Reviews of local pros in Newman, California

Service was great...but our yard quite small so needed the biweekly option versus weekly.....other than that they were excellent.

Horrible customer service. The rep was very unhelpful and unknowledgeable. Don’t waste your time, go to Lowe’s or Home Depot!

Great place to do business. Salesmen are very knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection of plants in the nursery and great selection for gift ideas. This store has a little bit of everything.

Why do your drivers go 45 on the 140? Everyday there’s at least one truck followed by 10 cars. Go the speed limit or pull over

Westside Landscape & Concrete did a beautiful job! Armando was so professional and had the best ideas. I loved the way everything turned out. This is the best company. Thank you so much!

I got my entire backyard landscaped, a cement patio, walkway and firepit with pergola. Armondo had wonderful ideas and listened to what I wanted. All the work was very professional and high quality. I am very pleased with the outcome!

First of all I would like to start by thanking Alejandra who took care of me and went above beyond in getting me exactly what I needed! Thanks to you I will be going thru you guys for all of my landscaping needs! To whoever hired Alejandra.. you truly have a valuable asset employee in Alejandra! I cannot express how hard it is to find good customer service, a pleasant voice and amazing follow thru in a business, so make sure to treat her right and keep her! She’s the real MVP! -Wendy G.

AN AMAZING J0B!!! Westside Landscape and Concrete took my ran-down rental property and made it absolutely beautiful! It was a big job: consisting of removal of 2 large palm trees & a fig tree; root grindings; manicuring of 2 large Chinese tallow trees; front & back sod with sprinkler systems; stamped sidewalks; mow strips; decorative mulch; plants; lime stone walkway; moss rock retaining wall; and grading & leveling out a large open lot. Being born and raised in Newman, I have watched Armando and Rolando's company grow from these 2 young men pushing lawnmowers into the great established business they own today. I'm so proud of them!

No job is too small; no job is too hard. They have the equipment and the man power to make everyone's property a dream come true.

THANK YOU BROTHERS! And thanks to all your HARD WORKING men! A job well done!!!

One of their trucks nearly ran me off the road this am. He was pulling a trailer and when I tried to pass him he accelerated to over 70 MPH. Safe legal trailer speed is 55. This is not the first time I have seen vehicles from this company driving recklessly. Imagine what other dangerous behavior employees of this company are engaging in if basic driving safety is not part of their safety culture.

I got my backyard designed and installed by Westside. It came out pretty nice. However, When my fountain broke (they didn't install it right) they refused to get back to me. They gave me the run around for months. The manager kept telling me "let's try for next week" then just wouldn't show up. I eventually paid someone to fix their mistake. For the amount I paid on these guys I wouldn't expect to be treated like this.

I have never and will never go to this place for the simple reason that I’ve been cut off by their stupid employees in their company trucks more times than I can count I drive past this place twice a day and you really need to tell your employees there’s other people on the road and they have to wait their turn if they aren’t smart enough to understand that maybe they shouldn’t drive your vehicles

We would recommend Westside Landscaping (Armondo and Crew) to anyone. They were quick, clean and their work was excellent on many levels. They were very helpful in the design phase (even when I wanted something different they were awesome). Great company with excellent customer service and their products were top notch!!! Do yourself a favor and give them a call.

I run two properties in Atwater and have a sister property in Manteca -we wanted to get Westside on because they have done fencing and concrete grinding for us and they have been beyond excellent- when we got them approved as landscapers for all 3 properties they have turned the properties around!! They have EXCEEDED all of my expectations, my properties are BEAUTIFUL -clean and the service from Westside is next level - these guys go above and beyond and the attention to detail is AMAZING -

These people think they own Newman. They park anywhere they don't care about safety shame on them

Westside did a fair job. Really pricey for half ass work. Took a while to get someone out. Then I had this guy, Jose, come out and he did so much more work, he did A LOT better job, exactly what I needed him to do. My yard looks 100 times better than what Westside did for us. Better pricing, faster response, much better work. I highly recommend Jose over Westside Landscaping.

These guys did a fantastic job removing 2 large oak trees that were growing only a few feet from my house. The crew was patient doing the job and they made safety their top priority when cutting down the trees. No damage was done to the house despite the fact that the trees were growing over the structure. They were respectful of our property and our neighbors property. I very much appreciate the great work done by the workers.

This company does not care how their workers leave the road when they are done. They leave a HUGE mess all over the area they are working in. They bring in 4 different huge trucks that block driveways, fire hydrants, create a dangerous traffic zone, and take parking from all other residents actually living there. Once they leave, the neighborhood is destroyed by the materials and equipment.

Driver doesn’t understand a two lane turn lane. They were in the left turn lane I was in the right both turning left on standiford from dale this morning around 10. He turns right into my lane almost took me out with his truck and long trailer. Continues miles down Standiford so not sure why he had to get over to fast. Looks like bad driving is standard for this company after looking at the other reviews. Drive better 🤦🏼‍♀️
