Constraction reviews in Fairfield, California

Black Diamond created a fabulous, top notch backyard for us! They worked with great skill in creating the paver design and seating walls. The work was done efficiently and respectfully, and the cleanup was timely and thorough. Project Design lead Matt was super responsive and led us through the process with ease, helping guide us into choosing just the right elements to create a backyard oasis we look forward to enjoying for years to come.

Matt and his team have just completed our backyard renovation and the result is splendid. The entire work took only 4 days despite the difficult weather these last days. They have done in less than a week the work that I would have done in months because I can spend only my weekend on it. And they took care of the volume of mulch removed, something that I cannot do myself easily. All the process has been flawless from the quote process to the final completion. We recommend this company. I added two pics : before and after.

We moved into a brand new home with absolutely nothing in the backyard. When we finally got around to landscaping, it was clear from the companies we met with that Black Diamond was the most professional and reliable choice, hands down. Our high expectations continued to be met, and were exceeded, by Chris Murray and everyone at Black Diamond. Thanks to a cancellation, our project was started the day after we signed the contract -- talk about fast! The job itself went quickly and smoothly, even finishing a day earlier than expected. Chris was accessible throughout the whole process and stopped by on more than one occasion.

In the end, our simple backyard design turned out even better than I had hoped and I'm glad we trusted Black Diamond with our project. I would definitely hire them again for any future projects we might have.

I’m so happy I decided to hire this team again! I’m a repeat customer having worked with Matt twice now. About a year ago they did my back yard retaining walls and I was so pleased with it that I reached out to them again to help build my patio. I am very pleased to have worked with Matthew and Charles. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and work ethic are top notch. Things were fast and efficient and well done and they really went above and beyond what was expected. Will be seeing them again!

Matt and Sergio from Black Diamond did an amazing job for my wife and I with our backyard. We had a new build with empty backyard lot and they helped turn it into something beautiful. They were very efficient, responsive, and professional throughout the entire project and worked with us to get everything just the way we envisioned! Their paver work and landscaping are exceptional, we would use them again for any future projects.

We recently had some pavers and lawn installed in our backyard. The crews working were always professional and cleaned up after themselves, which was very much appreciated. I appreciated the design input that Matt (our project manager) gave us during the process as he gave us a few things to think about that we hadn’t thought of and the end product ended up being better than I would’ve come up with. We did have one minor hiccup that boiled down to a communication misunderstanding and Matt helped us work through that and it worked out fine. I appreciated how Matt reached out to work through this issue as some contractors might be stubborn about it or say it was our fault; in this case both parties realized that it was just a misunderstanding and we worked through it. I really appreciate the extra effort Matt put into resolving this for us. For that, a 5 star review is appropriate in itself. But the fact I love the look of the pavers and the job was completed within the time frame anticipated also warrants a good review. We had a couple of minor rain delays but only Mother Nature is to blame for that, lol. I would use Black Diamond again in the future and would also recommend them to family and friends.

We recently did a simple project with new sod for the front yard and a refurbished planter. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and worked with us on what we wanted, plus offering suggestions as to layout, plants, etc. The crew that came in to do the work was efficient and friendly. They were in and out in two days and cleaned up better than it was before! I would recommend Black Diamond Paver Stones and Landscape.

We had a project to get rid of some shrubs so we could extend our front porch and also widen our driveway. We had planned to use concrete, but after discussing the alternative of pavers, we thought it would be more visually appealing.

Black Diamond was able to start our job earlier than estimated, and the work was completed within the time estimated. Matt checked in with us daily; there were a few on the fly decisions and adjustments along the way.

After completion, there were a few minor issues that needed to be addressed. Matt ensured they got taken care of promptly and to our satisfaction.

We are extremely pleased with the results. We smile every time we walk out our front door.
