Looked around for an electrician that did clean work at a fair price. Cristian is exactly that. Very thorough with his scope of work descriptions and very patient and descriptive when I asked him job related questions. Work is done quick, clean, and to code! For background, I owned a duplex and converted it to condos in San Francisco. I've worked with a variety of other contractors on different projects on this building to accomplish the conversion (HVAC, roofing, bathroom renovation, electrical, etc.), so I know the building quite well. I also know what it's like to work with a variety of contractors and the issues that can arise (delays, failure to pass inspections, not showing up on time or at all, getting invoices with missing scope, etc.). Cristian Torres is a fantastic person to work with! I started working with Cristian for a variety of electric projects on this duplex approximately 3 years ago in order to bring the duplex up to code for the condo conversion process. He has been excellent to work with at every step of the way. He is always on time, delivers quality work, sets expectations properly, communicates clearly, and lets you know the current progress/next steps every time you interact with him. He shows up every day with a smile on his face, takes pride in his work every day (he likes showing off his work 😉), and I've never had a bad interaction with him (even if I was having a bad day and being rude to him). Some of the work I've had Cristian do was: - Replace the building main panel and sub panels (Cristian handled the 18-month-long coordination with PG&E entirely and proactively updated us on status; the reason it took 18 months was on PG&E's side, not Cristian's) - Bring 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms up to current code (as of 2024) - Detangle complex wiring to completely separate two units and a garage/storage space so each unit was billed properly for their actual electrical usage - Put in multi-way lightswitch wiring in our garage that actually works properly - Install a baseboard heater with smart thermostat for a baby room I've occasionally tossed some unconventional ideas at him, and he's always considered what my end goal is, made me feel heard/understood, and worked with me to get to the desired end state (or simply tell me why it's a bad idea in the first place). I've already recommended Cristian to other people and he's the first person I reach out to anytime I have any electrical needs.
