Our Florida house was decorated over a period of almost nine years and was eclectic – not in a great way. On a whim one evening, I conducted a web search for interior designers and found CM Natural Designs profiled in an article, along with seven others. After reviewing each designer’s portfolio, I selected CM Natural Designs to contact, along with a couple of other designers I found in other articles.

After speaking to Corine via FaceTime, we knew instantly that she was the designer for us. We were apprehensive about spending money on something we historically thought we could tackle with Pinterest. But Corine’s detailed explanation of her design process, her professionalism and effervescence and the strength of her portfolio – varied and clearly brimming with the respective homeowner’s personality – convinced us to make the leap.

From beginning to end, Corine bowled us over with her talent, organizational skills, attention to detail and responsiveness. Even my husband (ever the skeptic) was impressed with her. Her design presentation nailed the vision of what we thought our house could look like. Within one week, we purchased 90% of the items she recommended. Over the next few months, our house was transformed from a mish mosh of accumulated high-end & Home Goods items to a serene retreat that is functional and still feels like our “home.” I often sit in the rooms that she redesigned, soaking in the touches. She doesn’t “push” her preferences – she really listens and translates your preferences into a beautiful, cohesive design.

The fact that she is based in CA, and we are based in FL presented zero issues. The initial style study was conducted through FaceTime. Communication was handled primarily through email and text, with the ad hoc call, if needed. Corine and her amazing studio manager, Jenny, were on top of every detail.

After completing four rooms with Corine, we engaged her to redesign our master bedroom, which was just recently installed. We will have her redesign our master bathroom & powder room, as well – I’ll be upset when we run out of rooms for her to redo.

We joke that Corine is not only our interior designer but our “life coach.” I literally won’t make some purchases without checking in with her, and my husband can be convinced to buy things if I mention that it was her idea.

I have very high standards, but Corine exceeded our expectations. My perspective on interior design has completely changed. If we had invested in this upfront before purchasing our mish mosh of stuff over time, we would have saved money on not having to “fix” things down the road. We can’t recommend Corine and CM Natural Designs enough. Her talent combined with her operational prowess and responsiveness is rare – and she’s a delight to work with. We feel so lucky to have found her!

CM Natural Designs. Corine of CM Natural Designs was absolutely wonderful to work with! We hired her to design our kitchen, two bathrooms and living room built in shelves and she had just the best idea for the spaces we have. She honed in on the feel we wanted from each particular room and created a masterpiece that reflected everything we needed and wanted. She was beyond quick to our responses, throughout the entire journey with her. After construction was complete, her attention to detail and eye didn't stop and picked up on a few things that needed to be fixed. She was always in our corner. We're so incredibly proud of what she designed. Not only is she insightful about what works and what doesn't in a space, but she listens and has the most fun loving, delightful personality. Even though we didn't know her prior to hiring her, we consider her a wonderful friend now that we're so lucky to have crossed paths with. Anyone who hires Corine will be better for it.

CMNatural Designs designed and guided our 1950s coastal cottage remodel start to finish. We contacted Corine even before engaging an architect because we were so impressed with her portfolio and reviews. After meeting with Corine via video conferencing, we were confident that she could provide the form and function we wanted.

Our lot is small so the square footage we were working with was tight. Yet we wanted to get a lot of functionality out of the space, including adding a powder bath and an indoor laundry area, expanding the kitchen, and turning a small funky bedroom into a complete Accessory Dwelling Unit with its own exterior entry, kitchenette, dining/work from home area and ensuite bathroom. Our expectations were high. Corine exceeded them. She designed the floor plan and all interior elevations, designed cabinetry, selected the furnishings, finishes and decor both big a small. Corine made sure that the end result functioned well, was beautiful, cohesive, seamlessly blended with the original part of the house and fit our personal aesthetic.

In addition to the plans and elevations, Corine provided a spreadsheet that specified all of the furniture and fixtures. The spreadsheet included web links, prices and order and delivery status. These documents turned out to be so essential during construction. The building contractor and subcontractors were able to refer to them to find out things like placement of fixtures, which exact fixtures we were installing, online specs, installation instructions. etc. Without Corine's planning documents, the construction process would have been a confusing fly by the seat of your pants affair. I can’t even imagine undertaking such a project without them.

Everyone who walks into our cottage is immediately blown away especially if they saw the before. Interior design seems to be a blend of technical, executive, communication and artistic abilities. Corine totally nails all of these.

We had a wonderful experience with CM Natural Designs. Corine designed the perfect space for us. We had an unusual footprint and angles, and Corine designed seamlessly around it — maximizing the space and creating great balance and flow. There were, of course, several questions and quick decisions that we needed to make with our contractor, and Corine was there each time to provide direction and help us navigate our choices.

All of the details — large and small — were thoughtful and perfectly tailored to our needs and style. I can’t imagine ever doing another project without her. I highly recommend CM Natural Designs!

Working with her is a delight in every way. She is easy and fun and pours everything into her projects and relationships. We had such a hard time working with our contractor on our reno, and I was so grateful for all of my time and back and forth with Corine because she, by contrast, was a dream.
I honestly don't understand how any human can be so good at paint colors. What on planet earth is harder than paint colors!!?! Corine has this incredible talent for it -- she would flip through a deck (nay, decks!) and immediately narrow down to a few choices and then every single time for us, the perfect color was in there. One of my favorite things about how our renovation turned out and the thing I got the most compliments on is our paint colors.
It's super clear that Corine loves design and something really cool about her is she wants her clients to have exactly what they want. Her tastes aside (she beautiful taste, obviously), she's just not one of those designers who only has one look/one vibe. She can deliver on anything and make it look amazing.
I would work her again a million times over and had to come and leave a review. If your hesitant about working with a designer (as I was) give Corine a try and thank me later!

We have had a wonderful time working with Corine and couldn’t recommend her enough. Not only are she and her team incredibly professional, organized, and responsive, she also has amazing taste and will work with you tirelessly to deliver the vision you’re hoping for. I was also frequently impressed by how much she emphasized making spaces useful and useable, not just beautiful (although they are also that). She clearly understands her job to not just be to make a home that looks gorgeous in photos (it will) but also a home your family loves to be in, while also tracking your purchases and expenses carefully and with total transparency. We just love working with her.

Corine is awesome to work with. We originally hired her from a friend's referral to design our bedroom and living room. We loved it so much that she did our decks too. And we plan to hire again soon.

In particular, she was thoughtful about how to not just design aesthetically, but also forward thinking for our upcoming baby. I didn't full appreciate the brilliance of her designs until our baby turned one and she loves the furniture choices even more than us — safe, perfect to play around, and absolutely gorgeous.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Corine for a design consultation on our kitchen remodel, and I can't recommend her enough! As we transition our kitchen into an open space, we needed guidance on how to fit it within the existing parameters of a quirky old home. She helped us think through the flow of the kitchen, ensuring we had enough space for movement, practical advice for where to put appliances, all of our things, and good tips for having small children around. She also offered fantastic advice on colors, lighting, and materials that would complement the character of the house. Corine also provided guidance on bathroom layout, materials, and furniture arrangements. It was so helpful to talk with her to think through the practicalities of designing the layout, and also adding character to the space!

Tony has done several projects for me - a bathroom remodel and a kitchen remodel - and both were done beautifully and within the promised scope. He is professional and neat and was easy to work with at every step of the process. I would recommend him to anyone.

We couldn’t be happier with the job Tony did remodeling our bathroom. We were pretty sure what we wanted but Tony made sure we could turn our plan into reality. He and his awesome team were able to get the job done in the time we requested and worked weekends to ensure we were without our only shower for a little time as possible. Gunner Gray did a great job on my 83 year old Berkeley home in Claremont Canyon. The plaster walls were in need of repair throughout the house. He is at heart an artist who cared about the smallest detail restoring the walls to their original beauty.
He is honest and fair in his pricing. Highly recommend.

We used Gray Lath and Plaster to open some walls to search for a shower leak above. Gunner came and worked with us and the plumber to search for the leak, opening the wall in the least disruptive and most cost effective way to ultimately replace the drywall. He is very helpful about construction in the walls, and very pleasant to work with! Very reasonable rates and looks for ways to save me money!

We had a leak in the wall behind our vanity which caused a major plumbing issue which meant we had to have a section of drywall repaired. I found Gray Lath and Plaster on Google and took a chance since they were local and I knew they would have to come back a few times. I reached out to a couple of other companies but their bids were triple what Gray charged me and also just too far away. Gray Lath and Plaster did a fantastic job. They are very meticulous and the wall is flawless. The owner is a pleasure to work. He responds very quickly which I really appreciate and wants the customer to be totally satisfied. Great company and reasonable rates. I would definitely use again if needed. A+++++

Our neighbor highly recommended Gray Lath and Plaster after having work done on her own home last year. We kept the business card and found we needed these services after replacing a window in our home. We were initially impressed with Gunnar's prompt, respectful, attentive, and direct communication about the job. We were on a timeline to have the work done before having guests visit from out of state later in the month. I appreciate that he prefers a phone call to a text for effectively communicating and scheduling throughout the job. Once the work began, it was clear to us that Gunnar is very skillful at what he does and his work is very high quality. He pays attention to small details that matter, and he is both efficient/timely but also takes the time that the materials (drywall, plasters, lath) need to dry/cure/etc and does not rush. He helped us save some money on the job and he completed the work with more than enough time for us to prepare for our guests. The results were better than we imagined and the cost was reflective of the high quality work. We highly recommend Gray Lath and Plaster and will call on Gunnar again in the future when this kind of work is needed!
