Hugh and Black Diamond are the best. Had many quotes and Hugh with Black Diamond gave me the best quote. Hugh was great at keeping me informed during the whole process. The crews were awesome they did a fabulous job. They were neat and the short amount of time to complete the job was impressive. I was so impressed and pleased with the outcome of the pavers, that I hired Hugh and Black Diamond to do the landscaping as well. Thank you Hugh and Black Diamond.

Ron came out to give us pricing for removing our driveway and installing pavers, and we had such a great experience! He has amazing energy, was extremely patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He was also extremely kind & respectful with my spanish-speaking mom, which meant a lot to us! Highly recommend working with Ron- he’s professional, personable, and truly goes above and beyond!

Choosing the right company/contractor is never an easy task. We recieved bids from several companies. Some bids were lower in price and some were higher. Ultimately we decided to move forward with Ron G. & company because of his vast knowledge, experience, & professionalism. Ron clearly communicated our options and didn't use high pressure sales tactics to hurry us into signing any contracts. We love our new driveway and can't wait for Phase 2 (Backyard) in January. After researching and receiving quotes from multiple companies, we chose Black Diamond based on their paver selection, guarantee, and price for demo of our existing patio and installation of the pavers. Jon Barlock helped us through the process and was very responsive from the beginning of quoting to completion of the paver installation. His team was able to demo, install, and clean up in one day! He worked with us while we waited for footings to be installed for a patio cover so they could add pavers around the footings. They also moved our water line outside of the paver area as requested. We couldn't be happier with the service and final product. The pavers are beautiful, and it was an easy process.

I cannot speak too highly of our Black Diamond project manager, Chris Leithem. He listened carefully and respectfully to our concerns and wishes. He was with us all the way, on site every day, checking at every stage that we were happy with how the project vision was unfolding. He built on our initial ideas to provide a detailed design that was better than we could have imagined! It was a true collaboration.

We love the end result and appreciate his creativity and vision. Our front yard, backyard, and driveway have been transformed from broken concrete and a dead lawn to an innovative desert landscape that is a show piece! I am delighted that we are using low-water native plants and that maintenance is almost nil.

There were challenges for sure, from drainage problems, broken concrete from massive tree roots, and edges by the original builder that were not straight, but Chris tackled each one creatively and successfully without any extra cost. His crew were also very hardworking and pleasant to have around.

I can recommend Black Diamond unreservedly and would use them again in the future.

Ron G was great, the project was finished quickly and efficiently with constant communication and updates. Would highly recommend their work to anyone, turned my dirt lot into a lovely front yard!

Ron G. from Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape provided outstanding service 5 stars. He explained every detail on how the work would be done from the start and to the end before signing the contract. Throughout the project, he was present everyday with text images and details on progress. If any questions came along, he asked before proceeding to make sure it is what we wanted. Project completed in less than what was quoted. Excellent work and will definitely use them again. Can't recommend a better high quality and high value experience than going with Black Diamond.

I cannot recommend Black Diamond enough. Eric Magpali met with us for a quote and worked with us for a design. We had received several quotes, and while Black Diamond was not the cheapest, they provided the most comprehensive estimate, and really worked with us on the design. My husband is a creative director, and working with him on design is not an easy thing! But Eric really listened to us and to what we wanted to achieve. The transformation was incredible and Eric was with us every step of the way, making sure the job was done right. They finished ahead of schedule, which is unheard of in construction. Very satisfied and would definitely recommend!

We hired Black Diamond Pavers for our backyard project after getting bids from system Pavers and Western Pavers. Black Diamond was around 5-10 percent cheaper than the others and had a better labor warranty of 27 years. We worked with Chris Leithem as our project manager and he was great. We were also remodeling our pool at the same time which complicated the process somewhat but Chris addressed every concern and was able to accommodate every request we had. We chose Belgard Melville plank in foundry. Over all we are very pleased and would recommend Black Diamond and Chris if you are looking at pavers for a landscape solution.

We are overall satisfied with the work Black Diamond did on our backyard remodel in June. We had a paver patio and about 500 sqft of sod with benderboard installed. Below are a few points of what went well and what could have been improved:

What went well:
- Ron G. was very responsive and came on-site multiple times to help us develop a design that looked great and was within budget. He also brought paver samples a few times so we can choose the right colors.
- When the work started, it went quick. Took 2.5 days for the team to complete.
- They were able to start the work before family visited so we all could enjoy it.
- The patio is even and graded nicely. The sod is green and healthy.
- Materials were delivered on time.
- They went above & beyond fixing a few sprinkler items without making it a whole process (we used our existing system).

What could have been improved:
- It took some nudging to get on the schedule. After 3 weeks we contacted Ron and he worked hard to pull the team together to get our work started.
- The porta-potty wasn't delivered for the crew.
- Final clean up of the job site could have been better. Outside of the new paver patio, a layer of hard polysand was everywhere. It didn't look great and took me some time to dig up and clean.
- One piece of the benderboard was cut 1-2 inches too short. The crew put a stake in to make it look complete but it's noticeably short.
- It took about 4 weeks to have the unused pavers picked up.
- A portion of the demo wasn't completed in the back corner. This was part of the conversation since day 1 but was missed; and unfortunately the Ops Manager decided because it wasn't explicit in the contract they wouldn't complete the work.

All this feedback was shared with Ron, and he's been gracious to share it with the rest if the team. If the improvement items were there, I'd give them 5-stars.

We are very pleased with the job that Black Diamond did with our backyard. We've had other contractors work on our house before, but Black Diamond has been the best. What sets them apart from other contractors is that one person is assigned to the project for the entire duration of the project. Ron G, our project design specialist was great! From the very beginning during the design phase to the very end after completion, Ron made sure the project went smoothly and to our liking.
