Mel Electric has always been extremely responsive to our needs--setting up a generator, prioritizing its output, and servicing. We would recommend them to anyone for their electrical requests.

Very confident and professional. I contacted 5 electric companies. 2 did not respond, the other 2 could not commit to fixing my problem. I cannot state how pleased I have been with the electrical service from MEL Electric. We are in the process of remodeling and updating a small cottage in Napa. They were there when we upgraded the line and have assisted throughout the remodeling process. Steve has been a great electrician. He has provided thoughful and timely input. He has swung by on the weeked just to be sure we had all that we needed. I have especially appreciated that MEL has sent Steve consistently to work on our home as he is most familiar with the work that has been done. We are not done remodeling but we will continue to use MEL for our electrical needs.

In April we ordered an 8,000 watt Generac stand by generator from MEL Electric and it didn't arrive till November. It was not the fault of MEL but an issue with factory backlog and supply chain issues. MEL did keep us informed as to the progress of our order whenever we would call to inquire about the progress of our order. Once it did arrive MEL delivered it promptly and the serviceman set it up and got it running and explained it to us. He took his time and answered all of our questions and we were pleased with the service we got from MEL Electric.

MEL completed a generator installation at my home that took many twists and turns throughout the county permitting process. They did great work, showed up as scheduled, communicated very well and sought creative solutions. I’d definitely hire again.

I sent in a blind inquiry email for information about purchasing and installing a Generac generator at my rural house. MEL Electric responded the next morning. Every single person I have dealt with be it in person, on the phone or via email/text have been absolutely terrific! Polite, efficient, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, I can’t say enough good about this company. They were on time (they start really early for my newly retired sleep schedule) they left the areas of work pristine and they went over the details of what the new generator did and did not do, what to do if something does not function properly and emphasized that we should not hesitate to call for help.

This is a gem of a company and the fact that we are almost 2 hours away and they still took the job is fabulous.

This company is the most professional company I have had the pleasure of working with. Matt fixed our electrical problem quickly and Danielle is so responsive and kind. Most of all, Matt was honest about our electrical problem. We had several other electricians to our home and they told us to rewire the entire home quoting us into the 50k area and Matt not only fixed the issue but also told us us rewiring was an option but not necessarily our only option. He recommended a far less intrusive, simpler and reasonable solution which made us feel so much better about our situation. Our definite go to company from now on!

Great Crew & Great Job. Matt and his crew are professional and knowledgeable. On a recent commercial lighting installation MEL Electric installed very High Tech LED fixtures and Controls. The job came out great and the controls works perfectly. I would recommend MEL Electric for anyone that has a project they want done right and done on time.

I heartily recommend the folks at MEL ELECTRIC in Napa, CA. Trustworthy, really nice folks, work was started and finished on schedule and as promised. We had a emergency generator installed which required a new electrical panel, substantial trenching and working with a plumber recommend by MEL, a new natural gas line was installed. Folks at MEL provided professional quality work and our home will be protected against power outages which occur on a regular basis in the area we live. Great folks!!! Kevin G.

Matt Lopez is a very competent electrician as are his employees. He had done work for me prior to this job. His wife, Ebony, runs the office and is very pleasant and "on top of things".
They installed a Generac brand large back-up residential generator for our home He determined how much wattage we needed, so we could select the proper one. My next door neighbor also had Matt put one in for his home and is also very satisfied.
MEL' s bid for our job was very reasonable and competitive. In fact, it was just over half as much as another recommended supplier/installer on Generac's official web site who gave me and my neighbor bids.
We recommend MEL Electric without any hesitation.

Highly recommend! MEL Electric did a fantastic job installing lighting for my retail art gallery and made great suggestions to improve the project. Out of three electricians I interviewed Matt was the only one to show up with a note pad and take notes. He completed the project on time and came back afterwards to check if everything was working well. I cannot praise Matt and MEL enough. His office team is very responsive and helpful also.

MEL did a fantastic job replacing our main electrical panel and sub-panel. They were professional, efficient, and reasonably priced. Max and Eric were friendly and very thorough.

I also feel confident about the quality of the work. We had an issue after the installation, and they came out immediately to do a thorough diagnostic to determine that the issue was with PG&E so we could quickly get it resolved.

MEL Electric did a terrific job installing a whole house generator for us a few years ago. At that time we entered into an annual maintenance agreement with them. The system has run perfectly. We've had no problems. When PG&E shuts off power, the generator instantly kicks in. MEL Electric is thoroughly professional, always on time, always responsive to any inquiries and proactive when it comes to service. All of their personnel - in the office and in the field - have been a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend MEL Electric for anyone looking to install a generator.

Mel electric services my Generac 22KW Generator. they've shown up when they said. keep the thing in good order. they checked the warrenty to make sure things are covered. they've got the equipment to do it right. I'm a General Contractor. I only use people that show up and do it right.

Top notch customer service and workmanship.

I got several bids for upgrading electrical wiring and fixtures for our older home, with some items that were safety issues and others to bring up to date. Eric did a thorough job in assessing the different options, really digging into what was possible. We went with a partial rewire where things were accessible and more basic fixes for places where drywall would have to be cut, while also installing an EV charger and addressing a few other specific items, which only MEL Electric presented as an option.

The three-day estimated job was completed in two days. Eric and Anthony were super professional, including tidying things up before wrapping up work each day, and the work was high quality. The communication from office team was clear and timely, including a few tweaks to the original bids through work order (or just adjusting). And the total cost was well below what I had expected.

I will definitely call on MEL Electric for any future business and would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.
