Constraction reviews in La Mesa, California

The crew managed the building of our parents' detached ADU like pros. They paid close attention to our unique accessibility requirements and made sure the design was practical and attractive. Exceptional communication was maintained over the whole foundation and frame process.

From demolition to final touch-ups, the full home remodel was managed expertly. We appreciated the dedication to quality materials, especially the care taken with the hardwood flooring restoration and the new window installations. The transformation of this 1950s house into a contemporary classic is stunning and truly life-changing.

I will definitely call them again

Finding a contractor who actually listens to your concerns can be difficult but this experience was different. They addressed every minor detail we brought up and made sure the site was safe for our pets every single night. The structural integrity of the build is top notch.

The general builder made sure that all the new kitchen lines were in place before the walls went up and checked that the electricians did a good job. The trades worked well with them, so the job never had to stop. A kitchen that looks great and works well is what you get in the end.

Exceptional tiling work in our new laundry room has made it a much more pleasant place to work. They suggested a durable porcelain tile that can handle the heavy appliances and water. The installation is neat and the grout is perfectly sealed.

My wife and I highly recommend Palm Construction. We worked with Gil to rebuild our deck. Gil showed up promptly, reviewed the work to be done and our wishes and wrote up a quote right then and there. The quote was better than two other competitors. We agreed to terms. The demo team was at our house that same day tearing out the old deck! This deck is about 530 sq. ft. and we were upgrading to Next Generation Trex. Palm has a great relationship with J.W. Redwood and materials acquisition was a breeze. The buildout team went to work right away and were skilled and professional. They worked hard and any issues were handled quickly and politely by Palm Quality Control (Gil). We were not allowed to sign the completion form until the minutest details had been addressed to our satisfaction. Thank you, Gil and Palm Construction, we couldn't be happier with our rebuilt deck.

Always punctual and always professional is the best way to describe the team that handled our remodel. They protected our existing floors with heavy duty cardboard and taped off all the doorways to prevent dust. We were very impressed by their level of care.

We had a new walkway, front porch and back patio area put in with pavers.Along with the house painted and tile repair on the pool. Gil and Avi, the field supervisors were professional and kept us informed at every step. The crews they sent out were highly skilled and respectful. The job was done quickly and expertly at a reasonable price. We love the outcome and highly recommend this company.

Honest pricing met high end results on our recent garage conversion project. They worked within our budget to create a beautiful studio space that adds significant value to our property. The interior finish work is smooth and professionally painted throughout.

It was easy to choose a builder to fix our roof after they gave us a thorough and fair price. They made sure all the vents and casings were up to date with current standards and used high-quality roofs. The job was finished on time, and there was a lot of trash picked up.

Painting project in San Diego. Leon was my project manager, and he was exceptionally helpful, patient and responsive. I know that mistakes or miscommunication can happen with subcontractors, but what matters to me is how they handle that. Leon, as well as his supervisor Lee, took responsibility and immediate action to resolve and find a solution. This built even more trust. That is truly excellent professionalism. I am very happy with the work done: sanding, repairing, caulking, prime and paint of entire house eaves, facia, soffit and the deck eaves. Company is professional, following up with me, making sure of walk throughs. And I feel like I can text Leon any questions and he’s there. Sure, you can find a lower estimate, I knew that I was paying extra for the service and management, but in certain big projects, it’s worth it. What made the difference for me was Leon, and Lee.

Bishop Construction has done some really nice work on my bathroom remodel. He really pays attention to detail and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with these guys.

Beyond contracting and restauration remodeled my two bathrooms, and they did an amazing job.The bathrooms were ready by end of june last year. James, the project manager, in addition to being the nicest person, was on the top of every issue, he worked very hard to get our project ready, despite all the delievery issues we had. They had to deal with european material that they did not work with before, and they managed very well. We are very happy with our bathrooms and never had an issue since then.

Second to none with their entire process from start to finish and their attention to detail is incredible.

STS has excellent communication and they really care about the experiences of their clients. We have had them do several projects for us and they have been very attentive, responsive and the work is wonderful!

If you are looking for a high-quality, well priced contractor you can save yourself a lot of legwork by calling STS Construction. My remodel project included 1,800 sq ft of floor tile, 2 bathrooms, the kitchen, fireplace, and utility room. I had contacted about 10 other contractors in San Diego, but none could compete with STS when it came to the pricing for my remodel. Todd and Jylene surveyed my house then gave me a proposal of their labor costs plus the cost of the materials I had already chosen; using their contractor pricing. No other contractor was willing to provide such a proposal, but when you have a budget, exact numbers matter.
While I was living at my home during the remodel, the project was split into two phases, so I had access to one bathroom at all times. In short, their work is excellent and I am completely satisfied with the end product. STS attention to detail is especially impressive in the tile work. STS also kept my house very clean during construction. After removing a drywall for example, they meticulously vacuumed the carpet at the end of the day, even though the carpet was scheduled to be removed in the morning.
I will use STS Construction again for my future projects.

I first worked with STS Construction in 2017 on a complete interior remodel of my home, including the kitchen, bathrooms, and flooring throughout. The quality of their craftsmanship and their attention to detail made a lasting impression and quickly established STS as my trusted contractor for future projects.
My most recent project—a full backyard remodel—is now nearing completion, and once again STS has exceeded my expectations. The scope of work included replacing existing stamped concrete with custom pavers, creating an outdoor living room, building a custom brick retaining wall around the fire pit, installing Roman shades over my spa, and replacing an old wooden fence with a new vinyl fence.
While my original vision for the backyard exceeded my budget, STS Construction owners Todd and Jylene worked closely with me to prioritize key elements and develop a proposal that was both thoughtful and financially realistic. Construction began in May, and work progressed consistently from start to finish—even on holidays. The only delays occurred when special-order materials were awaiting delivery.
Throughout the entire process, STS demonstrated exceptional professionalism, reliability, and a genuine commitment to quality. I confidently and highly recommend STS Construction for any personal or professional construction and design needs.

We used STS Construction to have our kitchen and master bathroom remodelled in La Jolla. Todd and Jylene were always easy to contact and work with. They did their best to make sure that we were happy with how everything turned out in our home and so I can confidently say that we recommend them and would be happy to use them again in the future.

I really like how much attention to detail there is. The work we did on our kitchen turned out great.

Service that is professional and dependable. The team did a great job. The project was finished quickly and well. Very happy.
