Excellent service, follow-up, and follow-through. We needed someone with expertise to re-irrigate when tree roots had done significant damage to our system. We had a landscape plan and Mark came out right away, gave a straight forward and reasonable quote for everything on the plan, and did a great job executing the entire landscaping project. No wasted time! Even after the project was finished he was very responsive when we needed adjustments to the invoice in order meet the requirements for the City of Sacramento's turf conversion rebate. We would absolutely call them again.

After moving to a new house, we’ve received a lot of business cards or door to door salesmen for landscaping projects. The ones we entertained seemed more interested in profiting off of our new project with ridiculously high prices that was just way too out of our price range. I found CaliGreen on Yelp after finally feeling prepared to tackle the backyard (especially with all the overgrown weeds that we had growing).

I was able to meet John, and he was very straightforward and understanding with all of our concerns. Whether it be our budget, or the plans we made, or whether it was even talking about potentially dividing up the project if the cost was just too much all at once (they also offer financing if needed). He had this sort of transparency that made CaliGreen the perfect choice.

We ended up getting the whole backyard done, and the timeline was nothing short of epic. We were initially quoted for the project timeline to be 2 months, but in actuality, it took them 3 weeks (with 1 week just being for the concrete to cure). The team always showed up on time, and were very hard workers. I appreciated all of their work especially considering temperatures were well around 90 most of the days they were here.

The backyard is perfect. No further maintenance needed (for now). We mainly got the backyard done because we have a dog, and foxtails were starting to grow in, but now our dog is free to roam around in the backyard with no issues at all. Super appreciative of all their work, would definitely recommend and rehire for any future project we have!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Caligreen and their superior level of service! They were very communicative from Day 1, showed up on time, completed the work on time, and even provided daily video updates without us having to ask. My husband and I were out of state during the entire project, which can be pretty nerve-wracking, but we were never once concerned about Caligreen’s ability to deliver. The “after” photos speak for themselves, and are an exact match with the initial drawing we provided. I would recommend them to anyone, and we can’t wait to spend all of our time in our new backyard!

We hired Caligreen in July to do a total front and backyard renovation for both hardscape and landscape. Mark organized everything and was very responsive, both with text and email during the project. We last minute decided to go drought tolerant in the front yard and had to totally change the plans. Mark was flexible and still made it happen on time. The yards looks beautiful and came out exactly as we wanted. He even designed a small pond for my water turtle, which is one my favorite parts of the yard. When one of my lights went out in the yard months after the job was finished, Mark still came by to check it out. We had a great experience working with Caligreen and I highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.

This is a A+ class company. Mark was patient with me I changed my mind 3 times on layout. Mark communicated quickly and I knew each step as it happened. I added concrete, synthetic grass and rock. Mark solved my flooding issue and added a sump pump at his suggestion. The concrete sub contractor was top notch super nice guys! They even helped carry in a heavy box delivery! Well priced compared to 3 other bids and worked wth my budget.

We moved into our "forever home" and wanted to get a quote for concrete, paver and/or artificial turf backyard.

Starting with day 1 with the initial call with the super friendly first contact, working with Caligreen went super smooth and the crew worked nonstop.

You can look at the two initial reviews of their work through the process for details, but to save you time, it went all super smooth and well. Plus they were much better price point compared to the other quotes which made me a tad worried but super thankful that we went with them. They only have great reviews for a reason.

My husband and I rarely write reviews but we loved Caligreen’s work so much we decided to write one. Caligreen did an amazing job on both our front lawn and backyard. We were super happy with our experience with Caligreen. We had them remove a ton of old plants, trees, and ivy, and install sod, native flowers, ground cover, and a new irrigation system. We had some changes over time, and they were super flexible and understanding. We also had other projects going on at the house at the same time, including trimming of a massive tree out front, and they were very accommodating of the other projects and worked really well with our arborist. The work they did was stellar; both the arborist and the general contractors we have working at the house had high praise for the result. John is a super nice guy and is still letting me bug him with questions about how to make sure the new sod thrives. Really can't recommend them enough.

Caligreen Landscaping made our backyard dreams come true! We had our yard designed and we began the search for just the right company we could trust. We are so grateful we came upon Caligreen! Caligreen leveled our yard and rebuilt it from scratch! Our plans were followed beautifully...they built a balcony, a large covered patio with lighting and fans, a large concrete stamped patio, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, seating wall, new sod, sprinklers, timers and new plants, trees and lighting. John was incredibly patient as we asked questions along the way. He never hesitated to offer us advise when we struggled with a decision or had a question or concern. We also appreciated how prompt he was each time we reached out to him about questions we had along the way. His team was respectful and absolutely knew exactly what they were doing each step of the way! Incredible! From quote to finished product, Caligreen was professional, friendly, prompt, great communication, clean and outstanding work! Would definitely use them again! We had two areas of our backyard already complete but envisioned turf and large pavers to connect the spaces. I showed my design, Caligreen gave excellent feedback and a few suggestions, and it turned out even better than my design! The crew were all so polite and communicated throughout the project which I truly appreciated. Very happy with Mark and his crew. New construction, starting with a dirt lot. We started with a simple design idea and he made it a reality. Gave realistic advice, listened to our suggestions, and was flexible during the build process with adjustments. He was on site daily and readily available via messaging with concerns. The project was within our budget and came out beautifully in under 3 weeks. All of our neighbors were impressed as well. Specifics: the concrete, irrigation, electrical, sod, custom redwood planter boxes, and trees were all well done. I intend to update this review over the next year as things settle in, but we are very impressed so far.

Our home is in Carmichael. I spoke with three contractors. John’s first time over. he walked the job, looked at my landscape plan, paid attention, asked questions, made suggestions and patiently answered my questions. The bid came days before promised. After the initial meet-up, his responses to my questions were quick and thorough. He even came back a second time to talk through some changes I had made. His recommendations/suggestions were spot-on! John made sure I understood everything and that I was comfortable with everything we discussed.

Before, during and after signing the contract, John always made me feel like I was his only customer. The crew on the job consisted of actual employees, including John himself. He ran the Ditch Witch and was hands-on through every part of the job. He scraped away my turf and transformed my yard into a low maintenance and great looking yard including two long and curvaceous “rivers” of river rock.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Caligreen Landscaping for our large yard improvement project. For years, we dealt with drainage issues and an underutilized backyard with empty planters.
