Andre and team are the best! I contacted them after seeing other really great reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. I've had them come out a couple times already to replace my 80s lighting with new recessed lights. These guys really know their stuff - I was very impressed by how efficient they were with wiring my new recessed lights with minimal cuts into my ceilings and walls. As an added bonus, Andre and his crew are super nice people, and Andre really seems to care about his clients and have our best interests in mind.

Makena Electric is a miracle worker! The entire front part of my home was without power. Another contractor told me they would have to cut holes in the ceiling of the entire first floor of my home to run a new wire for thousands of dollars. I sought a second opinion from Makena over the weekend, and I was promptly provided a reasonable estimate and a Monday morning appointment. Andre was very professional and kindly explained the inspection to me, step by step. He found a loose wire behind a light switch and restored power without having to cut a single hole in the ceiling or walls and charged an incredibly reasonable fee. Be prepared for a high estimate for your electrical work. I called High Voltage Electrical to fix an electrical problem. I expected it would cost a couple hundred dollars for the work. The estimate was $325. I thought that was high. I had them do the work anyway because I would pay $75 even if they didn’t do the work. Then I would still need to hire another electrician to do the work and pay them. Next time I’ll use an independent local electrician.
