Not only did he turn my dream of an outdoor living space a reality, but he did so with the utmost of professionalism, mindfulness to budgeting, and with 100% commitment to getting my project done in the time allotted. Initially what started as a professional relationship morphed into what I deem a priceless friendship. The trust built between us from my project's infancy, to its fruition is something that is hard to come by when working with companies and the people who run them. We recently moved to our new home near Millerton Lake on a 1/2 acre lot. Besides the pool as the focal point, we had a blank canvas, and didn't really know where to start. My wife and I generally know what we want, but we don't have that artistic touch to put it all together to create the estate of our dreams. After the first 10 minutes of talking with Josh, it was clear he knew what he was doing, and that he loved doing it. He was very thorough measuring out the property and taking diligent notes about our ideas. The first iteration he sent over knocked it out of the park. It was exactly what we were expecting. Josh's professionalism and craftsmanship is really hard to find these days. We're grateful that we have him on our team. I would recommend him all day long.

My family just moved into a newly built development in the Clovis/Fresno area. We purchased the premium lot (12,000 sq ft lot) because we had big goals and dreams with our backyard. Pool, patio, pergola, outdoor kitchen, kids play area, space for a 500 sq ft ADU and landscaping. I knew I wanted all these things, but no clue how they would functionally fit and all come together in the space. Here comes Josh. I found Josh online looking for a landscape designer. Called him and he squeezed me in for a free consultation and came to my house. What impressed me most about Josh is during this consultation he asked all the right questions to discover what our family goals were for our backyard. Did he deliver on the design?? Heck YES!! He literally put our vision in a beautiful functional design that fit into our lifestyle and growing family goals. It took a couple renderings but the final design was perfect! Josh is very knowledgeable, professional, but at the same time, one of the realist dudes that really showed genuine interest in our family and plans for our new home. Can’t wait to break ground and thing thing on and cracking! Highly recommended.

Josh came highly recommended and I can see why. He is truly an expert in his field who you can tell really enjoys what he does. He approaches every project, budget, and person with the same respect and care. I would and will 1000% recommend him for anyone's project!

I have a new build home and there is nothing but dirt, spiders, and wasps in my back yard. I reached out to Josh to figure out a plan of how I could best utilize my space with some of the things that I wanted back there. Josh was understanding and flexible with setting up a time to meet and he didn’t even mind showing up to work in the heat! We sat down and had a meeting about what kind of space I would like to have. After we talked about it, Josh did measurements and looked around at the area. After that it took him a week and a half to put a plan together for my space that will have a doggy run way, gazebo, turf area and and concrete. Super excited to get started on this project. Josh was a very professional person that came to talk to us about our backyard renovation. We spent a good amount of time going over different ideas and concepts for that change we are looking for. He gave us great ideas to think about as well as a good direction to move forward. We have not yet picked a general contractor to do the work as we don't 100% exactly what we want but when we do, Josh will be at the top of that list.

Months leading up to us needing backyard landscaping, my husband and I were hoping to find someone who would walk us through a design- as well as make arrangements for the contractors to bring the vision to fruition. For us, this seamless process was almost as important as the design itself. Shortly after signing contract on a new home build, I found Stangby Designs on Instagram. I watched every story and viewed every post and it didn't take me long to realize I needed to work with him. Joshua was immediately very responsive and never made me feel like my project was too small or less important than other jobs that he's worked. Upon meeting him, I could tell right away that he is a genuine guy who is passionate about his work. He took our vision and ran with it, creating a backyard that is perfect for our lifestyle. Even though his role is design, he sticks around to make sure that the job he designed for us is the job we get. Can't wait to see the final result.

I have an amazing experience is using Stangby designs. From the inquiry to meeting for my design. Josh is incredible at was he does. He is personal and professional. In my encounters with my appointments, he is very dedicated and you can feel the amount of love he puts into his craft. He listens to your ideas and also incorporates your personal life to best design your yard. In my case, I have two active children and also love to entertain my family and friends often. With the space he designed, it would cater to that need and divide my yard to multiple hang out areas, giving us more usage of the full yard. 10/10 recommend using Stangby designs!

Professional, Experienced, and Charismatic! Would recommend to anyone looking for a landscape designer/manager. Josh is extremely passionate about what he does and is very fun to work with. We had a general idea of what we wanted but Josh took our initial meeting notes and created an amazing digital design. He walked us through the entire design and refined it to match our requests. After we finalized our design he guided us in sifting through multiple quotes to find the best contractor for our project. He instructed the contractor on how to execute the design and has made himself available to answer questions as they pop up. If you’re on the fence about having a professional help with your design I recommend taking the extra step and use Josh with Stangby Designs, you won’t be disappointed.

We are so glad that our landscaping company referred us to Stangby Designs. It was very easy to book an initial appointment with Josh and he was great with communication. When he came for the initial consultation, we first spoke about what our vision for our yards was and then we did a detailed walkthrough with him. He was very thorough, professional and didn't try to push any irrelevant ideas onto us either. He gave honest advice and we could tell he had the best intentions for our project to be successful. He was able to come up with a design plan and video rendering in less than a month. It was so exciting seeing our vision come to visualization. We did have one last revision meeting, where some minor details were polished up but overall we were very happy with the result.
