Alex helped us to design a full front yard remodel for our home. From conception, to design, to demolition, build and finally planting and finishing touches, he was a partner with us. Alex is excellent at communicating and has impeccable taste. We truly valued his opinion as we made decisions along the way of our project. He listened to our desires and helped guide us through each stage of our project. When we ran into hiccups along the way, he was up front with us about the situation and gave reasonable suggestions for moving forward. His crews were dependable and highly skilled. We enjoyed and looked forward to seeing them every day and our territorial dogs looked forward to watching them work every day.

Our HOA is infamous for being strict and denying many submissions which require several back/forths. However, our submission was accepted on the first design which Alex attended on our behalf.

We updated our entire front yard which included adding a gated courtyard, artificial turf, entryway, driveway, planting walls and adding a new gated entry to our backyard. With Alex’s help, we not only updated the curb appeal of our home but maximized the space.

We highly recommend OC West to all of our friends and neighbors and our new front yard is a testament in itself to the design and quality of work. We can only hope that we’re able to find such a wonderful partner in all our home projects.

We moved into a new build with no yard and Alex was able to design a layout that worked best for our family and budget. He has tons of great ideas and is very dependable.

We redid the back and front yard. Alex managed the job from demolition through to the finished product. He had the same crew on the job from beginning to end. They came at the same time every day, worked diligently and respectfully every day and did a terrific job laying pavers, relocating an outdoor bbq that had been attached to the house, moving a fire pit, setting up a water feature and handling the planting and hydration of the softscape. Alex patiently listened to our ideas and scripted a proposal that was detailed in terms of time and price. The completed job was within 10% of budget (no surprises here as Alex kept us informed when we made changes to the original plans) and finished on time. We'd recommend them unconditionally.

I worked with OC West (Alex) on my backyard project a couple of months ago. There are many things I liked working with Alex. Of all things, Alex was very professional and thorough explaining what to expect and what I should know. He personally took me to many warehouses so that I could actually see and feel the materials he explained. We purchased a home that was built in 2006 with a front yard and back yard that looked like it was constructed back in the 1980’s (built by prior owner), so we consulted with several landscape architects around OC to help us design and rebuild our outdoor amenities to upgrade the curb appeal of our house, as well as modernize our backyard.

Alex and the team at OC West were extremely professional and great to work with, throughout the entire design, build and landscaping process. We initially engaged several groups to come up with designs for our front yard and back yard, and asked Alex to revise a design that we didn’t like from another studio. The construction teams that Alex works with are all extremely professional, courteous and worked well around our daily routines of living in our home while construction work was ongoing. We sincerely appreciate Alex and the team at OC West for helping us build out our place of refuge where we can spend quality time connecting with family and friends. We hired Alex's OC West to design and construct our Hidden Canyon home landscape last Spring. The overall experience was great. Alex is a great designer. Everything he put together for us is very high quality and beautiful. We were away from home a lot during the summer, but that was not a problem at all. His project crew did a great job to make his design a reality. Also, there was no hidden cost and everything is done very professionally. We are very happy to have selected Alex's firm to be our landscape contractor.

Alex did an amazing job on our backyard. Right from the initial design planning till the completion of the project he was always accessible, addressed all our queries and concerns in a very timely manner. His initial budgeting for the project was spot on and he finished the entire project within the initially quoted budget even though we increased the height of our waterfall midway through the project (but he did not increase the price for the waterfall). OC West did an amazing job with our landscape project which entailed demolition and a complete overhaul of the backyard. Alex helped us redesign the yard to accommodate a new pool and spa, added a bbq island, installed new flooring, plotted a new garden layout to increase privacy, incorporated vegetable gardens, installed a complete irrigation system and laid out a comprehensive landscape lighting scheme. Alex managed the timeline of activities very well and we found him to be very professional and easy to work with. He is a good listener and has a kind heart. We had a terrific experience with Alex for our front and backyard. Is a very designed minded contractor who provided fantastic ideas on top of our existing design plans. Professional and easy to work with from concept to final design. We had a really large project that involved remodeling a pool, decking, patio structure, artificial grass and softscapes.

Allan (the designer) helped us choose the right plants and materials for long lasting results. Allan is a horticulturalist with an encyclopedia for a brain. It made our trip to the nursery fun and full of useful information.

Great attention to detail and thoughtful planning throughout the project. Coleman is a great communicator and always goes above and beyond to make sure things are done correctly.
