They have a lot of nice things. I came here because I've been looking for soil and pots. I found what I needed but unfortunately I left without purchasing because the workers don't seem to care. No one was on the register so of course i happily waited but when the manager showed up she didn't care to ring up. She was doing her own thing giving her back. I left my items. I always try to support small business but some times bigger business care more. At least to say I'll be right with you. Or even easier, just a hi which I didn't even get here.

The reason for bad review is because I bought 2 citrus trees in 15 gal pots for $200 each...
...and when I planted them at home, I discovered their root systems were small (from a 5 gal pot) and someone recently repotted them into 15 gal pots to charge the big price. Wow, what a rip off!!

Knowledgeable staff and great selection of indoor plants. They offer free classes along with a rewards program. All the employees were very helpful offering great suggestions that made my shopping experience very easy.

I was passing by on my way home from meetings and needed a couple items, so I decided to stop here. So glad I did! The staff was wonderful, so friendly and helpful. You can tell the plants are well cared for and there was a good selection to chose from. Very different experience than going to the sad garden center in my local home improvement store. Definitely will come back next time I need garden supplies, and would highly recommend to others!

If you are lucky enough to have Jeanette help you, then you will constantly return to this nursery. She is always tireless and enthusiastic. She went completely out of her way to help me get the bougainvilleas I wanted and even went further on and researched the type of grape vines I was trying to track down. She has always been just this fabulous when it comes to the customers she serves. I have been coming here for years and am always glad to see her. Armstrong is fortunate to have Jeanette on its team.

A tad bit more expensive than Greenthumb Nursery. At least the Thousand Oaks store is closer to me.

Got two rose bushes. Good selection. $50 for the 5 gallon each. Guaranteed, so if the die, they will replace for free. Brown thumb insurance.

Great service I'll get my orchid from them

Two month ago, After a good amount of time considering, I decided to get a plant. I have owned about 6 plants in the past and they all died very soon after purchase. I almost lost all the hope in having my own thriving houseplant.

I went to Armstrong for it's good reviews and wanted to try out my luck. After being troubled by my long list of questions and concerns John? Recommended me this pot of orchids. It was love at first sight and they turned out to be super strong-living and very beautiful plants.

Now after two months, they are in full bloom and thriving, I simply water them every 7-10days, and stick my finger in the pot to test the moisture like I was shown at Armstrong.

This was beyond my expectation. It's my to-go place for my future plant needs.

I purchased a Kentia palm for $100+ and it dried after a while due to unhealthy roots. The staff didn’t help at all. I was expecting a better customer service since this place is pricier compared to other places. I don’t recommend this store to anyone.

Love this place, good staff, ver knowledgeable and friendly, ample parking. My trees became sick took several pictures and they helped me find right treatment, so happy

Prices aren't cheap, but they have a wide variety of stock to choose from and helpful staff to answer questions and help load heavy things in your car.

My family and I have been going to Armstrong ever since I was a kid. We love looking around outside at all the different garden decorations, plants, and flowers. It’s a great place to take the family to browse and come home with something to plant together. There are a wide variety of plants here and the quality of them is good. We are away from California right now, so today I had the pleasure of dealing with Cyan over the phone. Our friends lost a loved one and we wanted to send a succulent arrangement to their house. Jonathan at Armstrong sent me photos over email so I could see some different options. After selecting a beautiful arrangement, Cyan went above and beyond to write a small note for the family on our behalf. This kind gesture by Cyan meant so much to our family and shows what a good hearted character Armstrong has on their team. We paid a delivery fee of 30 bucks to have the arrangement delivered within a three hour time frame. The arrangement itself is beautiful, but the thoughtfulness of Cyan was even more beautiful. Thank you Cyan, Jonathan, and Armstrong! We will continue to support our favorite local garden center.

Great nursery place for Roses flower 🌺 the young boy Brandon who gave me a very good explanation of how to take care of roses… Definitely will come back again

My plant was dying and I didn’t know what to do with it so I came here and this lady helped me revive it by repotting it with new soil and fertilizer, with a supportive stick! Also added leaf shine at the end, what a big difference it made!

Really Enjoy walking amongst the plants.
