Just had my first cleaning with them and I can literally see the difference on the panels and most importantly on my energy produced.

They’re very organized and up on technology. I get calls, text and email reminders prior to appointment. But my favorite is the report they send once cleaning is done with before and after pictures along with a condition report.

I finally decided to get solar and knew I wanted a local company to do the installation. I spent months researching and finally decided to go with Solar Negotiators (Now Solar Maintenance Pros), as they were local, had great reviews, and the owner was a Veteran, being a Veteran myself this played a big role. I'll leave names out just to keep things as objective as possible.

I met with my sales representative and planned out my system. I was paying cash as I didn't want to hassle with yet another loan. As everyone who goes solar knows, it's a big investment and something that isn't taken lightly. From this point, I was thoroughly satisfied with the process.

My project got turned over to the service team and I was assigned a service representative to oversee my project and be my point of contact from here on out. This was February 22, 2019. From here I was given the checklist and approximate timelines.

The Site Survey went off without any problems. The plans were submitted and I signed off on it. A few days later I was told there were problems with my plans and they sent over a second draft for my approval. I signed the second draft and awaited install day.

Install day came and when I got home I noticed the panels were in the wrong area. Long story short, the original plans were given to the installers, not the newest approved plans. After a little back and forth, I think they did a great job on resolving this issue. Instead of moving the rack, they just added a new rack and gave me 2 free panels to offset the shade issue and as a way to make up for the confusion on their end.

My system went from 4.7kW to 5.2kW. Therefore it had to go back to the city for approval, which delayed the process. I'm 62 days into my project; I have panels on my roof, an inverter on my wall, a brand new electrical panel and I'm still getting all my electricity from PG&E. I'm just waiting to find out what the next step is, I've reached out and haven't got any communication back.

So all this to say the following: I wish Solar Maintenance Pros did a better job with communication. Maybe not everyday, but send an email at least every other day with a status, even if it's just "still waiting on the city to approve your project". I worked in the service industry and I called my customer's everyday to let them know what was going on with their computer, they appreciated the constant communication. It reassured them and let them know that their computer/project was important. People want to know what's going on, especially with a project that costs so much. This is a huge investment, I am by no means wealthy, so this took me a long time to save up for. I don't like being left out in the dark.

UPDATE: AS OF 6.26.2025 STILL NO FIX! SENT AMOTHER TECH OUT SAME DIAGNOSTICS AND NO CONTACT AFTER.
They installed solar years ago for me. Did 24 panels. They have had to replace panels and cell cards but it is always a fight and hassle. Now I have 3 bad panels (they installed Canadian not USA made) they will only replace with different size and different color. They will not recommend any other companies to do what they can not do. So now I have 1 non working panel (for about 8-12 months) and 2 under-producing that should be covered under warranty (but cant match the size or color) that I'll have to have replaced my another contractor. When this company first started it was a great company and all about customer service, i recommended to everyone. Now it's "this is what we will do take it or leave it, we really don't care".
Or they also said "We are not able to give you a company that might have one, they only thing we can advise is that you try to source the module online somehow."
Be careful with their warranty you may find yourself sourcing the panel online.

I've recommended this company to everyone I know I even did a commercialfor them, but today my opinion has changed DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! I repeat DO NOT BUY FROM HERE PLEASE!!! they told me my entire system would be covered under a Warranty. To day 5 years later my system wasn't communicating with my app to show any issues and when the tech came out from @solarmaintenancepros he said since my system was 5 years old the part needing replaced would be $388.00 and not covered under warranty. So when they sold it to me they LIED AND WAS UNTRUTHFUL! So please DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY! and to everyone I recommended @solarnegotiators to I APOLOGIZE! I had no idea they would do this in the future.

Great company. I would not hesitate to do business with them again if needed. I have had solar installed for about a month and seems to be performing as promised. Install went great and was very clean. I had the pleasure of working with Chris Moran and was a stand up guy.

So I was somewhat disappointed with the service I received today. When I decided to use Solar Maintenance Pros for my panel cleaning I was told the service technicians would take before and after photos of the roof and panels (I was concerned about tile breakage during the service) and would check connections, wiring, inverter, etc. The service kinda went like this; two technicians arrived at the house, went on the roof, one sprayed the panels the other used a brush. When they were done one of the technicians knocked on my door and handed me an invoice. As he walked away I asked about my roof tiles , if any were broke during the service. He responded there were several cracked tiles to which I responded was odd because about 40 tiles were changed during the solar installation less than a year ago. I expected for him to offer to show me before and after photos but he never offered. Also, while I did not expect any issues, I was never told the system looked okay which one would expect if an inspection was a part of the service. The bottom line is they came out cleaned the panels and left. If a company claims to do specific things then the client should be advised of the observations, and I would have liked to see the before and after photos of my roof and panels. Now I have to climb on the roof to look myself. On a positive note the technicians did showed up on time and gave me a heads up phone call and from what I can see from the ground the panels look much better than before the service.

I had originally set an appointment for 4/30. The day came and went and when I called them, they said they had 5/14 in their system. But they did show up on 5/14 and everything went without a hitch from there.

This was my first professional cleaning by any company and I would have expected some of the panels to clean up a little better, but that is probably my fault for rinsing them down with tap (hard water) and letting it air dry in the past. Probably what I see are some deposits left behind as a result of these old attempts at cleaning them and not because of the technician's work today.

All minor though, and not complaints. The phone reps have always been very friendly. The technician who showed up was also friendly and professional.

Finished in about an hour (39 panels) and was on his way.

They are awesome! Very professional, clean and courteous! We live in the country and it’s extremely dusty due to horses on the ranch, so we just added the monthly service and they do a great job, we have a 12k system with 34 panels!

Great Service! Awesome work done. The guys came in and did their job, cleaned up everything (we had a real pigeon mess). Pigeons are gone and everything is clean. We couldn’t be happier. Will definitely use this company in the future for cleaning our panels. Very reasonably priced.

Love the whole process that Solar Maintenance Pros uses. Received my scheduled date for cleaning. Received a reminder with confirmation box to let everyone know date still worked. Reminder also provided name of technician. Technician called the morning of service to let me know he was 10 minutes away. Technician was super nice, went right to work, and did a great job. Absolute perfection on all fronts!!! I’m very pleased!!

From my very first phone call the service has been professional and courteous. The day of my service was prompt and professionally completed. The crew was courteous and advised of their arrival and let me know when the job was complete. The price for the service was very competitive. I would recommend Solar Maintainance to anyone with panels.
Please note my energy levels increase tremendously after my panels were cleaned.

This was probably the worst service I have received in my life. I had a fault on one of my inverters that I needed a professional to diagnose the problem. First I had to call them back twice just to get the appointment set up. Then they made a point to say their fee was $175. I thought a little high but if they could diagnose and fix the problem great. Well the technician shows up stays for 1 hour said he is out of time and couldn't find the problem. Left with wires dangling and no resolution. They email a bill the next morning but no follow up call. Once again I have to call them. They said the $175 is only for an hour. They would write another quote for the tech to come back and finish. After waiting 3 days I get a quote for over $850 to disconnect wires and pull off panels to troubleshoot the problem. That was the last straw. Called for a 2nd opinion. This company came out and diagnosed a bad inverter in 15 minutes. No lie. Didn't charge and said the inverter is still on warranty so they would start that process. Solar maintenance pros are no pros at all. I am very disappointed that I paid them $175 for nothing. Be careful if you choose them for a maintenance work.
Update: After hearing of my unpleasant experience, they contacted me. They sincerely apologized and offered a full refund. This was definitely what I would expect from a good company and it was appreciated. Even though the service didn't work out for me. They did make it right which shows that they do value their customers and will do what is necessary to make things right.

The whole process was very easy. Starting with our zoom meeting with our sales man . He was very clear and informative explains the costs, warranties and care of the system. The financing was easy and done quickly. The crew that came to install our solar system did an excellent job! They were polite and informative letting me know when they arrived and the process of installing along with the time frame. They cleaned up after themselves each day.

Solar Maintenance Pros was very professional and did a great job cleaning everything up on our roof and applying critter guard around our panels to keep the pigeons out. Chloe was extremely easy to work with and very responsive via email which was perfect for me. Their price was better than 2 other quotes we had received. I am very happy with their work.

The guys that came out did a great job! They took lots of care when getting on my roof. The panels look amazing. Thank you to Katherine for everything. She got me scheduled and reassured me that the crew would carefully inspect, clean and I would get a report on their visit.

Update: Stopped using this company after I had several broken tiles. They were the only company that has ever been on my roof. I was given several free cleanings and never redeemed them.

Great deal. Terrific customer service. Very friendly/knowledgeable sales people and technicians. Highly recommend.

Communication was excellent throughout the entire install process. Enjoy using the Knowtrue up app on my phone to monitor my production AND consumption. Install team was very friendly, replaced any roof tiles they broke, and completed everything in a timely manner. They scheduled my final inspection with PG&E promptly after the install and got my panels turned on in less than a week. Highly recommend this company.

Great company to work with, mostly because they are super responsive. I had a company who used to come every three months but then they just stopped showing up. I called another company, had an appointment for cleaning, and they never showed and never called. When I emailed Solar Maintenance Pros, I got a call five minutes later. We agreed to cleaning and the paperwork was emailed a few hours later. Reminder email that they were coming, invoice emailed after they were done. All very professional and my panels look great. Happy customer!

Don’t expect this company to continue serving your system. They will stop whenever they feel like it, with no notice. Poor business model.

While each individual contract WAS for one year only, SMP had been servicing our system for MANY years. After MANY years of happy service they stopped returning my emails and phone calls. After weeks of trying to get ahold of them to schedule our service, finally someone actually talked to us and told us that they were not renewing our contract and were not accepting "New" customers. I was not a NEW customer! And why no one from this company would communicate, and not simply ghost us, is completely beyond me.

It was easy to call and schedule the appointment. They called to confirm the day before and also called when they were on their way the day of. After they were done, they emailed me a report with pictures of my panels before and after they cleaned them. Great job!

If I could give a zero I would. Sat around all day waiting, they never showed. Confirmed the appointment by email in advance as well. This is the second time; neither time have they had the courtesy to let us know in advance. Congratulations Solar Maintenance Amateurs, first 1 star I have ever given.

I had an issue with my Solar system. I called in and had great service. They do good work and are busy so it took just about a week to get a person out, which was not an issue. What amazed me was the technician they sent. Louise was her name and she was amazing. She was fast effective, efficient and super pleasant to work with. She (Louise) gave some of the best costumer service I have ever had. I can tell you beyond any doubt I will work with them and ask for her again. I am writing this because of her and how good of a job she did. It is because of her that I have decided to sign up for the monthly service plan. Thank you Louise for being awesome and resolving all my issues. On a side note they whole company exceed my expectations!
