Angele is an amazing landscape designer. She is both buttoned up and creative. Her knowledge of plants, especially drought tolerant varieties, is encyclopedic. She has created beautiful and practical gardens for me, my clients and friends. She's currently designing a beautiful project for us in Sonoma. Highly Recommend!

I can’t say enough good words about Sweet Landscapes! My husband and I started the hunt for a landscape designer for our home. We soon realized a small front yard is not something designers were interested in. 😕

But Angele took us on and she knocked it out of the park. She is an excellent listener and so easy to talk to. She’s my favorite contractor of all time! We wanted low watering since California will probably be prone to more droughts than not. And our front yard is mostly shade with a small section of full sun. Not an easy task. I can hardly wait until the plants are their peak size!

The workers she recommended did such a careful job and were so pleasant. They added plants, hidden watering and lighting to make sure our walkway was lit at night for safety. They chopped down a tree we had that wasn’t working for us. They were even able to add a 2’ divider fence at the last minute —with no complaints!

We’re not planning to move, but we sure have curb appeal. It brings joy to my soul to drive up now and see Angele’s artistry. (She also knows how individual plants work.)

I recently had the pleasure of working with 1Bay for my landscaping project. Their approach to design was holistic, considering not just aesthetics but also functionality. They carefully selected plants that thrive in my garden's conditions and worked to incorporate new plants with what was already working and we wanted to keep, resulting in a beautiful and sustainable landscape. They used creative techniques with mounds, boxes, and planters that created really eye-catching features and even worked in some of the ideas my kids proposed so they felt like they made a contribution.

Chris took the time to collaborate with us to achieve our vision for our garden. He had good suggestions taking into consideration the amount of sun we get along with utilizing drought tolerant native plants. He’s works hands on all his projects and takes pride in his work.

Chris transformed our yard in lower Piedmont from a weed-filled mess to a beautiful native flower garden over the course of the last 6 months. He used the sheet-mulching technique during December to cover the grass and weeds that were growing, and helped remove a few plants and a whole bunch of rocks and pavers that we didn't enjoy during that process. Then in spring he came back and, working with us on plant selection, planted a gorgeous set of natives that are really taking off in our yard and which should be drought tolerant once established. He went above and beyond to care for our plants in the early stages, stopping by frequently to check on the soil moisture and water as needed. He communicated clearly by text and email throughout the process and he's altogether a great guy to work with.

Chris really transformed our front yard from a weedy mess into a beautiful native plant garden. He designed a garden that took into consideration all the plants that I liked and was flexible in working within the constraints of our budget and our yard size. I would definitely work with him again.

Chris and his team continue to do what they do best, design and maintain gorgeous landscaping. My landscaping project was completed a little over a year ago and I love how the plants have all filled in. Chris chose plants that would thrive based on shade, sunlight and seasonal blooming. He continues to care for the plants by scheduled fertilizing and checking irrigation seasonally.
Chris is easy to reach and responds quickly to any questions I have, and new projects moving forward.
