Freedom Forever noticed our panels weren't producing, I didn't even know it. They reached out to me. Gerardo, the technician, came quickly, was very patient with my questions and got the panels up and running again.

Incompetent--avoid at all costs. These people will sign you up for solar and take a loan out even if you cancel, then you'll be on the hook to pay the loan. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE.

I cancelled my project with FF in July, 2023. Today, 12 months later, I learned they failed to cancel the project in their system. I spoke with four different reps who said it was cancelled, yet they are unable to let the lender (Mosaic) know, and Mosaic is unable to cancel the loan until FF confirms the project is cancelled. Moses, Ronda, Diego, Shila, Ochun (the "supervisor") and Nick have all confirmed the project is cancelled, but are unable and unwilling to inform Mosaic.

I've submitted complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and am working with an attorney to sue them for breach of contract and potentially fraud.

My solar system has not been functioning for a month. When I call the company they say they will reach out to the local branch to put me on the schedule for repairs. To date, I have not been contacted going though this method. When I finally got them to come out, the technician told me their modem is 3g and no longer compatible with AT&T. I was also told that other people are having the same issue. Freedom has not come up with a solution so I am not getting the solar we paid for. This company is costing me a lot of money in PG&E charges. Their regional manager must think he is too good to call me back. I have requested a call several times. A company technician was on the phone with him at my home and asked the manager to call me. I have not received a call. Apparently a customer is not worth a telephone call! Customers beware, this company is not up with the technical requirements of the times.

A truck showed up to my house. Not sure if the app has a notification function but no heads up for this pop-up. Ezequiel informed me that the system prompt for this visit, which is fine but no heads up from anyone. Ezequiel completed replacing the box. He was polite and was able to provide all answers to the questions I had, since I wasn't aware of this visit until he pulled up to my house. 5 🌟's for Ezequiel.

I didn't even know there was something wrong with my system. I just so happen to not look at it. My kids usually have my phone to watch videos and I guess the swiped the notification. Anyway the monitoring department and Jonathan showed up and took care of everything. I was notified before hand they were coming and what issues were there. Jonathan informed me what was replaced and what work and all I had to do was answer the door! Great service!

Updated to 3 stars thanks to Leslie for being proactive and having my reimbursement checks sent to me immediately as well as following up with the process. Panels have been finally approved after 4 long months and now we’re waiting for PTO. Just waiting for things to be completely complete and hopefully working without any issues 🤞.

At first everything seemed to be good, appointments were made quickly and everything seemed to be on time. In July 2022 had the panels installed, a month after had inspection and failed due to the company not giving the correct plans. I’ve already paid 3 months towards these non-operational panels and was told I would be reimbursed but I have not seen 1 dime! Fast forward to November 2022 and still have not heard any updates. I’ve sent several emails with no responses, had to follow up though phone call and just keep getting the runaround. This experience has been very unpleasant and unprofessional.

Poor customer Service. I have had Freedom Forever for 5 years and 4 of the 5 years I have had a problem with my system not producing. The company is supposed to monitor production. They some how missed the fact that half my solar pannels have not been working for over a year. When I called the company to inform them they tried to pass the blame to solar edge and told me I would need to wait upto an additional 2 weeks before they would fix it.

January 12, 2021 I signed up with freedom forever it was the worst mistake of my life. After one month and $1000 deposit they determined they could not install my solar system on my 60 x 40 commercial sheet metal shop. The reason for not being able to install the system was the steel trusses were too thick for them to drill through. Later I got a call from the manager saying that they just weren’t comfortable installing the solar system on the sheet metal roof because they were not experienced in that type of install. That’s fair enough I told him I wish they would’ve just been honest with me upfront but no hard feelings. Now I was wondering when I might get my thousand dollars back. Around February 25 I called and asked when I would see my thousand dollar deposit and they said they had processed it and it should be going out soon. End of March I still hadn’t seen my deposit so I made another phone call and they gave me the exact same story I explain to them that when they needed the money for the deposit I sent it right away now they can’t do the work and they don’t want to send my money back this is not fair. they promised they would get it out right away. It is now April 7 and I still have not seen the money returned. I called again today and they gave me the same story to say the least I was not very happy. Asked to talk to a manager or someone in charge and they said there was no one to talk to I believe this is a fraudulent company and I will probably never get back my money. I sure hope no one else ever trust this company not only do they not stand by their word they don’t even know how to install a simple solar system.

Terrible service, called in to have them fix the batteries and it took them 5 weeks to come out here and get the problem fixed. A few minutes after the batteries were fixed and then I noticed that my home was consuming almost over 14 Kw at a time. Usually my home uses about a 3 to 4 kw. a few minutes later I called the tech that fixed them and his response was that “everything looks good on my end theres nothing i can do, please call the office”. I called the office and now i have to wait another week to get a date of when they can send someone to fix the issue. I included pictures of my usage the day before and after the tech came by.

They are VERY unprofessional. You can't ever get a hold of anyone. They say we will call you back with an update and never do. We have been waiting over 5 months to turn on the panels and nothing. We were told a pannel upgrade was needed but that nobody had to be home because nothing would be done on the inside when we were first contacted and we decided to remodel the garage and when the day came they actually needed to do work inside so now we have all these ugly wires all over the walls it's so ugly to look at. Had we know we would have waited so they could run them through the inside. They tell you one thing and do another. Do not recommend at all. Save your money and time and go with a different company. They are definitely the worst.

My partner and I have worked in the solar industry for 4 years. I worked in management an he worked on the installation end. We have both heard that freedom forever was a bad company to buy from. I purchased a home that has a system on it already that is only 2 years old. I took over the loan when purchasing the home. I would not have done business with this company personally but I really wanted the home. The sale went through in October but I guess there is a complete disconnect with them an there financing. Escrow sent all paperwork to sunlight as well as freedom forever. I assumed all was taken care of until my system stopped working in March an they would not assist me. I sent all necessary documents an that took forever to just have my name in there system as the new owner. It’s been 2 months an they are moving tremendously slow. Luckily solar edge let us know the inverter was out so I was able to get a ticket in for a technician to come in an repair it. I haven’t received any answer on when they will be coming out. It is approaching 3 digits an my true up is going to be ridiculous because of the screw up. Freedom Forever needs to take some accountability and fix this issue asap. I will continue to let everyone know not to do business with this company. I should have listened or worked out a better deal while closing on my home to atleast make this less painful.

This project has been in the works since July 2024. It is May 2025 and it’s still not completed. They also had to reposition my panels which was going to lead to a decrease in productivity. That’s not what I signed up for and believe this is a breach of contract. Sales rep and project manager are useless

Followed by the best crew I’ve been around to install the panels, inverters and batteries. Very professional. Paid attention to detail, and was accommodating with my unique/picky request’s. Truly feel that Adonis and the entire ‘the boys’ crew treated my home as if it were their own. Would highly recommend.

Solar installed with this company in November of 2019. Salesman was quite a schmooze, we were told our system was being "overestimated" by at least 10% and that we would have a battery and savings would be unbelievable. Goal was to "break even" each year. Well the system has not produced adequate energy for the last 5 years, this last year's true up bill was $6k , the first 3 years our systems antenna wasn't working and while the company replaced when I complained, it STILL does not work. I also didn't ever get that "battery" installed. 35k later, I have a system that does not work. Company will not rectify the situation, does not reimburse for "underperforming" despite what we were told at signing. Our home is old, no central AC or pool, and yet we manage to pay about $600/mo for electricity plus the cost of the panels ($199/mo) when I can figure out how to sue this SCAM company I will. RUN! DONT SIGN WITH THESE FRAUDSTERS!!! They will leave you high and dry and then ignore your calls for help and refer you to their "no savings clause" in which their contract says they won't reimburse you for underperforming, not do they guarantee you will save $$ on electricity. What a joke. SCAM!

DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! INSTALLED SOLAR PANELS BUT CREATED A LEAK THAT CAUSED MY WALL TO BREAK DOWN AND GROW BLACK MOLD! I REACHED OUT AND HAVE BEEN GETTING IGNORED FOR TWO MONTHS NOW! NO CALLS NO MESSAGES !! UNPROFESSIONAL!! TRUST I WISH I COULD DO 0 STARS , I NEED MY HOUSE FIXED!

Update*** 5 years in- they have NOT ADDRESSED ANY ISSUES OFFERED ANY SOLUTIONS. 25 calls, at least 25 emails, no meaningful response except to tell me that "we understand you frustration" and that they cannot "guarantee or imply savings" also cannot explain why this crap system doesn't have a battery pack as promised or why I pay 3-5x more a month now.
DO YOUR RESEARCH! DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!
THEY WILL NOT ASSIST WITH YOUR ISSUES AND THEN SAY THEY "RESOLVED" This company is awful, I wish I'd never met them or had the misfortune of dealing with them. Nothing but problems, insane costs and REGRET HERE!

I had a very disappointing experience with Freedom Forever and Michael Thomas II. Michael met with my husband and me to discuss solar options and promised that by installing new panels and using a PPA, we would no longer owe PG&E except for connection fees. He also assured us that the new system would generate more energy than we could possibly use, even as our family grew.

Freedom Forever installed the panels and battery. However, the reality has been far from what was promised. In October, I received a PG&E bill for $229 in addition to the monthly lease fee. The system was incorrectly sized, and despite promises, one battery is insufficient to eliminate our need for grid electricity. The battery depletes after just an hour of use, and we’re still paying PG&E for excess power.

To make matters worse, we were still on the NEM 1 plan, and now we’re paying thousands more for less usable electricity. Freedom Forever also claimed the project was complete before the battery was fully operational. It took a literal month for someone to come out and switch it on. It is baffling that companies allow salespeople to blatantly misrepresent situations and incorrectly size the equipment for the household’s needs.

I even hired an attorney to resolve the situation, but despite his initial commitment to respond, Michael stopped communicating, leaving us without resolution. Freedom Forever has also not responded. Be very careful when making decisions with this company. Michael seemed knowledgeable, and we believed his promises, but unfortunately, they have not been met.

Jose Lopez with Freedom Forever showed top technical skills experienced for me to be confident in his final inspections and corrections for the City Of Fresno to issue my solar permit which they did. He exhibited top quality knowledge in the solar field expertise and ease myself that my solar is running to operate fully without any issues once it gets approved by PG&E. I highly recommend anyone who wants to install solar to review and meet with the Freedom Forever sales associate to discuss your solar needs.
