turned out. But the communication from the front office and how they handled little things was extremely slow and frustrating. I will likely not be doing business with them again, because the lack of communication was that bad. Their response time to problems was anything but timely.

These guys were really friendly and professional. They listened to my needs and gave me what I wanted according to my budget. They designed a beautiful landscape, incorporating most of my suggestions, and I couldn’t be happier with the final product. Highly recommended!

Five star was easy to get ahold of and the staff seemed very eager to help and they also seemed just as excited as we were to start our design process. We met with myrah.. After meeting, we were then given our first set of designs. We made a few revisions and then the following week, they started the installation. The crew was super polite and friendly, they also cleaned the yard up the best they could each day. They really treated our yard as if it were their own. It was such a relief knowing they really cared.

After everything was said and done, the guys took the time to walk us around the yard and explain each plant, what they do in certain seasons, and how they react to changing weather. It was a serious lesson in horticulture. lol. Anyway, we are totally enjoying our new yard and how everything came together. So much better than what we had before. A++++

I was looking for a professional company to build my outdoor kitchen. My cousin recommended FiveSTAR Landscape. I contacted them, and they gave me an estimate. They worked as per my suggestions. I was stunned by the final look of my outdoor kitchen, and they did an excellent job.

UPDATE: received a call from the owner who was very apologetic! He will be out to provide an estimate next week which is all I asked for in the beginning. Thank you very much and I will update my review after our appointment on Wednesday.

I have been on the calendar for several weeks to a month and they called me the day before my appointment to try to get me to pay for their design. I tried to let him know that I was getting other quotes and would pay for the design once I decided who to go with. Steve was unprofessional on the phone so I cancelled and will be moving on to a bigger better company. Btw I will probably be spending close to $20,000 based on previous estimates so they definitely lost out on some money!

This company did a complete front and backyard transformation for us, including installing an outdoor kitchen, firepit, and several water features. They completed the entire project on time and budget. I would recommed Five Star Landscape to anyone without hesitation.

This review is based only on my initial consultation with this company, the follow up appointment and the subsequent lack of communication and dependability. My initial consultation with FiveStar was on 11/16/2021. Edgar was our project manager/consultant. He was very kind and eager, giving us great ideas for our front yard remodel. At the end of our discussion, he mentioned that he forgot his measuring device, and had to come back for measurements. I collected his email, reiterated that he could stop by anytime for measurements and sent him photos of ideas of how we envision our walkway. I made sure to cc FiveStar on this email as well. I received no communication. On, 12/1/2021 (I figured it was a hectic holiday season for all of us), I emailed Edgar and Fivestar inquiring whether he had already taken the measurements, and if I should be waiting on an estimate, etc. Edgar called and apologized. He stated he completely forgot. Understandable. He came out and took measurements and we rediscussed some ideas. He stated that for his error, Fivestar would connect us to their landscape design team at no charge, especially to help with our plant selection. My main concern at that time, however, was when to expect my estimate for a wooden walkway. I made sure to try to put Edgar at ease, reiterating that I am not in a rush on the work, but would like communication as to when to expect my estimate. Edgar insisted that the estimate would be finished by the following afternoon (despite me asking if 2 weeks was a reasonable expectation). I trusted that he knew his schedule and was dependable. Today is Jan 22, 2022. I have yet to receive any form of communication from Edgar or the Fivestar team. I have no estimate and no communication regarding an estimate. Conveniently, they have not communicated by email either, which I previously wouldn't have thought twice about, but now makes me skeptical of their professionalism.
I held off writing this review to give Fivestar the benefit of the doubt as this is a stressful time for all of us (I work in healthcare so I understand the burnout and pressure everyone is under). Nonetheless, my review is warranted. I subcontracted our upstairs remodel and they gave us an estimate, kept us in communication and gave us a timeline on work. Our windows subcontractor told us we would have to wait until April, however, all the legwork to that point is completed, and they are happily paid. Our general contractor is fantastic. I understand that I'm not your only costumer, and I'm in no rush - I just wish I had a better experience with your company - a front yard and backyard remodel from me would have been great business for you. I hope this review serves to motivate your company to improve your professionalism and I wish you the best of luck. A
