I cannot recommend Andre from Makena Electric highly enough. I work from home and blew out the breaker that my computer and all peripherals are plugged into. It also happened to be my busiest time of the month. Andre responded quickly and although he originally wasn't going to be able to come out until the following day, managed to squeeze me in at the end of what was probably already a long day for him. He arrived on time and treated me and approached the job like I was the only client he had that day. The price was more than reasonable and he took the time to show me what the issues were and how he was going to fix them. He also fixed some issues that we were having in a couple of the bedroom outlets while he was here. He also shared some strategies how to make the breaker panel last longer and not require a replacement sooner.
Lastly, but certainly not least, he was respectful and spoke to me as a homeowner and not as a messenger for my husband, which I really appreciated.

I am late to leave my review for Andre and his awesome work, and skills, I can’t say enough great things. Andre and Pedro revamped our lighting in our small condo , and also installed a light fan fixture in our bedroom. They were both professional, courteous, and punctual. I couldn’t believe it took them one day to install the lighting and do their magic, and cleanup, after was also greatly appreciated. Our place looks completely different just with the lights they installed. Andre recommended another small business owner, Miguel, to do the painting and drywall work and he was just as awesome and did impeccable work. Thank you guys for such beautiful work, and we will continue to recommend your business if we hear anyone in need, or when we move!

Andre is a very professional and accommodating person to work with. We gave him a number of electrical jobs to fix, repair, and replace and he knew exactly what we needed and gave us reasonable pricing for both labor and fixtures. His employees were respectful and comfortable to have in my house.

I highly recommend Makena Electric! I hired Makena Electric to install a residential electrical panel upgrade from 100 amp to 200 amp and install 240
outlet for charging my electric vehicle. When I first met the owner, Andre, I knew this was going to be a great experience. I was impressed with the professionalism of Andre and his team. Andre listened to my ideas and concerns regarding this project. Then, he explained the process for each project and he made certain that I understood. Also, he gave his expertise recommendation for the project. Overall, I was amazed and happy with the workmanship of the project, the communication with Andre and his staff. I have another project in the works and I have Makena Electric locked in to complete the project.

Andre was referred by my neighbor. He showed up, took notes and submitted an estimate. I accepted and we scheduled a time. Arrived on time and completed the work neatly and in a timely fashion. I will hire him again for additional work.

Wow, Andre is the man! My best friend recommended him. He had done some work on her kiln last year & she was extremely pleased. I needed some repair with my fuse box & he showed up within a couple hours of my call. Andre is very professional, kind & has the best personality. This is my initial review. “Outstanding!” Andre called me back and came out the next morning to assess my needs. What a nice man. He was professional and extremely personable. While he was coming to assess my needs, he took time to try a few possible solutions as well. While they were not successful due to the nature of the problem, I am confident that Andre and his team will find a solution when they return. My knowledge of electrical work is limited, but I know enough to tell that Andre was checking all the right things. I have had numerous contractors do jobs for me over the years and so far, Andre left me feeling as though I have a solid electrician for my future electrical needs! Five Stars! Andre is very knowledgeable and has excellent problem solving skills. He explained what he was doing and why. He made sure all my outlets were working perfectly before he left. I would definitely hire him again and will recommend him to all of my family and friends.

Andre is amazing! I called last minute for electrical emergency at my business. He was able to fit me in and within a few hours arrived. Andre came in, took charge and was able to diagnose every single issue that was going on. Our electricity and wiring was old and through the years the wires have slowly corroded and burned. This could have been a major disaster. However Andre made it seem so easy, he truly has super powers when it comes to diagnosing electrical problems. He was fast, efficient, honest, and a nice guy.

Above all his pricing is very fair. I’m so grateful to have found him. We had another company come out the day prior and quoted us over $10k to fix and replace an electrical panel (which Andre said we didn’t need)

We needed a Tesla charger outlet in our garage and he had it done within minutes (I’m not kidding you). He also found a breaker that needed replacement and only charged us for the spare part and replaced it same day and time. He has clear communication, and very reasonable rates. Andre and his team are great. I have used Makena Electric twice, once to install a new 240V outlet for an induction stove and another time to install new ceiling fans. Both times, the communication was great, they arrive on time, and they work FAST. Quality is great and the cleanup was also top notch. Pricing is very competitive and Andre is great to work with. We interviewed quite a few electricians before we met Andre, the owner. Some didn't respond, some were late, some tried to upsell, and a few failed to follow-through with a quote. Andre was prompt, responsive, on-time, and on budget. Best of all, he and Pedro did quality work, always leaving the work area in as clean a condition as when they started.

The first call was to install lighting above the garage doors, plus a flood light with motion sensor. This was not easy because the garage door opener rail mount occupied the space behind where the lights were to go. I still don't know how they did it, but as the photos show, they achieved my request. They also mounted lighting fixtures on the back of the house. There was cabinetry on the inside that made mounting and wiring a real challenge. Once again, they performed their magic.

We were so pleased with their work that when it was time to have a Tesla wall charger mounted outside of the garage, we asked Andre for a quote. Tesla has a referral program for "certified" electricians, so I did submit requests, but not one could be bothered to respond. Andre was not only prompt, but he and Pedro got the job done without delay.
