I have a new construction home where front and back yard needed to be done. I called Black Diamond and Matt came over. I told him what's my idea and the materials I want. Then he already had the whole picture how it's going to be. It's nice and easy to work with Matt. I texted him anytime and he would reply to me ASAP. He also send me pictures to know the progress. I really appreciated his crews, Sergio, working with fast pace and clean. It turns out amazingly. Thank you so much for Matt and his crews!

We really wanted to love Black Diamond after reading such great reviews and seeing photos of their work, but for us, customer satisfaction doesn't just come from the job looking nice - it's the entire experience including cost, communication, time, professionalism, how the company addresses issues, etc. Unfortunately, the people we worked with fell short in many of these areas, which drew out the simple job longer than necessary. We had all sorts of problems from the polymeric sand not being put down properly (which looked sloppy) to water hammer from the PSI being set too high in the irrigation system (which can cause significant damage/leaks to pipes), and we often had to contact them repeatedly to have someone fix things because the job wasn't properly monitored or inspected for quality in the first place - our checks were just collected and we were told "we should be good" (mistake on our part for giving them the final check before ensuring the job was totally completed with no issues, but good thing we are proactive people who stayed on them to fix things). We hired a smaller private landscaper to finish the areas of our yard that we couldn't afford BD for (or that they don't do, such as a concrete walkway) and not only did they charge significantly less but we had zero issues with their work, which makes a larger, more expensive company like BD look bad in comparison. We literally paid them an amount that would've purchased a brand new Hyundai Elantra or Honda Civic (I know because we own both) yet the smaller company outshined them and only charged about 30% of the price for comparable work. I've read other reviews mentioning the same people we worked with at BD that seem to be the opposite of our experience, and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with how much a customer spends as we were told from the beginning that our job is small for them and if it would've cost a little less they wouldn't have even accepted it. If that's the case it's a shame, because while the amount we spent may seem insignificant to them it took us quite a while to save it and we expected it to stretch farther than it did, especially since we got much more for our money with the private company. I have also seen BD's BBB complaints, which I recommend checking out before hiring them since we did have some of the same issues that others took to the BBB for help. The light at the end of the tunnel is the paver warranty, I suppose. Our yard does look beautiful which is why we are giving three stars, but for the price we paid versus what we actually received, we don't feel it was worth all the trouble. Overall we would not recommend Black Diamond.

We are very happy with our new patio that was completed by Black Diamond. Chris and Oscar made sure the job was done correctly. The workers were very professional and neat. The job site was left neat and clean every day. We feel the price was competitive. We would recommend them to others.

I highly recommend this company if you want it done correctly, on time, and with a warranty. Chris, was very accommodating and knows how to keep you happy. He’s very professional and prompt with his work. He is very detailed and knows what needs to be done. With all of the questions my husband and I had, he was able to fulfill and more to accommodate our concerns. He is very responsive with any questions you have during and before the project. Furthermore, Chris and his company was the only company that gave us an estimate on the same visit with design plans, that’s amazing! Oscar’s crew was astonishing. They were able to remove a very large piece of concrete without any heavy machinery; since the concrete is right next to a pool. They worked fast and accommodated all of our concerns. One of my major concern was the drainage in the back yard. Oscar and Chris told me exactly where the water will go and showed what elements will be installed. Chris and Oscar are very good at what they do. They are both professional and will keep their customers happy. I’m glad they did our front yard, backyard and both side yards. Yes, we came back to Chris to add more projects. We added 2 more projects during the 1st project.

Even after the whole project was done, Chris and Oscar’s crew came back to accommodate our concerns. They did an awesome job in accommodating our needs. Highly recommend this company if you have the extra money to spend on professionalism, quality and warranty! Thank you Chris and Oscar for a wonderful experience; you guys did a fantastic job with our landscape. My family and I can now enjoy and relax with a lovely view. Thanks again. We will definitely contact this company again for future projects.

We just bought our new home and wanted to have our backyard the way we wanted. We had an idea and showed Chris. He tried to give us what we wanted but since we are not designers, he made some recommendations and explained why he thought it would be better. And he was absolutely correct. His redesign was simple, neat, and gave us a more beautiful and usable space. He was there from planning to completion and his crew did a fantastic job. Our backyard looks so much nicer than we ever imagined.

Our home was overgrown with shrubs and plants and we are surrounded by neighbors with beautifully landscaped yards. We called Black Diamond and asked them to send out someone for a free assessment. They sent out Chris Murray, who helped us from that very first visit through the final day. He helped us put together a plan that included a great horticulturist and wonderful onsite workers. The actual job took only four days and Chris was in touch and often on-site to direct the process When we had a question, he responded within the hour. We can’t say enough about the customer service received. The best part- we love the results.

Black Diamond has been amazing in regards to helping us create a beautiful landscape for our little backyard. We bought a new house with just dirt. Nothing exciting about that! We wanted to expand our living space so our son had a place to play and enjoy the outdoors. We were lucky enough to meet Chris Murray who not only designed a beautiful and functional space, but he went above and beyond with his time, availability, and follow through to make sure that not only that the job was done, but that it was done well. I was very picky about a few things and he acknowledged and addressed. No complaints. He takes customer service to the next level. Our backyard was previously a mud pit but Chris Murray and his team turned it into a beautiful yard. He was very patient and helpful during the design phase and came daily to make sure everything was done as we envisioned and with perfect quality. The work crew was efficient and nice and went the extra mile to provide perfect drainage. We had a few rainstorms already and had no flooding whatsoever. The process was quick, easy and professional, and we couldn't have ask for a better experience. My wife and I highly recommend Black Diamond and Chris specifically!

For years we could never determine what to do with an area of dead space in our back yard. After clearing an old shed and dead trees, it just became an inbetween space of weird old cement patch work, weeds, and a holding ground for items we intended to toss. Finally we took the plunge for change and found Black Diamond pavers. Immediately we worked with Matt who came out to review the area and help us see vision in a place we lost vision ourselves. They moved quick and our yard literally transformed into a new usable space(so much room for activities!) With a new walkway leading to it. In a space we thought shapeless and oddly slopped, black Diamond was able to create a beautiful paver patio, blending seamlessly around our orange tree, lawn, shed, and garden space. We had consistently check ins and dicussions along the way helping with transparency and progression of the work. Black Diamond went above and beyond what we had originally envisioned, inclusive of drainage for longevity of our space. Highly recommend!

After some thorough research I found Black Diamond Pavers and after our first consult with Matt, I was thrilled and excited to see the envision we had come to life in the next 3 week span.

Matt was friendly, kind, professional and mostly importantly to me was someone I can communicate with to walk me through the process and keep me updated on how it is all going. He made himself available and was on at my house whenever I needed him to be and even when I didn’t lol.

My husband and I are extremely happy with our new driveway and walkway. Matt, the Project Manager, was very attentive and everything was done exactly as promised. Sergio, the Foreman, was excellent. He and his crew worked very hard. We were impressed by how quickly and efficiently the job was completed. We highly recommend them.

This is our first time having to landscape. So we are totally unaware of everything that has to do with landscaping. Of course like many others we are on a budget. Knowing that, to landscape our backyard we anticipated it to be pricey. Also because this is our first house we wanted something worth looking at, something that will last. And something that would bring value to the home if we choose to sale it in the future. We knew that going with concrete is quick, easy and somewhat inexpensive. But on the other hand, it will crack, not appealing and difficult to resolve if planned to remove. So my wife and I made a couple of calls and got some quotes. We made an appointment for Chris Murray because he had so many great reviews. Long story short, he's very efficient, organized, knowledgeable and plenty of experience in this field. What's great is that he's not their for your money, I mean he is but his main goal is to meet your expectations and to work with what budget you may have. He will squeeze and optimize your budget to its fullest potential. So we went with pavers since it's more desirable and everything else that comes with it. Chris was here almost everyday to touch base with the crew to make sure everything comes out the way you want it to be. The process was fast and seamless! Price was great and with a discount too. We came to know about this company from a friend. My friend had his backyard done and it came out beautifully. I never really thought about having pavers installed until I saw my friend's backyard.

Chris Murray was our contact person. He was friendly and I was impressed that he even gave a presentation about the company and what they were about. I already had a design in mind and Chris helped make that design into reality.

My whole backyard initially cost almost 25k which we were able to negotiate. My husband called Chris and asked if there was some way that he could lower the price after we had already signed the contract. Chris said that if we removed the weeds in the yard that he could take a couple grand off the final price which we were more than happy to oblige.

I liked that he checked on the crew that did our yard on a daily basis on site. He made sure that everything was up to par and that everything was moving along as it should be. My whole backyard took about seven working days to complete. It was actually faster as the proposed time would have been 2 weeks. The father and son that did the actual work on my yard was amazing. I have only good words to say about Santos and Callisto. They were efficient, friendly, hard working and they knew what they were doing.

I have recommended the company to my neighbor and to my friends. So if you are looking to get pavers done for your yard, then this is the company to hire.

Last year I worked with the Black Diamond Landscape company to landscape my backyard with positive results. This year I contacted them again to landscape my old front yard and driveway. Mathew worked with me to address problem areas and to make suggestions for improving the curb appeal.
All my expectations have come to fruition. They built an amazing stone retaining wall, an extra large paver driveway, flower beds and walkways. I especially like the shade trees and flower bushes that were selected. My 1958 house has received a beautiful facelift, I am very happy, and the neighbors are amazed.
