I had my solar system installed by Yes Energy Solutions (YES) in Dec 2019…..and my hat goes off to Jim and his entire team for creating a culture of consumer excellence and exceeding my expectations in all fronts. I did a walk-in late Oct (appointments are recommended) but was able to discuss my solar options with Gary S. The Dublin office and showroom was small, but you’ll find an assortment of the latest and top rated / market trending panels. I decided to go with LG360Q1K-V5 NeonR Prime Black panels with the Enphase IQ7+ inverters. Personally, I’ve always felt solar panels distress the aesthetics of a home; so I went the sleek black panels without the horizontal/vertical patterns, while keeping max performance output in mind. I was able to negotiate rates with YES, but not by much. At the end, although a premium was paid, it was money well spent. YES handled all the building permits, technical drawings, organizing walk-throughs with the city, connecting my panels with PG&E to the grid, and more. Celeste and Ashely constantly kept me informed of every step and milestone. A HUGE shout out goes to the “Purple” team who worked the day after Christmas to install our system. Team Purple (Alex, Omar, Ismael, Matt) did an outstanding job; they were courteous and professional. Don’t take my word for it, look at the attached photos. You’ll agree these guys take pride in their work, ensuring installation was watertight sealed, wires perfectly organized, and panels true and straight. The customer service doesn’t end there; after setting us up with PG&E and the job was done, Franki from the office sent a few followup emails to ensure they are here for us should we have any issues. We’re able to monitor our system and see exactly how much each panel is producing. Hopefully we will not run into any issues, but if we do, I know YES will be there for us. I recommend YES without hesitation for your energy needs.

I am a contractor myself and am happy with the whole process. I was totally worried about the likes of Tesla and other fly by night solar contractors. They did my install 2 years ago in a very organized manner with thorough communication. I recently found some loose bolts, so I contacted them to see if they could come out and tighten some of the hard to reach bolts. They promptly scheduled a crew at no cost. They will not be as cheap as Tesla, but they will answer your call and are honest. I would highly recommend.

In short, I’ve been very disappointed with YES’s customer support.

When I recently moved into my new home, I was glad to find that it already had a solar system installed by YES. Wanting more details about the system, I called YES. The first call went smoothly, and I was told I would receive an email about the warranty transfer. After waiting several days with no email, I called again. Once more, I was told the email would be sent after the call—but again, nothing arrived.

On my third call, I explained that I had still not received anything. The representative promised to send the warranty transfer email immediately, and this time I finally received the electronic document that required my signature. All of these interactions were with the same support representative, which made the repeated missteps even more frustrating.

Most recently, I called YES with a question about installing a consumption CT and left multiple voicemails. As of now, I still haven’t received a response.

So far, my experience with YES’s customer service has been extremely disappointing. If after-installation support matters to you, YES may not be the right choice.

Extremely Disappointed – Unsafe Installation and Terrible Service

I had my solar panels and EV charger installed by Your Energy Solutions nearly three years ago, and it has been nothing but a nightmare. The EV charger they installed melted and caused the wires to burn, which is a serious safety hazard. To make matters worse, the final inspection was never completed even after three years, leaving my system technically unapproved.

Now that the charger has failed, the company says it will take over two months to get service because they “don’t have service teams available.” This is completely unacceptable for a system that cost thousands of dollars and should have been installed safely and professionally from the start.

Pathetic experience — unsafe work, no accountability, and zero support. I would never recommend Your Energy Solutions to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and go with a more reliable installer.

We are very happy with our solar system and our experience with the “Your Energy Solution” (YES) team. From our first contact with YES to completion of the project the advice, support, communication,
and quality of system were excellent! Along the way we realized that we needed to upgrade our roof. Lou Zugbaba and his team at YES also helped us find a roofing company (Simon Says) that provided quality work, completed the job in a timely manner and at a fair price. Our neighbors were impressed with the entire process and result and frequently commented on their appreciation of a job well done.

YES team is a well deserved 5 star company! Our house is in San Francisco and it is extremely hard to get permits for solar panels and battery backup installed on the small residential house. I tried working with Tesla teams in 2022 and again in 2024. They did not get to the permit process and said they cannot install solar on our house. So I tried with YES. From the call with the salesperson to installation, inspection and to final approval from the city, the team is professional, polite and very hardworking. Thank you for helping us to become energy independent!

I had a great experience with YES! They were highly professional from start to finish, communicated clearly, and delivered excellent workmanship on my installation. Everything was completed on time and with real attention to detail. I’m very happy with the results and would gladly recommend them to anyone considering solar and will definitely call them back for any of my solar or electrical needs.

During the sales process, we identified the initial design and then tweaked that design to meet our needs...which ended up being perfect.
The Y.E.S. internet portal tracks the various tasks through completion, as well as provided me with the documentation files...I appreciated that immensely.
The installation was handled by their employees (not temps) who were skilled in each of their various tasks. Only a couple of minor installation mistakes were made, but they fixed those items.
The only improvement I would suggest, would to be more responsive to questions. Also, it would be nice if they had a post-installation training session on how the system works...but in all fairness to them, they had a huge influx of work with everyone trying to meet the Dec. 31, 2025 rebate deadline.
BOTTOM LINE - They did an outstanding job...we love our new solar system with two Tesla batteries! I will absolutely call them again for any additional needs.

When it comes to electrical wiring Shaun at Ace electric is the horse whisper. He helped me with a house remodel, we rewired lighting and smoke throughout the house, rewired the whole kitchen, installed LEDs lights and upgraded on of the breaker boxes. There wasn’t a problem he couldn’t figure out and he was great at explaining everything to me as the process went forward. He was also very helpful in our initial remodel design as he asked was great about thinking ahead about where we’d want lights, switches and outlets. The electrical has been working great for over a year now and he’s always there to answer questions when I have them.

Rude, unprofessional.

We have used Trojan Systems for the past 10 years. They offer a great service and great value. We have recommend them to all our friends.

The fire alarm system would beep for no reason very loudly at night. We happened to live right next to the central system and had to wake up in the middle of the night to silence the alarm because it beeped non-stop every 7 seconds and we were mentally tortured and couldn't get back to sleep. I would highly recommend anyone to stay away from this company as they are simply not professional and ignored our calls and emails. Absolutely terrible service. Stay away at all costs.

Chateau Electric agreed to adjust the invoice to reflect the standard $120 an hour . New invoice shows $2160 for 18 man hours which is fair considering there is time to acquire the parts.
Because their workmanship was good and of timely manner I will change my rating from one star to 3 stars. I feel that they will still have to win back my confidence since this event to earn a higher rating.

POOR VALUE DUE TO INFLATED COST.
Had Chateau Electric change out a 30A circuit breaker and hook up wires to machine.And had them install a 480v 80A fused disconnect and wire to Machine. The run was 6 feet. I have used Chouteau Electric several times before and their rates were around $120 an hour per person. This is the one time I didn't get a Quotation in advance of the work.
The work done was of good quality, BUT! They sent two people for 6 hours and charged $3270 just for the labor. that is $545. an hour for 2 persons.

We had a great experience working with InSign Electric on upgrading the parking lot lighting at one of our facilities. Their team was professional, responsive, and completed the work efficiently and with high quality. The new lighting significantly improved visibility and safety in the yard. InSign Electric also supported us with several other electrical projects, and their expertise and reliability have made them a trusted partner for our operations. I would highly recommend them for any electrical work.

InSign Electric is top notch! Excellent service and prompt response to any sign related issues we are having in our multiple locations throughout the East Bay. No situation is too difficult for them to not find a solution…and we have some challenging sign locations.
