Constraction reviews in Monte Rio, California

These guys came in and remodeled my whole house, new roof, floors, deck, walls--- everything. I have 1 other property i will have them do work on. Amazing craftsmanship and wonderful guys to be around.

Communication and craftsmanship is 10 out of 5 stars. Honestly went above and beyond on our bathroom remodel. We are private people so we wont be posting our bathroom, but Bill and his crew are amazing to work with.

Excellent communication and customer service throughout the project. The two guys did a careful job removing and reinstalling old painted wood siding for foundation access — no damage, screwed back securely for easy future work, and the result was better than expected.

I just can not say enough about the quality of service from William and his crew! I’ve used countless companies and honestly nothing compares to this. You truly get what you pay for and then some. I always feel so blessed by his work.

“Exceptional service and craftsmanship!”

SCGC is an incredible company! William has come through for us more than once — and every time, he goes above and beyond. Most recently, he made himself available on short notice to handle a plumbing issue at our home, and within minutes, he had everything fixed perfectly.

He’s professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his work. What stands out most is his honesty and attention to detail — no shortcuts, no excuses, just solid work done right the first time. On top of that, he’s easy to talk to, trustworthy, and has a great sense of humor, which makes the whole experience that much smoother.

It’s rare to find someone so dependable in this industry. William and the SCGC team have definitely earned our trust, and we’ll continue to call on them for any future projects.

If you’re looking for a reliable, skilled, and all-around great contractor — look no further. William is the guy you want on your side.

We recently completed a full home remodel with Sonoma County General Construction, and I can confidently say this team exceeded every expectation we had. From day one, William and his crew were organized, communicative, and truly passionate about their work.

Our project involved gutting and renovating nearly the entire house — including the kitchen, two bathrooms, living room, and all the bedrooms. The scope of work was extensive:

Kitchen: complete reconfiguration of the layout, new custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, tile backsplash, recessed lighting, and brand-new appliances.

Bathrooms: full tear-outs with modern tile showers, new vanities, mirrors, lighting, and upgraded plumbing throughout.

Living Spaces: new flooring, fresh drywall and texture, interior paint, updated trim and doors, and electrical upgrades for better lighting and outlets.

Bedrooms: closet rebuilds, new flooring, paint, and ceiling fans.

Exterior: minor siding repair, fresh paint, and trim updates for a clean finished look.

What impressed us most was how smoothly the entire process ran. William kept us updated at every stage, coordinated his subs seamlessly, and always made sure things were done the right way — no shortcuts, no cutting corners. The attention to detail was outstanding, and every finish looks incredible.

They also stayed on a reasonable timeline, which is saying a lot for a remodel of this scale. When minor surprises came up (as they always do in construction), William addressed them immediately and found practical solutions without ever compromising quality.

We absolutely love our new home and couldn’t be happier with the transformation. If you’re looking for a contractor who’s honest, dependable, and takes real pride in his work, SCGC is the one to call.

Thank you, William and team, for turning our vision into reality — we’re beyond grateful for everything you’ve done!

Will and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Despite several issues that were outside of their control - delays in product delivery, etc. They were incredibly flexible, patient, and accommodating in helping us reschedule and still get everything done within our timeframe.

They handled a variety of tasks for us, including hanging multiple shelves, assembling furniture, and installing various decorative items around the house. Everything was done carefully and professionally. Communication was easy, and the quality of the work really shows. I would absolutely recommend Will and his team and would gladly work with them again.

We only wish we would have found SCGC sooner, but we’re happy to have found them now. Will and his team are awesome. Every single person he’s had out on various projects is not only talented & capable, but also very professional and respectful.

Beyond that, Will operates his business with the utmost integrity. We’ve worked with numerous contractors over our 10 years here in Sonoma County (full top-bottom remodel of a 2-story 3 bedroom house, done over time) and have never encountered anyone with the level of integrity and professionalism that Will operates with.

About our projects with SCGC…thus far they’ve replaced/repaired a bunch of dry rot in exterior decking/stairs/house trim, power washed, and replaced a shower valve (including opening a wall & patching). This last project involved significant hassle on the part of the hardware manufacturer and Will handled it with incredible grace.
