United must sub out the work to independent cleaners and hopefully you get some who are good. Three years ago Stanley Steemer charged $325 to steam clean my empty apartment today I paid $750 for "deep cleaning" around furniture and the amount was lowered because I complained. WET, SOAPY, STICKY carpet is not a deep clean. I hope my carpet dries before Thursday. It looks better, but I think I could have done a comparable job renting a rug doctor. I learned an expensive lesson today.
