From the start Eshel with Happy Bay were fantastic to work with. We hired Happy bay to do a major remodel in our master bathroom and a minor remodel in our downstairs half bath. They were very professional, and were always prompt when responding to the million questions we had due to it being the first remodel we have ever done. Eshel's crew was very kind and hardworking, and were always sure to get our input when making any final decisions in the space. Not only were they great when it came to the execution of the project, Eshel was always willing to help guide us on our design decisions, and on many occasions we were glad that we took his advice!

I hired Eshel and his team at Happy Bay Construction to remodel my bathroom. I got a number of quotes to do the work and while they were not the least expensive, their pricing and estimate was very fair, competitive and clear.
Throughout the project, Eshel and the team listened to me, got creative when needed and went the extra mile to do the work (well) within the promised scope. What's more, I knew what was happening at all times. Eshel communicated and statused me regularly and there were no surprises.

They built a a deck and stairs, painted the entire inside, painted the outside, added light fixtures and more. They started on time, finished on time and the quality is top notch!

We cannot express enough what a great experience we had working with Eshel and his team on our bathroom renovation. We got many estimates from various companies but ultimately went with Eshel for his thoroughness in listening to our needs as well his fair price point. Our initial goal with this project was to install a washer and dryer, leveraging some of the bathroom space and a nearby closet. Although we initially did not want to do a complete bathroom renovation, once Eshel provided estimates for various options it just made the most sense.

From his initial visit, he helped us think through different scenarios and options to ensure we made the best design decisions to also match our budget.

I recently hired Happy Bay Construction to help with a variety of home improvement projects, including revamping the downstairs which includes installing a sub pump, creating an office space, and handling some important repairs. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work they did.

Downstairs Revamp & Office Space Creation: The transformation was impressive! They completely revamped the downstairs by installing a sub pump that worked impressively during the atmospheric river and created a functional office space that perfectly suits my needs.
Wiring & Networking: They re-routed the wiring, so the modem now works seamlessly at the back of the house, which was a huge improvement.
Sump Pump Installation: They installed a sump pump to prevent water from collecting in the basement, addressing an ongoing concern I had.
Lighting & Electrical Work: The team rewired and installed multiple lighting systems throughout the house, all done to perfection. The new lighting really brightened up the space.
Odd Jobs & Repairs: They also took care of numerous smaller tasks like minor repairs and painting rooms, all of which were handled efficiently and with great attention to detail.
I really appreciated that Eshel and the team were flexible and open to taking on a variety of tasks, from bigger installations to those smaller jobs that often get overlooked.

In terms of pricing, everything was transparent and fair, with no hidden surprises. Payments can be received by credit card or cash online, which are great options. They completed the project on time, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Eshel Chardon and his company did an excellent job of building my self standing patio cover. He was able to negotiate the difficult permit process and finished the project on-time and on budget. We went with Happy Bay construction for our 3 month carport and driveway project based largely on reviews and their comparatively reasonable quote for the project. Upon meeting Eshel and Ali, we knew customer service and communication were as important to them as it was for us.

Their management of our project was exemplary. We were kept informed of each step along the way. Although they must have had other projects occurring simultaneously, their attention to ours was as we had hoped–progress was continuous. The only delays we recall were waiting for the rain to cease before pouring the cement and a brief delay waiting for county inspectors to approve footings. Eshel and Ali made sure we knew about the delays in advance by personally coming over to let us know. Face to face communication was the most common form of communication and frequent reviews of each phase of the project gave us the confidence that we would get exactly what we wanted. We made a couple of design changes along the way. Eshel let us know the pros and cons matter of factly and was creative about options to achieve our goal. It was clear his aim was to produce a product that we would be proud of.

We were most impressed with the care and pride each member of their team had for their work. This is a rare sight and it was a joy to see. Through the duration of the project, our neighbors shared their amazement of the progress and workmanship of this team. The project was completed on time, with time to spare, and on budget. We needed to replace our porch after discovering rot while painting the front-stairs. We looked around for different quotes, there were very low and the very high. Happy Bay Construction came in on the moderate price scale. Eshel & Ali's team were professional in preforming all aspects of the job. We had to order our security door which had taken 2 mos. to receive. The team was long done finishing the porch project, but their team came back even after fully paid. We hired HB Construction for two jobs - a deck and bathroom - and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were of the highest standards. We had minor issues on both jobs, which were corrected satisfactorily at no additional cost. The workers were both cordial and respectful of our home. I originally hired Eshel, founder of Happy Bay Construction, for work on a property in San Francisco. I needed to rebuild the existing front porch and stairs as well as create a back staircase and reinforce the deck. Happy Bay showed up on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. They did such a terrific job that I hired them to paint the exterior of the property. As the house came alive, we needed to replace the driveway and build a retaining wall. This too was done in a timely fashion. There is NOTHING that Happy Bay Construction cannot provide.

I think the best review is when the person rehires the same company for a different project. To date I have hired Happy Bay Construction on more than ten projects and they are currently finishing up a bathroom remodel in Sonoma County.

Eshel and the Happy Bay team provided excellent service and craftsmanship. This was our first home renovation, and we had been warned about all the things that could go wrong, but with Eshel’s team (and maybe a little luck!) everything went smoothly without any major issues.

The project timeline was exactly as quoted, and whenever changes came up, Eshel clearly laid out options at different price points, which made decision-making easy. We remodeled two bathrooms at the same time and also had an old dumbwaiter removed and converted into closets. The crew was professional, friendly, and respectful throughout.

We were also on a tight deadline with a new baby on the way, and the team made the process as stress-free as possible. Even without a designer, Eshel was extremely helpful in guiding us through tile, finish, and design choices.

Happy Bay helped us put our home back together after it was remediated for water damage. In total they reconstructed 3 rooms, 2 closets and a bathroom. We also had them refinish our stairs.

The communication was amazing, always fast and honest. The crew was respectful of our home, friendly, and the end results were absolutely beautiful. As with any project of this size, there were little hiccups along the way, but Eshel always addressed them quickly and made sure everything was taken care of.

I also very much appreciate that we had the ability to pick out the finishes and colors and that they were willing to work with all the different materials... some of the other contractors we talked to when we were collecting bids seemed to only want to work with the materials that they use regularly. I love our new unique space!
